arch enemy did that thing so many bands do, where their first few albums are really good, then they get better and more popular so they decide to do more "mainstream" friendly muzak. anyone new to Arch Enemy needs to check out albums stigmata with 1st singer, or wages of sin with their awesome (female death metal) 2nd singer.
I think that it's your opinion. I loved albums with Angela Gossow, especially Wages of Sin. I didn't loved very much albums with Johan Livaa. And I found War Eternal, Deceivers, and Will To Power exceptionnal, especially War Eternal. The fact that they use clean vocals is the sign that their music us constantly evolving. They don't make exactly the same as they did 20 years ago and that's why it is interesting. But if you prefer their firsts albums, it's totally legit 😄
