I can't find this in stock anywhere. I've been using "Goop" glue for years on other projects. It's a blend of polyurethane and silicone and it looks like it behaves very similar to this. I'd love to see you try it first though!
This is absolutely a fantastic video!!! Definitely going in my “how to” playlist for fpv worry free to share with everyone!😎 thank you Adam🙂 well done!
Dude make this tube have a micro head please… it would eliminate the mess. I’d be able to fit in smaller spaces effortlessly and leave a clean layer instead of a gloopy mess. Great stuff but awful design. (Would also eliminate bubble issue as well which is incredibly annoying)
@@ryanclinetv I have tested other bottle designs but this one works the best if you put a blob in the center of the board and spread it out from there. If the nozzle is thinner (like kotking’s tubes) the cap will pop off and the glue will go everywhere. I could put it in metal tubes with a fine nozzle but I dont think anyone on this planet enjoys using those. There shouldn’t be any bubbling issue if all the glue is at the nozzle of the tube.
@@brandan_fpv just my experience doing it the other day. Could have used half of the liquid if it had a fine nose, would be much better for heat… even a syringe would be amazing for getting it evenly in a thin layer on the board. Might stick it one myself, next time I’ll test it out if this FC takes a dump haha
I will say right at the end (when it smooshes it) I love how you put that in there and the best way to avoid that if holding your escs with a zip tie which I do and I’m sure everyone does all I do is just put heat shrink over it while It’s still wet and it seals the whole thing and pushes out all the air bubbles👍
I am in the process of doing a thin conformal coat as well like mg chemicals for more normal use just in case overheating does become an issue. So far no complaints even in the summer heat of Australia🙂
Why do you avoid putting the worry free on the mosfetts? Because it will insulate them not allowing heat to escape through the heat sink. I will say the worry free is pretty messy to work through for resoldering.
Firstly, thanks for all of your videos and work you put into this. 😄 I got a few questions. What do you think about conformal coating? As you said it's not as reliable. Any advantages it has? and what can be done to make it more reliable? ( Can increasing the number of coats for example help?
For thinner coatings like conformal coating and corrosion x, I’ve found that it works fine for everything but the ESC. My best guess is that the other electronics just work on lower voltage so short’s are rarer, and when they do happen they often don’t fry the electronics. I really like corrosion X because it’s quick and even waterproofs the buttons and plugs for extra security.
@@colter7300 I need to put on some pool noodles or a bottle. I just came back from the beach and followed hundreds of birds 300 ft out in the Ocean. Lucky nothing happened
Hello, I already got worry free and now I would like some more information about the shortsaver to do some testing before launching myself, what model is it exactly?
I just bought some kotking but I can't wait to get my hands on some worry free

Hi how much worry free do you need for a full Build would one bottle work?

Good idea. I'm starting to think individual ESCs are a good idea in some cases!
I used to recommend silicone conformal coating, but it has a tendency to flake off. These products seem like a much better option.

@@brandan_fpv I have the same product (MG chemical 422C). I can easily scrape off the coating with my fingernail.
@@yannickg6904 yeah I used it too myself and actually fried a fc and esc in the rain
Wouldn't have been better just to block the opening of the heat shrinks?
I did the the first time and it works but as soon as a hole gets poked from like a ziptie you are screwed
Wont this make the circuit board run hotter?
It might. Will be testing that out.
Seeing as we hope to be starting carrier trials soon, this ought to be handy.
Did you ever try b-7000 glue? That seems to be the stuff that the fpv people over in Russia use more than anything.

Absolute great video man!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Will it clean off with alcohol?
No no waterproofing does.
Great review and demonstration. Do you think that the alligator clamp squished it like that due to heating the PCB while soldering?
Thanks. No, it was just because of the pressure.

how does worry free compare to hot glue? ty for these vids
I'm defiantly goin to do this if my dads boss want's his yacht filmed. I just have to decide if a 5" can deal with the wind or do I need a 7"
And flotation?

Bro your video is to knowledge 😘😘❤️❤️
Glad I could help!
My i6x transmitter inside board is of blue colour so it is original or fake
I haven't heard of any fake flyskys. It's probably just from a different batch.
@@RCwithAdam1 no it's a flysky

I was listening to the video and was like: is this guy saying it's better than Cocaine?

Thanks!
I was hearing this on a low volume ony phone and for the first minute all I hear is......
This is definately better that cocaine. 😄
🤣👌😉
Сравнение не корректное. И по идее, любой состав, который изолирует проводники уже хорош. Весь вопрос в механической прочности, эластичности,
