The train ride looked very smooth and comfortable. And the food looks good. It is a good connection to Mombasa, it will help with development. It is great to get to see animals on the train.
I love the coast of Kenya compared to Nairobi and upcountry. I love the smell of the ocean. And the different kinds of food and fruits too eat. And the beautiful white sandy beaches with the madafus and mandazies. People complain about the heat but I don't mind it when you look at all the beautiful places on the coast. I had friends (when I visited over 10 years ago) that took me for a drink to a different high end hotel every evening. It was so fantastic to sit at a beautiful hotel with the different architecture and be served a drink by the kind hotel staff while enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. I was truly amazed at the incredible expensive looking beautiful architectural of these high end hotels on the beach!!!...I mean "Wow"! I was told they are primarily owned by wealthy foreign owners from the Middle East, Europe and Israel with a local partner. Like I said, I wish I could afford to live in Kenya. It was great to get the experience in these very fancy high end hotels without breaking the bank to stay in them. Tyme, you should do that too, in the evenings, visit a different high end hotel every evening and just get a drink and take it in. You don't have to do much, walking around exploring the hotel and the beach and relax with a drink. At least they allow you to drink at the hotel. Most high end hotels in the US may have a lounge but it is reserved only for the paying residents of the hotel. Some of the hotels we visited also offered a night life with music and I saw a lot of 'muzungus', it looked like Europe. I was told a lot of Israelis visit Kenya and own a lot of the hotels too. Thank you for the information, as I so much want to travel to Kenya again especially taking that train. I don't care for Nairobi except for the cool weather and the animals but every one is different. My friends preferred Nairobi. Lots of history on the coast with Fort Jesus, Gedi, etc...too.
Did SGR with my daughter on a package tour to the coast. It is very efficient and proper plus the charging ports were super helpful! Maybe just carry some food.
True but all good Investment take like 25 year to pay back the problem some Incoming Goverment subortage them instead of finishing the whole projects and they start their own that Africa lilltle minds
When I go there I want to make this exact trip. My question is about the 1st class train ticket. Can I buy a ticket right before boarding at that ticket office, or do i buy and reserve it ahead of time for a ticket and if so where to buy it.
Do you know if they email ticket confirmation details? I don't plan on opening my cellphone number for international roaming - charges for South Africans are ludicrous😢
For a train travel, is it really necessary go through three security checkpoints? The terminus is not an airport. I don’t think so. I think Kenyans copied China given that Chinese companies built the railroad.
I'm not qualified to advice you but never call anyone 'nigga', especially foreigners. They won't take it they way we Africans do, to them that's racism
Being that Nairobi is so green, it sad to see that places are being built to look like Dubai. Kenya is not a desert. It can get very hot during the dry months and there are no trees...?? Why?. It is lacking in landscape architecture. Singapore Terminal Airport is considered the most beautiful Airport in the world where they used a lot of green with lots of trees and plants. This Terminus could be have been designed better using the green cover of Nairobi to make something look beautiful without spending the kind of money that was spent to build this Terminus.
@@williamwatitwa3534 you are missing the point! One has to think like an architect to understand what I meant! One can build a beautiful building using the rich resources already present in Kenya, the wide variety of beautiful plants and trees. This looks desolate. A lot of concrete was used which only adds to the climate crisis. Nairobi is considered a beautiful city, because of the beautiful landscape and green cover used in its design. Imagine if all they did was pour concrete to cover every square inch of Nairobi? Do you think it will look good then? It would be a lot cheaper to use plants and a green landscape to add incredible beauty. I used Singapore as an example of how green cover can beatify a place, and that you don't need to just pour concrete everywhere for a place to look good...case in the point again, the city of Nairobi. I read that there was a lot of controversy about the amount of money spent to build this concrete monstrosity. A new branch in architecture is 'landscape architecture' where one can use plants and trees to create beautiful spaces. I feel Kenyans were duped into spending a fortune on this concrete bunker when they could have gotten a much beautiful building using what Nairobi has plenty of, beautiful plants and trees. This is like something you would build in the desert where there is nothing but sand. And it could have been done for a fraction of the cost! I would hate to live in the Middle East with no green cover, just concrete that makes the place much hotter and uncomfortable. I wonder what this building feels like during the hot dry summer months in Nairobi. Fortunately it is huge and has a lot of open space. Had it gotten packed with people it would be very uncomfortable to be in.

You have to book in advance
Book it in advance to avoid missing out. They sell out quickly.
You buy online..

@@mishkahdavids-vaggie2955 I am sure they do, coz not everyone has a local number
The culture of Kenya / Africa is that you should eat with your right hand .
I eat with both hands. No matter where I go.
What was the price
Uzuri firstclass na economi class ni same train
Im connected i watched your vlogs in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia and Pakistan. The vlog of India didnt seem interesting to me.

How much was the Uber ride to Nyali?

3k each.
Hi man , how much you rent that place in Nairobi ? IST hostel ? By month or day ?
Bro really said carry your own food while the lady was serving?🤣 Na Edwin uache kudanganya watu bwana.
I have been in the train it is boring 😐
I am a kenyan but you are showing me things I have never seen
Is because you don't want to see them 😂
really 😂😂
Tyme London are you Caribbean? African? Black american? Black south american? British black?
You forgot eat your meals on the train restaurant where you wash your hands before eating unlike what you did😂😂
The ladies waiting people with their menu is a turn off. Let people choose the restaurant of their choice.
Competition is stiff 😅
Learn to say no. Don't let anything that come your way bother you.
True 💯
Keep doing ya thing nigga. We see you 💯🇰🇪

Is it less expensive to rent an apartment than to get a hotel room?
Prices are roughly the same.

When we want infrastructure we want Singapore style, but when we need the taxes to build the infrastructure we say we ain't Singapore like
