    Nicer beaches near the resorts! You don't have to stay in the resorts. Many nice restaurants. Watch out for fleecers.

    You are lucky you were not detained for not having your visa on you. Its necessary for foreigners to do that. Kudos to the security guys. You are doing your work right. As for the ferry gates closing, its a life saving objective. People have at one time overloaded the ferry and it sunk and many lives were lost. Great video though.

    That was very cheap for the food. So Mombasa is a lot cheaper than Nairobi. And it great to get Biryani in Kenya...it is one of my favorite foods.

    I like White sandy beaches. Not many places in the world have the white sandy beaches. That is why Kenya beaches are considered very beautiful as they are like the Maldives. The difference is that in the Maldives they clean the beaches of seaweed. The beaches are spotless in the Maldives. It is also very, very expensive in the Maldives...so maybe they include the clean up in everything you pay for.

    I took the glass bottom boat but it was pretty useless. I couldn't see the fish because of all the seaweed, yet the pictures they show you to sell you the ride they show you beautiful pictures of just the fish, no seaweed. It is a complete waste of money. When selling us the trip the guy told us he would take us all over but once we paid for it, he said he couldn't go to a lot of places...... so be aware, a lot of these activities are tourist traps.
    You are better of just walking on the beach by yourself, when the water retrieves during low tide and you can walk all the way to the reef.
    You made a good decision to get a guide.
    I love the beaches of Kenya!! They are beautiful!!

    One thing about Kenya the Police will pull you over for no reason at all. And you do not have the same rights as you have in the UK or the US. And my local friends told me that it is best not question them but just be friendly with them. It made me realize the big difference between the West and Kenya. You just have to accept things the way they are. Just corporate with them. Sometimes it means a bribe. The locals can explain better.

      Bro I just landed at the airport this morning and it happened to me. Literally asked me what I have for them I laughed dapped them up and said "I aint even got nothing for my mum yet give me a chance to get comfortable". The security watched my bag while I was getting a sim card which was his job then asked for a tip I just gave him 2k shillings, then he was like can I come with you to London... I was thinking bruv i just landed where am I.

    • @Davissaidi
      @Davissaidi 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@AllThingsPJro why pay them 2k,even 50bob is enough or even shouldn't give them atall. By giving them these bribes,the habit will never end.

    • @AllThingsPJ
      @AllThingsPJ 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Davissaidi what I as a single person does has absolutely no affect on the clear begging culture in Kenya. Its bizarre to me that people with jobs still beg and/or intimidate tourists for money. This issue I believe is cultural, there has to be a re-education of how to treat tourists so the country can attract more not drive away the few that come. In the grand scope of things me giving one guy money doesn't mean a damn thing.

    • @fgk824
      @fgk824 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As much as I agree with you about bribes I think its necessary for foreigners to be checked well at check points. We have had issues of alshabaab terrorists so security is paramount. For bribes if they ask tell them you have no money. At last they will let you go. Its bad but what to do.

    That was such a short trip man.
    The night life is crazy in this part of the world. You got the wrong person to show you around. Piece of advice, when you go somewhere, get a resident to show you around. They know more that people who just visit occasionally. That guy wasted your trip. Plus the maasai guy made 600 out of you. The price of the item is 200.

    Yes, Tyme, we don't wear those shoes to the bach!! have sandals or just take off your shoes and walk barefoot. Also, the madafu guy cheated you, they normally have straws. Always ak before they cut. If they don't have it tell them you don't need to purchase. You might be surprised a straw will appear majically.
