- Collecting sneakers, especially minimal ones in subtle colors, has always been a favorite hobby. My criteria for getting a pair involves several things: the materials the shoes are made of, their design, versatility, comfort level and even the culture behind them. Now that I've curated a number that I'm satisfied with - and since I don't have a strong desire to buy any new sneakers any time soon - I thought this would be a good time to give an overview of my core collection.

Great collection dude. Very similar taste to mine but I am shocked not to see at least a pair of Saint Laurent Andy & Axel Arigato clean 90. I collect minimal sneakers in doubles. I love the burgundy achilles low

My first time to watch your channel. To be honest, like you, my preference for Common Projects specifically their sneakers started several years ago. I have 4 of them. Blue, Beige, White and their suede black and white sole hicut. I observed how you style and pair them with pants and classy. Next in my list is Margiela replica. I felt i found someone having the same preferences in the shoe arena. Thanks and more power.

Do you size down on your CP’s? I’m an 11US and not sure if I should go with 43 or 44EU.
I'm 10.5-11 in US (wide) and I bought 43, they fit well but I have a little extra space. I'd go for 43

Use Jason Markk Repel spray on new sneakers and then do quick cleans every few wears. Spot clean when there's noticeable spots
How do the MM Replica’s compare to the Common Projects in sizing? I’m a US 9.5 and got a 41 (US 8) in the Common Projects and they fit great.
I wear 43 in CPs and 44 in MM

It depends on the brand you are asking for. For CPs I wear IT43 / UK10, MMs 44

I wear US10.5 Nikes, CPs UK10/IT43, MMs 44, AL 44
How do you keep them creaseless?
You can't keep them creaseless per se, but using shoes trees when not wearing them can help.
I own many CPs, and looking at the CDG Plays. I don't own any Chucks - can you tell me your CP size and your CDG size? I generally wear a 10.5 US, but I wear 42 in CP.
Oh really? I wear 10.5 US as well but 43 in CP. I wear 10 US / 44 EU in CDG.

They are the best alternative among all other brands that are trying to duplicate the success of CPs.

@@theaestheticminimalist Yes, I currently use shoe trees, but the plastic kind. I'm not sure if wooden or cedar would make a tremendous difference? I'm trying to purchase a few anyways. Do you a specific way of rotating your shoes? not wearing them back to back? I see that your white ones are in pretty good condition but you say you wear them a lot?

Doesn’t the side on the leather on your CPs tear up? I got my first pair and I fear it is a replica (ordered from mytheresa). The leather is tearing up on the side. #sad

The most worn pair of my CPs are the white achilles and I haven't experience any issues with the sides. I've never purchased anything from them, so I can't tell. Do you wear yours a lot?

He does wear them, lol. That clearly can be seen when he picks up the shoes and the bottom of the soles are shown. There’s this fascinating thing called wiping off your shoes after you wear them that leads to the shoes looking like new for longer. Not abusing them also helps. Yeah it’s “kind of ridiculous” 😂
@@RJ_100 There's no creases! They're unavoidable. If he walks in them for any duration -- any distance -- they'll show wear. He must wear other shoes for walking, and these from car to party/ restaurant/movies/date. I do this with my discontinued Miserocchi driving shoes. They look untouched from 2013. But this cat does this with all his sneakers.
