Its almost criminal that this song didn't make it to Alan Wake's sountrack, I feel it could fit perfectly.

Been a fan of POTF since I listened Late Goodbye for the first time on Max Payne 2, and it only seems to get better each year, and when they made Old Gods of Asgard, my head almost literally exploded

Surely Poets could be more famous, but if they did, their music would probably change for worse to please the masses. I'm content they're faithful to their own, great style.
not unless their style is what addicts the masses first! IMO, they should forget about the profit guarantee, it just makes a mess of everything! the purpose of buying music is to enjoy it.

@@sarahmalouf7567 I like kpop and to see these kids just stream to get views and not even care if the song is good just ugh 😩 I prefer quality over quantity any day. I got into POTF back in 2013. My late son had played Carnival of Rust and I and his sisters loved it. 5/11/13 my son would pass away from complications from being a T1D. While on YT Carnival of Rust was in my suggested videos so I watched that one then I watched War and Sleep let’s just say I got hooked. I will always say quantity over quantity any day. That is why my youngest daughter and my favorite kpop group is very underrated but we love them. P.S. she thinks Ollie is cute 🥰

I love this "sense of cold" in the video, it fits perfectly. When you miss someone so much that wherever you are you dream of that person being there with you: when you're walking, when you're at home.. dreams and reality mix and it can almost feel real.. but then you "wake up" and realize you're alone.
The storyline was a nice surprise, while the fact that the rest of the band is missing feels really weird to me.
Anyway: love it, this vid/song means so much to me for the feelings in it
I never knew about Poets of the Fall till 5 years ago when I heard their song Lift on a TH-cam Video. Today I know almost everyone of there songs. Although their not recognize by many, there songs have moral. Moral is what songs of today's generation is seriously lacking.
I heard lift back in 2009 on VH1.. was introduced to this band then.. have been a fan since.. :)

I'm so glad i played Alan Wake all those years ago and the game's soundtrack features a lot of POTF so i looked them up and fell in love instantly. Amazing band wish i could see them in Nov but i'm on holiday then Q_Q

Only found out about this band couple of weeks ago. How did I not know about them. False Kings is a fantastic piece of work. What a delight it’s been discovering more of their work. Fantastic band. Brilliant singer. Epic songs

"It's a video about reacting to loss, about a man living on the border of reality, not always sure what's real and what he's imagining. He has never gotten over the loss of his love and replays the moment of her death in his head over and over. It's very suggestive and can be interpreted in many ways so it's not necessary to try and find the "real story" behind it."

That is exactly why they did it. They want to keep complete control over their music. To them, their music and art is more important than being famous. It's one reason I respect them so much, their beautiful music is another. They will always hold a place in my mind and my heart. For their music resonates within me just as much as their morals toward their art does.
I used to listen this song during my service. it always refreshed me and gave me an inspiration... it just made me to be able to endure such sharp disputes between our ships and north korean navy...

I really like this video! It has so miserable and grave feeling. The contrast between a whiteness of the nature and that feeling is impressive. And In the end that red, warm flower tells me about hope,a new start or something like that...simply beaituful!
Just so you know, it's not just young people who enjoy this stuff. I love this band and I'm 60 years old ! Good music has no age restriction and growing old means nothing to great tunes and I LOVE this tune!

Poets are an indie band, so they fund all their albums and videos themselves. They hire professional directors to work with them on their music videos, and since they don't have a record label footing the bill, that means they pay for that cost out of pocket. They also don't have the kind of PR and marketing a record label can provide, which is one reason they're not more widely known.
