My first “gun” was a Gamo shooting RWS .22 Pellets. I’ve had everything from a .177 CO2 Sig MXC, to a Barrett M99A1 .50BMG since. Got back to airgunning due to pandemic craziness. 🇺🇸
I have two Urbans and I love them. I am tuned for right at 26 fpe with the JSB 18.13 pellets. Very accurate. I also have two custom Marauders and a Seneca but it is the Urbans I usually reach for when I go pesting or plinking.
I don't have an urban...yet... But i do have a swarm whisper .22 .. I started out with the crosman 14.3 ,went through them kinda quick,and had a tin of the JSB 18.13 that has a bunch of damaged skirts and it still was very accurate out to 30yds... For entry level guns,Gamo makes a great product
Haven't tried Gamo yet. I agree with the CR Premier. Those work fine 95% of the time. Occasionally you get one that's loose. I've been zippity-zappering on my Airforce. 25/18" Talon on Seneca 43gr. Hawke scope. On a ranch. Same deal. Nonstop varmints. Berries are coming too. Good shooting.
My gamo urban 22 is awesome I adjusted my gun with a 4 mm Allen 1 and half turns getting 26. 27 fpe with 15.89 around 879 fps I think and around 30 solid shots great video Ben ..
Great video Ben, I love the Gamo Urban and think it has an awesome form factor. My 4 improvements for the Gamo Urban to the Gamo Urban II. 1) Gamo should shroud and baffle the barrel maintaining the same overall length. 2) Give it a true adjustable two tage trigger. 3) Huma Reg. mod including the hammer spring, transfer port and improve the reservoir for MORE SHOTS. 4) adjustable cheek comb available on European model. With all the great $300 and under air rifles from Beeman, Benjamin, Hatsan, Umarex, and Air Ventari/ATI, Gamo's Urban has to step up it's game to be worth it's $399 MSRP.
@@ShootingGearReviews Yes I get it. The Urban looks and performs equal to the $219 Commander with a plastic stock. The $299 Fortitude and Avenger have more shots, shrouded barrels and are regulated.
It's got a beautiful 4 mm Allen wrench hole in the back to adjust the hammer spring clockwise for more power and counter clockwise for decrease the power have a great day
I have had my Urban since they first came out. No problems what so ever and pin-point accurate. Slightly louder than I would like. Looking at a Coyote Whisper in .177 now.
I love my gamo urban ,shooting the exact same pellets and getting the same results,bought a sightmark wraith and have thined down the rats around my property
My Urban22 isn't pellet picky! Shoots everything tight! You should try the H&N Terminators, they pop pest birds out to 50yds! Thanks For the video, love my Urban22!
I have 2 .25 cals and a benjamin bulldog. Ordered the urban because everything else i have is too noisy. Fingers crossed the reviews are right that this is quiet. Would love to plink whenever and not bother anyone else.
Loving my Urban. Getting a solid 4 mags with 16 grain JSB’s. Also use the 18’s and a great unknown pellet the Crosman 19’s.. they hit HARd. Im debating adjusting the spring a bit.. not a lot. Just enough for 3 mags.
Debating getting one of these for hunting squirrels in NJ. Only thing is I would have to hack off the suppressor because of stupid NJ laws. But I saw a guy do it on the forums with clean looking results and I have access to a full machine shop.
@@matthewcohen1553 triggers ok .. actually its better with the Buck rail conversion. Stock, set too light it would go off with a bump. Too light and the safety would not work. The Buck Rail conversion, I suspect was formed with tighter tolerances. When first installed it went from a 1 lbs trigger to over 3 lbs. after re adjustment i can get it around 14 oz without it bump firing.
@@matthewcohen1553 thought that was the purpose of the non removable moderator.. for legality reasons? What if you removed the baffles ? Easy to do with only 2 push pins.
@@Jeeper1378 Our fish and game department has unfortunately made it clear that any airgun with an integral silencer/suppressor is illegal. Easy to remove it completely instead of try to explain to a fish and game officer that you removed the baffles.
I have the coyote and the urban, the coyote is more powerful but they both give the same amount of shots, the coyote is much heavier. I use more the urban.
Thanks for this video Ben. I have owned a Gamo Urban for two years and it's everything you say it is. I shoot the JSB 18.13g pellets exclusively because they are just as accurate as you have shown. I love my Urban, it's my pesting tool. Would you mind sharing your Urban's fps and fpe using the JSB 18.13g pellets. I do not own a chrony, so I am interested in knowing what your Urban does. You say after the test target shoot that the range was 30 yards, however written at the bottom of the screen when you're shooting is '50 YARDS JSB 18.13'. So which is the true distance, 30 or 50 yards?
Hey is break barrel BX New York about the sling on the Gamo Urban you need to take the rifle out of its casing and you will see in front of the casing that it's all Halo there is nothing there and you could see where you need to drill in for your sling it's very easy once you take it out you will see you going to wish you been did it
Has anyone had issues with the tank filling? I've got a 3rd party adaptor for the piece they provided with the gun but I'm not getting any change in pressure using a bike pump or a small compressor. I've followed the instructions as best I can but I'm not sure if I've got a bad gun or I'm doing something wrong
@@AirGunWeb I've used a bike pump, gave it around 100 pumps, and a small compressor that I use to fill car tires. The gauge on the gun doesn't seem to move
@@luc_xott - I did not want to assume, but that's what I thought would be the issue. You need to use a special pump not a standard bike pump or normal shop compressor for car tires. Its light allright . But I hate Gamo Triggers . They are the worst. I like the Maurader even though a little longer inloke the trigger more. Yes its a BSA ALLRIGHT . I STILL THINK the Mrod is quieter.
I didn't like the trigger on my Gamo Urban at first either. It was light enough but had way too much creep in the 2nd stage. I exchanged the 8mm length adjustment screw for a 10mm length. Now the trigger is excellent. It's light and crisp with no more creep. It's comparable to the T06 trigger on my Diana 34.
Except it's not as compact.... The MOD is perm attached to the gun therefore it's PART OF THE GUN... Thats like saying a Cessna 172 is the same as a 747 if you don't count all the parts of it that make it bigger... I like you guys and watch your channel but using selling points that don't make any sense to get people to buy in to this clear Gamo ad is a little much... Let groups speak for them selves...

How do you charge the air cylinder?
I use Crosman premier pellets for almost all my shooting; a quality-low cost-accurate choice.

I've had an Urban for 2 year and it has worked extremely well. Next, I'd like to see an Urban in .25 with side level cocking.
Less powerful Gamo Arrow came out instead for June of 2022🤔.Perhaps there is something else in the making?

Those would be great improvements... too bad then it would be the same price as a BSA haha

Also, the noise may be because I almost always have shot .177 and this one being a .22 passes more air, of course, so maybe it's normal.

Pcp hand pump. 50-60 pumps will fill it up.

My gamo urban is about 3 years old and still working great..I have mine regulated by Huma.
What kind of scope are you using on that rifle.
I seen it in the description that’s a 700 dollar scope is there another scope that you would recommend for the urban I could try.
How fast do you have to push a 14.3 grain CHP before they will expand and do they corkscrew at that speed? Cool gun. That would be a nice truck gun.
CHPs are too hard to expand reliably. Look at H&N Barracuda Hunters.

put an regulator inside that Gun and it then will be shooting like a 1000$+ gun
