As a Korean there are a few things we respect and one of them was shining from the Malaysian team. It's the fighting spirit. Despite all odds, the Malaysians were running at 150% even until the last second of the game. Very respectable and commendable! As a singaporean, i freaking love all of this. I in complete tears when malaysia were 2-1 up and Morales scoring that equaliser at the end. Really love everything from the fans arriving early at the stadium to them chanting non stop throughout the match and to the players fighting spirit against South Korea. This Asian Cup will be remembered as the greatest one in my life. Lesser sides have an opportunity to shine against bigger teams, especially the four SEA nations, who played for the first time since 2007, when they were the co-hosts. Vietnam, despite not grabbing a single point, showed a good spirit against Japan and Iraq, even taking a lead. Indonesia did scored a goal in all 3 group games and we are still in the tournament, playing against the Socceroos, thanks to Kirgistan's late equaliser against Oman. Malaysia, same as Vietnam, but in worse ways, finally grabbed a point after a hardwork against the mighty South Korea and almost took the lead. Finally, despite of bad preparation, which could hamper results in the tournament, Thailand were unbeaten in a group stage, even holding Saudi Arabia, who defeated Argentina in the last World Cup, to a goalless draw. This is still a big achievement for the AFF nations, overall. In the women's football, we can't even forget Thailand's 3-2 win over the Ivory Coast in 2015 World Cup and Philippines' shock win over New Zealand in the last World Cup.
