- Oct.17 -- Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, talks with David Rubenstein about how she became head of the world's largest law firm, her stint serving in top roles in the French government, and her leadership since 2011 of the IMF. The interview was taped in at the IMF headquarters in Washington on Sept. 19.
As always, an excellent David Rubenstein interview. High on substance and collegiality; low on drama and "put-downs". Interviewing and knowledge/experience sharing with dignity and decency. Thank you both David Rubenstein and Christine Lagarde for doing this--and making it available without charge.

I have a lot of respect for Christine Lagarde but what she said about women in the board room produce better returns and profits the evidence is the opposite is true, so she is possible bias on that, I do think that if Madame Lagarde had been at the helm when the financial meltdown happened I believe it would not have happened, I have heard she is now some bigwig in the European Parliament good luck to her, David Rubenstein looks and sounds like the attorney general Bill Barr its uncanny.
