It really is a shame the Argentine/Brazilian Leagues are not covered live by tv here in Europe, the League table/fixtures/results for Argentina are not even covered on the BBC football site. Thankfully the Libertadores games are.
It’s not for a lack of reason. The Argentine league has been mismanaged for decades and it’s terrible atm. A decade ago they added 10 teams, and now we have 30 fucking teams in the first division, AFA changes the format every 6 months, Chiqui Tapia (the head of AFA) cancels relegations haphazardly, weeks before the end of the season, for political favors to get re-elected, final matches are haphazardly canceled or added. It’s completely unserious. As a league, the Brasileirao is much better, with 20 teams and everyone fighting for something. 6 go to libertadores, 6 go to sudamericana, and 4 are relegated

Yeah, the stadium is mega MEGA outdated compared to any modern stadium. It gives me a bit of cringe nowadays when people want to make seem la Bombonera as something special, its just an urban legend now. The stadium is so bad nowadays that the players just have a small and uncomfortable place to take out corner kicks.

A decade ago they added 10 teams, and now we have 30 fucking teams in the first division, AFA changes the format every 6 months, Chiqui Tapia (the head of AFA) cancels relegations haphazardly, weeks before the end of the season, for political favors to get re-elected, final matches are haphazardly canceled or added. It’s completely unserious.
As a league, the Brasileirao is much better, with 20 teams and everyone fighting for something. 6 go to libertadores, 6 go to sudamericana, and 4 are relegated
For me the matches usually are in the middle of the night. Im not staying up until 3am for a football match

The only problem is that they still face Brazillian clubs who posed a serious threats in the Libertadores. Brazillian clubs were huge favorites to win the Libertadores, and they had always won it since 2019.
