How to Get Another Speeding Ticket with a Radar Detector

We manage to get another speeding ticket on this cross country trip, our first police laser/police LiDAR speeding ticket.
We were targeted at the rear from an overhead position where the officer was hidden from view.
Our speed was 90 in a 65 mph zone.
Given the speed of the flow of the traffic was between 80-87 mph our speed of 90 was barely above the average speed, but it was enough to warrant a traffic stop.
It is our hope that we can negotiate our charges speed down in light of this fact.
This speed trap was one of the most lethal we have encountered in our experiences.
