Try scratching those leaves when they get that close and aren't gobbling, boys. TN toms can be real quiet sometimes, but if they're that close, give them some extra good stuff real soft. Scratch the leaves!! Best hen call there is for wary gobblers in TN
I stumbled on your videos through a Shane Simpson video I watched. I have now watched several of your videos and really enjoy em. Anybody can go kill birds on stocked ranches with feeders but you guys hunt hard birds on public land. I really enjoy the videos. Keep em up.

Great video. 40 years ago, TWRA committed to a turkey restoration program for the state. Back then it was uncommon to see turkey in some parts of the state. Looks like it worked out well, especially considering getting on to 10 turkeys the first day.
Turkey hunting in South cherokee wma sux .twra and us forest service don't know how to manage big game. Twra has the dumbest ass Commission er in charge .his name ed carter .needs to be fired soon

I’m so pumped man watching these videos drive me crazy lol May 1st here in Upstate New York can’t come soon enough. I walked up on a flock of turkeys yesterday afternoon and listened to the scratching around then walked up and they were strutting. Atleast 3 longbeards! It’s getting close
Looks like you guys need, backpack, battery cases for your cell phones. Seeing how you got them plugged in all the time.
Also guys remember to turn off your Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, when you’re out there cause they really drain your battery.
That pretty much sums up my day today as well.....

I live 10 minutes from where you fellas were hunting, have walked these grounds many a miles and killed several deer, never gotten on a Turkey though. Gonna see what we can do come April !

Thursday evening I was cleaning my car and heard the first gobble of the year for me and it gave me goosebumps. I would clap my hands and he would gobble ....... don’t know who was fired up more me or him
Jake you said at one point the birds sounded 'Jakeish'' to you. I say those birds just heard you calling and said the same thing. They said I bet that's those ol' hunting public boys and that calling sounds Jakeish so that's got to be him! lol Had to put that out there, I couldn't help myself. I'm a bit slow about getting turkey fever for some reason so far this year but you boys' videos always help so keep 'em comin. Have fun and stay safe!

I noticed in this vid, you guys were using mostly the pot call. Is it best to use one type of call per target? Also is it important to match the tones? For example, the pot call has a distinctive tone, should I try to match the tone if I were to switch to a mouth call?

You do not have to give me specifics, but what part of Tennessee is this? I live in east Tennessee and there is almost 0 public land out here, unless you are in Cherokee National forest. I find it very difficult to get out and hunt turkeys or anything for that matter.
