You can only use cedar shoe trees on leather sneakers. If the inside of your shoes are fabric the cedar will stain the inside of your shoes. Worth noting.

have you had any issues with the black aluminum color over time? like scratches revealing silver underneath, or fading and such? i’ve often heard ppl say there are these issues with black aluminum, but i also find it a very pretty color, so i want to ask.

I traveled over a million miles with Rimowa and Tumi. I also used Samonite sometimes which lasts at least 250k miles. I have had wheels broken off and banged up pretty hard (to the point of not moving or not able to go in a straight line. I had screws fallen off. So, you may need repairs. Just keep in mind that you are buying this for flying, not for saving it in mint condition in your home. If you do not want to see your expensive suitcase scratched up, then do not buy one. Get a less expensive one like Samsonite.

This Submariner looks too big for you. If you really like the model, I would go for the slightly smaller earlier versions without the Maxi case. Honestly I would also go with a thinner watch, maybe a Patek or one of the new Rolexes on a leather strap.

Quality matters but be careful , a luxury brands name quality does not necessarily equate to high quality. More often than not, you are paying for overhead and prestige of name rather than quality.

My Goodfellow man, thanks for the attempt, but there is a fail on behalf of explaining the purpose for the different types of shoe trees that go in different types of footwear. For example, the shoe tree that has the extended spring on the rear are probably designed for loafers as they don’t put stress on the sides of the loafer shoe, where as the double strut shoe tree is likely designed for a gunboat blutcher, a single strut shoe tree that is either hinged or strutted, but raised with an arch at the foot area or more for ox squirts
