We're excited to announce that The WatchMojo Game (wmojo.com/game) is here and available now on Amazon! Canada and UK now in stock! wmojo.com/game_canada wmojo.com/game_uk
I wish that they hadn't skipped over most of Anne's story in Season 3, namely everything to do with her marriage, the aforementioned attempted kidnapping, and her Olympic participation. If they could devote an entire story to Philip and the Moon Landing, then they could have easily written a storyline for Anne.
I'd have liked to see Erin Doherty (Princess Anne) she was always able to portray Princess Anne's no nonses attitude really well. So seeing her give life to that event in Princess Anne's history would have been really interesting.
They have tunnel vision on the Crown, though😌😌 - this show's Producers - & it's pretty much all complete fiction now, altogether. Complete Fiction (& should⚠️ say so⚠️) 0.1% fact - & the rest is utter twaddle🤭🤭 - & unfortunately, they obvs hv no understanding of the RF🙄🙄 or how it all works - this TV show REALLY is "As Hollywood - & maybe some 🇺🇸cans - "imagine the RF/Royal Life to be" ⚠️⚠️- i e NOTHING like, nothing whatsoever!🤭🤭🙏🇬🇧🌏💜 (& note, what it says on Wikipedia about Princess Diana - who DID NOT hv affairs with loads of ppl, is disgusting 🙈🙈 - she only was ever - with King Charles, then James Hewitt (only bc HRH Charles insisted the marriage was over - but there could be No Divorce, & insisted she "Find somebody else🙈🙈) - then much later she was with, A Khan - but Prcs Diana was a v old fashioned British girl - & kept herself very tidy, as she herself said re this delicate matter. They portray her as some kind of loose woman/flooozie on YT & in The Crown though - & that is NOT⚠️the case - ⁷it's all beyond a joke⚠️ espc when she's not⚠️here to defend herself⚠️Those gossipy books are a load of rubbish⚠️ basically that's for sure - yet like this (rubbish) - ppl take them as "facts"😔😔 (& HRH Charles WAS in love with her for years! - Until a while after H was born, when Prcs D had PND) - you wonder what some ppl are typing on YT etc, re HRH C & D; bc they cannot rewrite History🎉🎉) This Netflix Series though; - does NOT try to show anything, but hugely scandalous, utter tosh⚠️ It should have a HUGE disclaimer⚠️saying "Complete FICTION⚠️ - based on a tiny smidgen⚠️ of real events.⚠️ That would be more like it.🤗💜🙏🇬🇧
Princess Anne's story line could have been so much richer. They had a talented actress who captured princess Anne's persona and they under used her. The kidnapping was an important story and princess Anne's demeanour during the attempt was classic. Leaving it out was a lost opportunity to engage the audience even more. They had an actress who could have handled it superbly.
My problem with the season was it didn't have focus. The plot jumped from one thing to another. There was no main plot driving the entire season like in the previous ones. It was like a Tiktok compilation of unrelated events.
There were so much potential with Season 5. Even though I liked it, it felt very underwhelming and weak in terms of story in comparison to the other seasons.
The craziest stories tend to have a lot of intrigue attached to them. Seems like they're gradually capturing the attention of many people around the world.
A missed opportunity for the producers of the crown. Princess Anne is a spitfire and watching her verbally castrate those would be kidnappers would have been epic. They had the perfect actress for the part. Why they didn't take advantage of her, I'll never know. The entire production was expertly cast.
It would’ve been nice to see more of the drama between Charles and Diana played out but then again since the show is mostly about Elizabeth II and her reign it needed to bring the focus on her. Having too much of the drama between Charles and Diana would’ve been oversaturated since there was too much of it in real life. But i did wish they should’ve shown the confrontation between Diana and Camilla
I wish they had included the bombing in Lockerbie. I’d think the worst terrorist attack on British soil warrants at least a mention. Regarding Season 6, here’s what I’d like to see: Sophie and Edward The Golden Jubilee Farewell to Margaret and the Queen Mum When William met Kate
I'd like a show about The Princess Royal. Anne is intriguing! How many sugary, melodramatic stories do we need? How about a story that chronicles the mysterious and often muted icon we see today?
I definitely think more of the Princess Royal should have been done. Also more of the defining moments that happened in the UK would have been especially interesting to see. I don't think we need to see so much of Charles and Diana as we all know the story inside out because of all the documentaries and books. Yes, of course, show some, but that didn't define the Crown.
They glossed over a lot about Princess Anne. And once Diana appeared on the scene they really pushed the poor sainted Princess of Wales and overlooked that she was far from perfect. They made the now King Charles more of a villain, to the point that they had to have a written afterword at the end of one of the episodes, pointing out about the Prince's Trust and that Charles wasn't a complete bad guy.
Diana was no saint but compared to Charles or all politicians she was far better. With that in mind, the show that humanizes Charles perhaps even more than he deserves.
I really wished they included Taj Mahal scene …. It was so poetic, her sitting alone contemplating about marriage in front of a monument dedicated for love … The bench where she took that photo became so famous that even to this day it’s called “Diana Bench”
I'm okay with them cutting out a lot of the drama of Charles and Diana's marriage. They showed enough that we got the point. I actually am bothered that there was so LITTLE of when they were actually happy. And there were happy times. Diana said in interviews that the happiest time in their marriage was around when Harry was conceived, and they totally skipped over that. Actually, that's what bothers me about the whole show. It makes such a big deal about how miserable everyone in the royal family is. The prank phone call might have been a funny moment to add some much-needed levity to the show. I do think it was weird that they left out so much of Anne's life. She was single and carefree and then all of the sudden unhappily married with children. I was like, when did that happen? If they didn't want to spend time on it, they could have done a little montage like they did for the early days of Phillip and Elizabeth's marriage before she became queen. They only included what little they did about Anne's marriages as a juxtaposition with the Wales' marriage and with Margaret's heartbreak. And I think the reason they cut out the IRA stuff is because, with the exception of the included assassination of Lord Mountbatten, it didn't directly affect the Royal family.
Well those stories would have been far more interesting than some things on the show. Charles and Diana grew tiresome. Not depicting that hotel explosion was certainly a miss, people died they should be mentioned.
I am surprised at how many events major events werer either ignored or brushed over. The bombing of the brighton hotel, the kidnap attempt, the attempts on the Queen's life all of which should have been given air time as they are not small things in the history of her reign. I did like how they covered the history of assasination of the Russian royal family. I think there could have been a little more time given to the impact it had not only on Queen Mary but also the Queen after all visiting a country where it's people wiped out an entire part of your blood line must have been difficult.
Diana also STALKED one of her married affair partners after he broke up with her, making hundreds of calls to his home, sometimes while parked outside his house to see the lights go on. And then there was the time she shoved her stepmother down the stairs.
It was about the main royal family. That's why we have exclusive episodes for Prince Philip, the Queen Mom, Princess Margaret, Charles, amoung others. There's no reason to have a whole episode about Philip and the moon landing and not one episode about princess Anne.
I so wanted to see number 1 and still can't figure out why they didn't go with it. The actress is a scene stealer and I think she would have killed it. I love the Crown but they messed up on this one!
the South Korean tour and subsequent events thereafter is the main reason why the Korean GP dislike both Charles & Camilla, even now that they are King & Queen (this was especially evident on the Korean interwebs on the day of QE2's death, calling both of them cheaters and adulterers)
What about when Prince Philip shot and killed a tiger in 1961? Or when the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visit England for the Queen Mary plaque unveiling?
I never understood the weird obsession with making Diana a sex symbol. She was pretty and seemed like a wonderful person, but Kate Middleton is an absolute smoke-show in comparison.
Love your lists! Maybe on future ones your could consider " wild" stories instead of "crazy" ones? The changing narrative on mental illness in our society is so beneficial, for everyone. ☺
The assassination of Lord Mountbatten was completely unnecessary and immoral - Louis was an old man and they also murdered his innocent grandson and boatboy.
That’s wrong, she died with Dodi Al-Fayed in Paris. And, in the series, in the last episode Diana was with Dodi’s father at London, that was a reference that the paparazzi they were more crazy about Diana and they were responsable about her dead
I hope governments in all countries to unite bridge pillars as high as one or two meters so that if a car hits a bridge support it can still slide not as badly as a car hits a bridge pillar so that an accident hitting pillar like what happened to princess Diana does not happen again sorry and thank you
Charles always wants to utter the word modern. Why does he not abdicate like the modern crowed is asking is baffling . @@user-PuppyDan Me too, and I think Erin Doherty is the one out of all the casts that most resembles her real-life counterpart
I agree

"Not bloody likely!" Anne is AWESOME!
I've always admired Anne for that!
My problem with the season was it didn't have focus. The plot jumped from one thing to another. There was no main plot driving the entire season like in the previous ones. It was like a Tiktok compilation of unrelated events.

I really cant believe that they didnt include the attempted kidnapping of Anne in the show 😕
A missed opportunity for the producers of the crown. Princess Anne is a spitfire and watching her verbally castrate those would be kidnappers would have been epic. Agree! The exchange between those 2 women would have been television gold.
The number 1 spot is definitely something I'm still upset about they did not include.

When William met Kate

They really did a disservice by excluding the storyline of Princess Anne's attempted kidnapping.

Did we watch the same show? It was a puff piece for Charles. I wanted to vomit seeing how selfless they're trying to portray him.
Diana was no saint but compared to Charles or all politicians she was far better. With that in mind, the show that humanizes Charles perhaps even more than he deserves.
I wish Netflix would just make a show base of Diana's life
I really wished they included Taj Mahal scene …. It was so poetic, her sitting alone contemplating about marriage in front of a monument dedicated for love … The bench where she took that photo became so famous that even to this day it’s called “Diana Bench”

Lol
Riding instructor indeed!

Let's wait and see season 6. Hold your horses. They always have flashbacks too.
Just think someday, there might be a show and or movie like the crown about the lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan.
Season 5 left so much out 😢
Honestly I have no clue why there wasn't a scene with Diana and Camila in season 5.
Princess Anne was one brave lady. Her Royal Highness would’ve given her would be kidnappers hell in captivity.
I would have LOVED to see Diana's confrontation with Camilla!
Yes!

Do we know if the royals had any say in what the show portrayed? I’m thinking that might have been the case for why some of these things weren’t shown
Diana also STALKED one of her married affair partners after he broke up with her, making hundreds of calls to his home, sometimes while parked outside his house to see the lights go on.
And then there was the time she shoved her stepmother down the stairs.
The Crown is based about the Queen, not about Diana or Anne, that was the original point about do the series.
It was about the main royal family. That's why we have exclusive episodes for Prince Philip, the Queen Mom, Princess Margaret, Charles, amoung others. There's no reason to have a whole episode about Philip and the moon landing and not one episode about princess Anne.
I Want Australia's 1999 Republic Referendum Discussed in Season 6
that would be cool. I remember that.
Too much Diana in this list, she's the reason many other storylines aren't depicted
people care way too much more about Diana than anyone else
I so wanted to see number 1 and still can't figure out why they didn't go with it. The actress is a scene stealer and I think she would have killed it. I love the Crown but they messed up on this one!
Go blue!!!!!!!!
After watching this I can't help but think, what is the point of watching the show if they are missing so much.
Love your videos!!
Thanks so much!
Season 5 was weak and only concentrated on Charles and Di. Jumped the shark.
I mean they were the stars of the soap opera. Queen and the others were merely supporting players
the South Korean tour and subsequent events thereafter is the main reason why the Korean GP dislike both Charles & Camilla, even now that they are King & Queen
(this was especially evident on the Korean interwebs on the day of QE2's death, calling both of them cheaters and adulterers)
I know, not very british or royal but: I was hoping to see the impact of the Chernobyl disaster.
What about when Prince Philip shot and killed a tiger in 1961? Or when the Duke and Duchess of Windsor visit England for the Queen Mary plaque unveiling?
*A missed opportunity not showing Princess Anne's attempted kidnapping and how she handled herself*
*I thought that you were drunk* :D
The Callaghan premiership is cut out. S3 ended with Harold Wilson but S4 started with Margaret Thatcher
I never understood the weird obsession with making Diana a sex symbol. She was pretty and seemed like a wonderful person, but Kate Middleton is an absolute smoke-show in comparison.
Me either. I thought Camila was a lot prettier when she was younger. Diana actually got prettier as she aged I thought.
It's because Di had the opportunity to use sexy and sensual clothes in public, because she stepped out of the RF. Kate didn't
9:42 andddddd there was no caller ID for this conversation…why?
I really want to see the kidnapping scene, how bad ass the princess is.
Love your lists! Maybe on future ones your could consider " wild" stories instead of "crazy" ones? The changing narrative on mental illness in our society is so beneficial, for everyone. ☺
Profumo? Did I miss something?
They did an entire episode on Profumo.
@@bethanyhait6880 OH, I guess I missed that.
The assassination of Lord Mountbatten was completely unnecessary and immoral - Louis was an old man and they also murdered his innocent grandson and boatboy.
Mountbatten was a child molester.
Season 6 is going to start off with Diana's death. Season 5 ended with her packing for that trip
That’s wrong, she died with Dodi Al-Fayed in Paris. And, in the series, in the last episode Diana was with Dodi’s father at London, that was a reference that the paparazzi they were more crazy about Diana and they were responsable about her dead
I'm so annoyed by the excuse about not mentioning Jimmy Saville
I wanna see Diana’s Mercedes smash against the 13th pillar in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in season 6
Woah
