- Sep.19 -- Jeff Bezos, Amazon Founder, entrepreneur and owner of the Washington Post, talks to David Rubenstein about his background, how he came up with the idea for Amazon, building the company, some of the key businesses including Prime and Whole Foods, the space race and philanthropy. The world's richest man says his most important decisions are made not with quantitative analysis but "with instinct, intuition, taste, heart." Bezos speaks in the latest episode of "The David Rubenstein Show: Peer-to-Peer Conversations." The interview was taped on September 13 in Washington.
As an elder millennial, one of the few advantages is having lived through the Great Recession. My advice. Reduce unnecessary expenses, increase your savings by investing in financial markets and do not sell. One thing I know for sure is that diversifying your income can help insulate you from much of the craziness going on in the world.

There are a lot of strategies to make tongue-wetting profit that the average joes don't know. . Personally, the financial-market for me seems the only way forward with my long time horizon (accrued roughly $457k in gains since Mid 2021 ) but if you don’t have that fortune of time it’s a tough market out there almost nowhere feels safe!

I'm reading about the downfall of Enron and they had the exact opposite view of Amazon. All they did was focus on quarterly results and tried to boost them and didn't even consider how the results may impact the future. It didn't work out well. Basically, three men and their poor decisions killed a company with 20,000 employees. Amazon has grown because of Mr. Bezos's skill as a founder and leader.

Same case here, the parents that put in the effort and sacrifice. Sacrificing their own dreams, sacrificing their own money, and time, and peace of mind, to raise the kids. Are the real parents. The birth mother is a real biological relationship that hurts the mum if the child isn't faring well, but beyond that, the biological parents lose relevance in my mind anyway.

Yes, the videos were very interesting and informatable. It is definitely not as easy to start up a business as some people might think. Starting a business takes a lot of planning and hard work. I would have to make sure that you are willing to dedicate yourself to that job, whatever that may be. When it comes to hiring I would look for how enthusiastic and dedicated that they are with the task at hand.
You can learn a lot from this man. I like the idea of making few good quality decisions a day.

I think one of the most important take aways from this is when he acknowledged the other packer saying “we need packing tables” rather going with his own idea of “we need knee pads”. Goes to show that great entrepreneurs aren’t always the smartest tool themselves but rather can recognize ideas in others.

Thank you for quality programming. What you are describing here is accurate - the flight to safety to the US stock market and dollar. This is what is keeping the market going at this time and preventing a crash. This "melt UP" phase will go on for a while, then as the global economy crashes so will US markets only harder due to the "No Win scenario" that has been created by so much obscene debt. Next comes the "Default Phase" with mega-massive bankruptcies and lastly "Asset Seizures" where banks and the Fed government will simply declare an extreme national emergency to justify the crisis and debit your account directly. The fools will think that this could never happen. The actual legislation for this type of action is already in place. My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 370k from day trading with Tammy Brockman in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish.
