New TSSF album blew me away. I admittedly got into tssf super late(only in the past year). I heard no pressure first lol. But I saw no pressure at Tied Down Detroit(local for me) and it was an out of body experience. It changed the way I view live music. I also saw TSSF 3 times on their current tour with ADTR, and while yes, I wish they had their old energy, they're still realllllly good live.
I watch your videos all of the time I’m in my mid thirties.. was excited for TSSF and Champs got excited when you mentioned bands that are coming up while the first band played I said to myself I should tag New Aesthetic…. Then they came up and I started yelling!!! And screaming! Thanks ❤ -Dylan’s aunt.
The thumbnail just happens to be my favorite two singers and bands in this genre! I'm beyond calling the story so far just a pop punk band though. They transcended that base title from the 3rd album onward.
i mean this with all due respect to everyone who listens, but tssf blows state champs (and practically every band in the scene) out of the water. they are on another level. it's just refreshing to hear consistently raw and honest music from them, along with the fact that their musicianship is unparalleled IMO. they are melodic hardcore fused with pop punk. i don't think i'll ever find a band that hits like them honestly. title fight is a close second behind them for me
i broadly enjoy both sides and this is the first time ive heard it broken down like this. makes sense! if this is an indication of what your channel is like im gonna be a consistent subscriber:)
Yessss 100% good call out! I want to write more videos like this that dive into the nuances of the scene that go relatively unnoticed. There’s so much to extrapolate!
@@JawncoreIL i never heard that wave referred to as “nu pop punk” but it makes so much sense haha. if theres a new wave of it now or approaching, what do we label that?
If there’s anyone doing anything interesting with pop punk, I’d like to know. Say, a cross between Blink 182 and The Smiths, or taking it back to the New York Dolls and garage roots. Hell, even the space age pop of the fifties and sixties being a source of pop for pop punk would be quite interesting.
Love both tssf and SC. I think they definitely represent the spectrum of the genre, they’re both bands that have matured with their audiences. It’s kinda mashed potatoes and fries I guess
@@JawncoreILyeah I have to admit I’m biased toward SC as I’ve met them a couple times and even worked with pure noise to clear Perfect Score for a student filming did but definitely love both. Really love the video we need more content like this on the platform
I couldn't finish the story so far. Just too boring. And the sound is kind of meh too. I'm not huge on that band anyway but it felt like the singer would sound much better live than he sounds on that record. All in all though not impressed.
My aunt sent me this and was tripping out because we were in it. Thanks for making ours and her year haha!
Dude HELL yeah haha your aunt rocks! Keep up the awesome tunes 🤘 def gotta catch a show when I’m back in SD!
Major props for the New Aesthetic shout out! Swear to god those boys are next up 😤
They’re soo good man 👏

Same. I'm school of 99/2000 and missed TSSF first time around. Found No Pressure last year, now found Story and the new album is just amazing

Tssf, knuckle puck, and state champs need to tour together. It would be one of the most legendary tours

i feel i might like state champs if i were 12 and immune to cheesy songwriting. except elevated that's a tune.

@@JawncoreILgreat minds 😂
I couldn’t last 5 minutes without feeling the biggest cringe from this video
More like TaylorCan’tHang
the story so far truly peaked in 2007 with 12 year old torf.
Wish I could say I memba

Appreciate you watching either way man 🙏
