    What a find!! I'm sure that car brought a pretty penny when sold. That color combination inside and out is very classy and ages very well if maintained properly. The paint looks so deep and shiny like creamed buhta.....lol. The smooth lines of the body and simplicity of all the accoutrements in the cabin were hot selling points back when this car was new. When Cadillac and Chrysler were adding more chrome and glitz to their top-of-the-line automobiles, Lincoln went the other direction: "Less is more. Refinement and luxury doesn't have to be gaudy or ostentatious." And yes, those are the original color-keyed factory floor mats that match the plastic on the dash. And by the way.....the exclusive 'hump' on the Mark series was not FROM the old T-birds from the 1950's. It was created on the Continental Mark II back in the mid 50's to replicate the old trunk mounted spare of the older original Continentals. Hence, the term "continental kit" was coined. And was used by a large number of American automakers in the 1950's thru 1970's. The continental hump was carried over through all the Mark series until it's demise. The Mark VIII resembled a T-bird but still had a modest hump on rear deck lid. IMO the Mark III were the most bold and best looking but I believe as far as style and understated glamour the Mark IV had it going on. I enjoyed the video and indepth walk-around of this fabulous piece of automotive history. Great job.👍

    This is the Gold/Cream Luxury Group w/optional body side molding and Landau Roof. Standard wheel covers, shame no forged aluminum wheels. Cruise control was an option as well in 1976.

    Beautiful car, but ....for sale since october 2016 ! Why ?

    • @Flemingsclassics
      @Flemingsclassics  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's actually incorrect. We had it in October 2016, sold it and it came back to us for resale just this month. That happens often as people often buy cars from us, keep them and enjoy them for a little while and then trade for something else. This one was traded back to us for a Maserati!

    I bet you got that for cheap..... and are killing anyone on the price... to make a living. These cars are all about money to you..and Gateway and all the rest. Rich peoples toys now.
