No pressure is honestly the thing I was missing in this era of pop punk. Fast riffs, shouty lyrics and parker cannon going at it again. Can't wait to see them maybe even twice this summer
alsooo I never got the here's my letter and save your spot similarity until you pointed it out and its so clearly inspired by it! TSSF is also opening for Blink 182 on their EU and UK tour
I feel like you missed the most important part: this band did it by buzz and word of mouth. They're not out there blasting their shit all over social media, building a following that way. it was all done by fans of the band. It's kind of refreshing.
I'm a huge Blink 182 fan and No Pressure managed to recreate similar sound yet still so refreshing. No Pressure is like when Blink 182 and TSSF had a baby.
I love No Pressure, they have that sound that I adore, I can't stop recommending this band to everyone. As a fan of both TSSF and No Pressure, I wouldn't be mad if Parker prioritizes No Pressure over TSSF with a new album :D
100% agree with everything It's exactly what I needed. When pop punk evolved at its best in the early 2010s I had the feeling it was going too soft recently. No pressure brought it back to the roots making fast, simple, loud, raw and fun music. It's a winning formula. It's just so easy getting addicted. Also, it was easy for them to stand out these days when pop punk music is almost a copy of mgk. These guys don't give a shit to sell, they want to play for fun. What else can I say? "Chaos often breeds life, when order breeds habit." Henry Adams. This quote was written on the box car racer album and sums up this perfectly
No pressures headlining tour this year was one of the most insane shows ive ever gotten the pleasure to go to. I have never seen a crouch go so crazy. Literally just people throwing themselves off the stage like at a jump park. Literally in the middle of the crowd just people bobbing my head over and over
This is the exact sound I’ve been looking for. I’ve tried to find other bands to describe the kind of music I’d like to make and this is it. Straight up perfect mix of posi and punk. Easycore elements without all the synths and stuff. Splendid
Hey I was there when they played in Manila! That is by far the best gig/show I went to (Second is when TSSf went here 2019). Surely a highlight of my 2023 tops bar to none!
I think what made No Pressure so big so fast is that they're a side project from The Story So Far. The Story So Far are great, and I first heard about them in 2014, when they already had 2 albums out. Either way, No Pressure is great and I'm loving their music - also Mark Hoppus from Blink-182 gave them a small shout out when chat asked what are his current favorite punk bands.
When I was in high school I scored through my dads old cds and found Blinks old Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch and Enema of the state. It’s all I listened to and helped me with all the teenage angst. This band is like that period of my life with Parker Cannon as the singer and it’s fucking incredible. So refreshing
There really is something special about being in a sold out punk show packed to the brim, cant even take a step because of the sea of people, but you can feel the good vibes from everyone around there's ZERO hostility, despite being very fast paced and energetic. I feel bad for the younger kids that didn't really get a chance to experience warped tour, it was a very accessible way to get exposed to so many bands. That and myspace music. The era of Man O / Major League, and the beginning of getting the international bands to tour in America like Neck Deep / Boston Manor / Trophy Eyes. This is the best the scene has felt since those times in my opinion!
No Pressure had an amazing welcome in South America, this bands doesn't even have an IG page and their concerts last december in south amarica were absolutely nuts, crazy how everyone in the scene knew all the songs
Saw Blink/NFG/Jimmy at the Gorge in 2001 when I was 13. No pressure brings me back to that day and that era. I’m 35 and the last three years of punk and hardcore has lit a fire, respect to Gen Z for keeping it real.
Saw NP in the middle of a blizzard in NYC at the beginning of 2022. One of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to and hope to see them again, the crowd participation was nothing like I had ever experienced
I really like your take on this and I am starting to like the the band too. Because it’s fast, raw straightforward and not too pop. But I’m honestly amazed on the impact of it. I mean it’s not like they are doing something new, it’s just punk rock with a bit of pop and a bit of hardcore. It’s great but it’s nothing we have not already seen. Have you heard No trigger? Shook ones? Rust belt Lights? Even old Title Fight come to mind. I To sum it up, I’m really happy they keep it fast and honest and I love that the kids are into it. But it’s nothing groundbreaking.
No Pressure and Stand Atlantic are easily the two best pop punk bands of this decade so far. And honestly it's not even close. They're revitalizing the genre.
Love the video, this is exactly what i felt about no pressure. Even comparing it with old skate punk blink. They even play carousel live maaaan😂 THEY NEED TO COME TO EUROPE FINALLY
No Pressure is insanely refreshing, fell in love with TSSF in 2017 and when NP surfaced I fell in love with them just as much. Got to see one of their early shows in a small bar in Richmond VA throw some bows and meet Parker without going absolute fanboy and just explained my gratitude to him for making some great music that got me through stuff I never imagined getting out of. Can’t wait to see them again
If you ever want to hear overly saccharine done perfectly though, check out state champs. State champs and the story so far on a tour together would be so perfect. Champs would be the sweet to TSSFs sour. The honey and the vinegar.
I saw them live in Jan '23 and a couple months ago. They are amazing live, the mosh is intense and sweaty! (Which i love) Edit: As i watch, i was at the show at 7:26 in the video. Stay Gold, Melbourne. At least im pretty sure, i do recognise the venue
no pressure refubished my love of pop punk, I was into blink 182 , nfg, & mxpx growing up. Then in the 00's & 10's pop punk got washed out with the whole "scene" phase. I couldn't listed to any of those bands without cringing. No pressure really brings pop punk back to that orginall skate punk & hardcore roots. Love this band so much
I love this video!! have my subscription man. Thank you for putting into words how I feel about this band..... one of the coolest discoveries i've had over the past few years. Parker is in his mf bag
I need to hear more of this band. Everything I've heard, I liked and the story so far is one of my favorite bands. TSSF have a flawless discography thus far and I have no doubt that no pressure is no different.
No Pressure it's second best thing that ever happened to me with after my previous gf, even though it didn't last long ended up being cheated but then No Pressure came from nowhere saved my life at last. Thank you Parker, and I'm forever grateful for NP
I love no pressure, gives me the old tssf vibes I miss. Makes me miss the 2010s when pop punk took a hardcore edge (easycore was going big), and melodic hardcore was popping off.
If they played punk rock and existed in the mid 1990s, I've seen them live. From the music to the shows to the covers (Gorilla Biscuits especially, seen so many bands cover them) the attitude, the logo, the album covers, No Pressure screams mid 90s melodic hardcore. Before MTV and before the Warped Tour. When everything was a joke and fun and didn't matter.
You, Re lucky..!,, Blink 182,,is, what we called here,, High school Punk,,.. parker said at the first no pressure show in the san jose that he started no pressure because he wanted that small venue vibe again after tssf had been going strong since 2012
@@JawncoreIL I think they should fire him or should've not even give the job in the first place. I was super disappointed when i found out about it. Also disappointed at Parker.

Couldn’t agree more! Twice in one summer would be amazing 🫨 fr it’s so cool TSSF is touring with Blink, bet it feels like a dream come true for Parker
@@JawncoreIL I'm defo seeing them 1 time but I got to see if I can go the second time even if its only 10 min from my home hahaha
its the same fuckin song over and over same as the story so far parker cannon hasnt evolved in 15 years haha jesus
no pressure is a perfect pop punk band with just enough hardcore elements to get new kids into the HC scene…they’re exactly what both scenes needed.
so well said
I feel like you missed the most important part: this band did it by buzz and word of mouth. They're not out there blasting their shit all over social media, building a following that way. it was all done by fans of the band. It's kind of refreshing.
Ah man you’re totally right! Well put!
I'm a huge Blink 182 fan and No Pressure managed to recreate similar sound yet still so refreshing. No Pressure is like when Blink 182 and TSSF had a baby.
HAHA YES LITERALLY 💯
Theyre like cheshire cat / dude ranch era of blink but more hardcore
I was at the Manila show.. and it's one of the best show I attended. 🔥
Duuude I’m
Jealous! Looked absolutely insane!
Honestly no pressure reminds me of pre shed title fight
I’m 44 years old and just discovered these guys about a year ago. They have totally renewed my faith in the younger punk generation!
I think angel du$t and seltzer are other recent “punk” bands that deserve an honorable mention
Looove Angel Du$t 😍 I’ll have to check out seltzer!
Saw them on the 21st, Parker had the mic for maybe half the show. He's all about making the crowd part of the show and I think he needed that.
Title fights shows were like this, im glad theres a new band bringing the same energy we definitely need more of it in the scene
I wish I could of seen title fight back then
THIS IS TRUE
That transition from American pie to Superbad was just perfect
Yes, more bands like Shook Ones, Kid Dynamite, etc.
I love No Pressure, they have that sound that I adore, I can't stop recommending this band to everyone. As a fan of both TSSF and No Pressure, I wouldn't be mad if Parker prioritizes No Pressure over TSSF with a new album :D
yeah but BIG BLIND is a huuuuge song as well.
100% agree with everything

mostly reminiscent of 90s blink and i love them so fucking muchhhhh man

@6:22 yes parker even said on After school radio that they would play 50 blink songs as warm ups during the writing of the first released EP
I didn’t know that 🫨 that’s fucking sick!
I love their sound because it feels like they put in a lot of effort to make it sound like they're not trying at all.
Seeing them next week in Ft Worth I’m so excited. Been such a fresh breath of music for me the past 2 years

Seeing them Friday in Chicago! Cant fucking wait.
I’ll be there too! So pumped man! Plus Koyo 🤩
Saw them in NYC and it was a hell of a show!! Saw Koyo for the first time and they're awesome live as well. Have fun!

fuck yea dood! it's so rad to know parker still has a passion for that fast pop punk that early the story so far had. awesome video!

my only problem publicly supporting them is their drummer 🥹🥹🔪
Just saw them at the bottom lounge on Friday, one of my favorite shows I've ever seen!
I was there too!! Unbelievable performances, never knew Illusion until then and they tore it up 🔥

And in my opinion, even though no pressure is newer… they’re better. (There’s a place in my heart for their kind of double time skate punk)
Saw No Pressure at the Bottom Lounge in Chi the other night and it was one of the craziest shows I’ve been to, so glad to see this video!
Saw them in LA at the Belasco and hopefully at Sound and Fury since I’ll only be able to make one of the days!!!! SO FUN AND SO GOOD
No Pressure could be the catalyst for a new skatepunkrock movement🎉🎉
Fingers crossed! 🤞
@@JawncoreIL i missed them last year. We discovered them, and we went to look for shows, 1 month earlier only 30 minutes away.. noooooo😆
I’m seeing them at the end of the month. They’ve been nowhere near OK, but I finally get to see them in TX. I’m so damn excited.

I completely agree. This is the first pop punk band I’ve liked since like Dillinger four. Not overly saccharine and raw sounding.

Pretty trippy seeing a show I was just at last week used in a commentary video lmao (@ 7:25 in NYC). This band is the future 🙌

Growing up listening to blink and sum41 back in the early 2000s no pressure hands down have the best punk sound I’ve heard since those old bands
No Pressure is outstanding. I watch them play in Jakarta and it's one hell of a show.
Saw them in Columbus and got a concussion. No regrets. Best night ever
The best music ever created to skateboard too. Bombing hills blasting No Pressure is euphoria

MAN I hear you! I miss those days
I agree this band is amazing !
I bought a Phase pedal for my pedalboard just to play Save Your Spot!
Just saw them in Chicago. Best band ever
They're so good. I hope they get famous. I would love to make own emo and punk band that makes concept albums just like mcr.
Can’t go wrong ripping blink in a good way
