Even you test it is just so clear… of course you need separate ear protection (I had flight line earplugs in), but still!!
The jabra 55 I think did the best, but the shoks did really good too. I have the older Jabra evolve2 65, which has a similar shape and style to the new 55. I wonder if it performs as well as the 55 performed. I would’ve loved to see how well the evolve2 85 performed, that’s probably my favorite comfort wise besides the shokz, of course.

I’ll see what I can do from here. In my opinion, the ANC is better on the Evolve2 65 however the Evolve2 55 mic performed better in this real world demo.
Thanks for sharing! The Shokz Opencomm 2 UC has become my go-to when driving and I have passengers. This allows me to hear the phone/meeting conversation, while still leaving my ears open to hear my surroundings. The answer is, there is no canceling of the noise in your ears while using the Opencomm2. Shokz recommends you wear ear plugs if you need to block/suppress background noise. Some clients use earbuds with ANC. I hope this helps.

What's up, Gustavo! Based on my 25+ years in this industry and testing countless headsets. To this day, the closer the mic is to your mouth, the better. The Evolve2 55 has a longer mic boom that can be positioned two finger widths from the tip of your mouth vs the Evolve2 65 Flex that sits further from your mouth. Both the Jabra Evolve2 55 and the EPOS Impact 1060T are excellent headsets, and it's easy to see why you’re having a tough time choosing between them! The Evolve2 55 is lightweight and very comfortable with ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) speakers. Like the EPOS Impact 1060T, it’s also certified for Microsoft Teams, which can be a plus if you use Teams regularly. Plus, Jabra’s sound quality for calls and music is consistently solid. On the other hand, the EPOS Impact 1060T offers impressive microphone quality, especially in noisy environments. EPOS is known for its focus on audio clarity, so if call quality is your top priority, the 1060T won’t disappoint. It also has a sleek design and is comfortable for long wear. If comfort is a main focus, the Evolve2 55 could be the way to go. However, if you prioritize crystal-clear voice quality and want something versatile for different types of calls, the Impact 1060T is an excellent choice. Ultimately, both are great headsets, so you can't go wrong. Happy shopping!
Hi James, in this particular video, I demoed UC Bluetooth headsets that include a USB Bluetooth dongle, except for the Apple AirPods Pro that I paired directly via Bluetooth. Poly has recently announced Bluetooth Direct, which is a feature that will allow select Poly Voyager Bluetooth headsets to pair directly with select HP laptops running Zoom without a dongle. Logitech recently announced their Zone 305 with more models to follow, that will connect via native Bluetooth with any supporting laptops running Microsoft Teams. We're getting closer to having headsets that no longer require a dongle!
@@CallOneInc Thanks Danny, the reason for my enquiry is I'm trying to find alternatives to the EPOS Impact 1000. This particular headset seems to have the best microphone quality (when using their included dongle) and it seems to have similar bandwidth to using a wired connection. (Super wideband voice) Almost everything else sounds like it has and 8 khz sample rate in wireless mode.
Hello, I wanted to ask which headset would you recommend if money doesn’t matter. I work in a loud call center environment and sometimes I have to work in a loud cafe shop as well; which gets extremely loud. Do you recommend the Epos Impact 1061 TC anc or the Evolve2 Headset Jabra 55 or another headset? My main concerns are that the headset doesn’t pick up any background noises on the microphone and that I am able to hear the client clearly. Second (not as important as the other concern) is comfort for wearing it all day. Thanks @calloneinc!
Hi Sujin! Thank you for contacting us and supporting our channel! What will you be connecting/pairing the headset to? What calling platform/s are you using? No headset blocks 100% of noise however, based on recent tests with Microsoft Teams Voice Isolation and Zoom Personalized audio isolation, the performance is getting pretty good.
Thank you for the quick response. I will be mostly using the headset utilizing Zendesk integration for calls. Therefore, it doesn’t have any noise cancellation built into their system which is why I’m shopping for a great headset for noise reduction. Also I will be pairing my headset mostly into a Macbook laptop with a USB-C and audio jack. If needed, I can utilize a USB-B adapter, however would prefer USB-C headset if it has capability or Bluetooth. Thanks again
@@Sujin-h2k the EPOS Impact 1000 Series (wireless), 800 Series (corded) and 700 Series (corded) have the best noise canceling mics I have tested. As good as they are, they do not block 100% of background noise. A nice feature of the corded Impact 800 & 700 series is they include USB-C and USB-A in the box. The EPOS Impact 1000 includes a USB-A Bluetooth dongle. There is an option to buy an EPOS BTD 800 USB-C dongle separately. Comfort is subjective but based on my tests and customer feedback, the Jabra Evolve2 50 Series (corded), Evolve2 55 (wireless) and Evolve2 65 Flex are much more comfortable for all day wear. The Yealink WH64 and BH70 are also very comfortable for all day wear and have pretty solid noise canceling mics but no ANC (Active Noise Cancelling speakers). The Impact 1000 tends to get heavy after a couple hours.
@Sujin-h2k they are the same. There are multiple models in the Impact 1000 Series with the 1061T ANC being one of them. This blog I wrote includes all the EPOS Impact 1000 Series models: calloneinc.com/discovering-the-epos-impact-1000-series-the-best-noise-canceling-mic-in-business-headsets/
Also do you know if the EPOS impact 1000 series or Jabra evolve2 55 have a mute option on the microphone? I would like the functionality of muting myself on a call if needed as Zendesk doesnt always work on muting.
Hi, Danny. If money were no object and you could consider anything up to about $500, what what be your 'hands down' choice ? Also, why no reviews of standard over-ear headphones, such as Bose 700 or Sony XM5, which can work with calls ? Not realistic choices over long hours ? I'm new to all this.

Price is secondary as long as they will last years (wired?) Above all though, comfort and a mic with some resonance. Does this help?
@@Me_ThatsWho, thanks for sharing. Yes, it does, but it also makes it challenging to identify a single headset that checks all those boxes. The best noise-canceling mic I've tested is the EPOS Impact 1000 Series th-cam.com/video/YaPuE5yDXyU/w-d-xo.html However when it comes to comfort, these are currently the most comfortable headsets I've tested: Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex, Jabra Evolve2 55 (available in mono or dual ear), Poly Voyager Focus 2, NEW Yealink BH70 and Shokz Opencomm2 UC. All these headsets also have solid-performing NC mics. No headset I've tested blocks out barking dogs or crying babies when used with mobile devices. I haven't tested that specific model in this environment as it's not practical for people to disconnect the Engage base and transport to a coffee shop. The headsets I tested are portable and designed for hybrid work/work from anywhere. The Engage 75 is not designed for portability but instead to remain at the workstation physically connected to an AC outlet and EHS cable and/or USB cable to desk phone and computer.
Thanks for watching! Yes, I tested those headphones when they were first released however I tend to focus on professional grade audio and video solutions certified for Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, WebEx and other leading platforms and UC applications used by mid to large enterprise customers. To answer your question though, it depends on your individual use case. What may be good for my work environments, working style and preferences may not align with yours. What’s your use case? What are you connecting headset to? What voice, video and UC platforms do you use? What environments do you work in? Home office, open office, coffee shop, other? How noisy are your environments? What are your wearing style preferences? The more detailed information you can provide, the better I can help.
Thank you. Use case: a doctor who does telehealth video calls via a zoom-like platform using an android smartphone. The environment is noisy (home with barking dogs, human voices, leaf blowers nearby). The doctor will have to wear these hours at a time.
Seeking comfortable (feels like BUTTER), sleek looking, noise cancelling beast with a mic that adds depth and resonance to my voice. .
On-ear or open-ear preferred so they feel imperceptible.
Price is secondary as long as they will last years (wired?)
Above all though, comfort and a mic with some resonance.
Does this help?
@@Me_ThatsWho, thanks for sharing. Yes, it does, but it also makes it challenging to identify a single headset that checks all those boxes. The best noise-canceling mic I've tested is the EPOS Impact 1000 Series
th-cam.com/video/YaPuE5yDXyU/w-d-xo.html However when it comes to comfort, these are currently the most comfortable headsets I've tested: Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex, Jabra Evolve2 55 (available in mono or dual ear), Poly Voyager Focus 2, NEW Yealink BH70 and Shokz Opencomm2 UC. All these headsets also have solid-performing NC mics. No headset I've tested blocks out barking dogs or crying babies when used with mobile devices. If used via a computer, Zoom with Personalized audio isolation does a great job of almost blocking all other sounds besides your voice when used with a good headset.
@@CallOneInc Much appreciated and generous feedback, Danny. Do you think it's necessary to buy a dedicated headset for videoconferencing ? In other words, is there an outstanding headset that can achieve both great video-conferencing and really good music too?
Ok I’ve watched a lot of your videos in my quest to find a non-over the head earbud/headset that will block people on the other end from hearing baby crying (I’m a new parent)…….is this what we are hearing when you say “this is what it would sound like”??
Are we hearing what you would hear or the person on the other end.
Great question! The audio samples in these videos are what the person on the other end of the call would be hearing. Let me know if you'd like to hear any specific headset models!
Are there any wired options of these headsets, as wired is what I’m required to use.

th-cam.com/video/B9XqgZqv330/w-d-xo.html
how does some of the older fx jabra engage 75, Sennheiser MB2 (whatever its called from EPOS now) compare?
Are you referring to the DECT Jabra Engage 75 that connects to desk phones, computer and mobile? I haven't tested that specific model in this environment as it's not practical for people to disconnect the Engage base and transport to a coffee shop. The headsets I tested are portable and designed for hybrid work/work from anywhere. The Engage 75 is not designed for portability but instead to remain at the workstation physically connected to an AC outlet and EHS cable and/or USB cable to desk phone and computer. I believe I gave away my older Sennheiser MB 660 however, the performance should be similar to new EPOS Adapt 660.
@@CallOneInc I think its mainly the weight of the two. Both below 100g, which is important as I work many hours on calls or phone calls.
Was able to connect to both computer and through dock on the engage 75 and on the mb2 through bluetooth and usb dongle
Are these still the most recent releases or?
Do you recommend the Jabra Evolve2 55 or the EPOS Impact 1061 in terms of comfort for 8 hour days?
Hi Karen, thanks for watching and supporting our channel! Based on my preferences, the Jabra Evolve2 55 is more comfortable for extended wear compared to the EPOS Impact 1061. It's lighter and uses Jabra AirComfort Technology. Please let me know if you have more questions! Contact us directly for pricing or to order if you are in the United States!

Any idea why the evolve 2 55 performed better then the 65?
Yes, longer boom mic arm. The closer the mic is to your mouth, typically the better noise canceling performance you receive.
@@CallOneInc so if you were to choose overall, if you needed something for work that requires to be on different places (coffee shop, public places) w/ good noise cancelling earphones and mic, good battery - evolve 2 55 or evolve 2 65 flex?
@@musirakgi0013 I carry the Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex due to its portability. When folded it’s a smaller form factor that fits easily in my backpack. Plus it’s super comfortable. The Evolve2 65 Flex speakers use hybrid ANC vs Evolve2 55 with standard ANC. Here’s a blog explaining the difference: www.jabra.com/blog/anc-headsets-arent-all-the-same-three-types-of-anc/
The Evolve2 65 Flex has a decent NC mic however, based on my tests, the Evolve2 performs better. The Evolve2 55 is also very comfortable as both incorporate Jabra AirComfort technology. Here’s a blog I wrote that includes an overview of AirComfort tech: calloneinc.com/jabra-evolve2-65-vs-evolve2-65-flex-which-is-right-for-you/

To my ears, in this environment, Jabra Evolve2 55 and EPOS 1000 sounded the best (in this order)
Thank you so much for sharing your input, Martin! What headsets have you used? What key features do you need in a headset for your use case?
@@CallOneInc I was referring to your video here. That being said, just ordered EPOS 1000
Keep us posted on your experience!
Looks like the EPOS IMPACT 1061T is winning
The EPOS Impact 10601T has one of the best performing noise canceling mics.
Thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching and supporting our channel!
Jabra 55 smash it! :)
Hey Maikeru! I was surprised how well the Jabra Evolve2 55 performed in this environment. It was LOUD!
Actually, the Jabra evolve2 buds performed really well. Thank you for the review
Thanks for watching, Nabokovcoffee! And yes, the Jabra Evolve2 Buds performed better than expected and certainly better than Apple Airpods Pro, (in my opinion).
@CallOneInc i own the evolve2 buds and wanted to get Airpod pro 2 gen however the more I use them and get zero complaints on teams and phone calls and after your harsh testing condition super loud environment, I am happy I made the right choice.
And yes! UC and meeting platforms and applications like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and WebEx have an added layer of noise suppression that improves transmit audio performance. For this test I did not use any additional noise suppression, solely the built headset mic noise canceling technology. Appreciate you sharing!
As expected, AirPods sounded the worst for the listeners, great for the users. I like the sound from EPOS personally.
Thanks for your feedback, Graham! The EPOS Impact 1000 Series have been solid performers in multiple challenging environments!
Yealink BH71
Thanks for watching and sharing your feedback, E Del Rosario! The Yealink BH71 performed well in this environment!
very cool, this is the another yelink model i opted for
Appreciate you watching and sharing your input!
Evolve2 55 is the best in your demo
