      Great video!! great riding and tons of info. Im thinking of getting the kenevo SL and having the new levo also! would sell a couple of bikes... How is it compared to the new levo? Did you get a chance to ride the Kenevo with a mullet? I already have an extra 27.5 wheel. they have only 1 kenevo in Mexico in my size and I have to decide this weekend. Please help me decide lol I want to have 2 bikes in general... but more used to full power emtb power but I think the SL will help push and increase my riding level.

    I appreciate your expertise Sam. After a year of watching your in depth videos and doing other research. I purchased a Kenevo SL at my local bike shop today with the black Friday savings. I think with my 160lb rider weight and decent physical fitness, I will be just fine with the motor/NM. The terrain I ride is long fire road up and steep and rocky off camber kinda terrain crap down at times so the Kenevo SL s2 is the personal choice for this little 5’7”Mexican. Thank you for all the hard work and god awful testing you get to do to share your experience with anyone interested :)

    New Intro, love that you made it shorter! But somehow I miss the speedy shots also the one with your buddy jumping and you speeding bye. But yeah the light was not optimal on these clips, but miss the dynamic feeling it had! Great video as always mate, really appreciate all your works. Hope to see you once in the Swiss Alps!

    If I was rich I would probably go for the Levo SL (once they update it with the mastermind) but currently I have a kitted out Carbon Stumjumper and a Commencal Meta Power SX Race so I kind of have the best of both worlds. Great video. You absolutely fly through those trails!!

      @@SamsBikes Yeah man it's great. I got to test over for a few days when it first came out. I was pretty tempted to buy one but I couldn't justify the price at the time. Yours looks awesome with your mods and the colour. Haha yeah the Commencal has 1300km on it since late February last year but the Stumpjumper still gets a good run too ;).
      Unfortunately I've had a few problems with the Commencal. The motor wouldn't turn on one day so they had to replace it under warranty, the top cap of the dropper post came loose and it sucked in a bunch of grit scratching the shaft and now just a few days ago the crank arm came loose and shredded the splines so it's in the shop waiting for a new crank. Hopefully it'll be covered under warranty but if it's not, at least it's not an expensive part. Just glad the crank didn't fall off while hitting a jump or drop.

    @samsbikes I’m a little curious why you chose to run the S4 KSL when you know you like the target reach on your LSL. I’ve also been on a LSL for the last year and have it setup similar. 160 front 210x55 X2 and cascade link for close to 160 rear. Medium, with a 45mm stem (We are One Da Package) for 445 reach. I got the S2 KSL to stick with that same reach number. Stock both bikes come in at 435 reach (Medium LSL, S2 KSL) and I’m 5’8”. The longer KSL made me choose to side down.

      @@SamsBikes I am so stoked to build up my KSL. Absolutely love the LSL and will keep it but that KSL just fits my riding style as a DH racer. Really enjoyed your video my friend and gave me some great insight on what to expect from the bike. Funny, I have sold a bunch of them but never got a chance to actually spin some cranks and actually ride it, I just knew when it dropped it was "the bike" for me. Funny, I called that bike back in early 2021 haha. Told our field rep "Hey you guys need to take the enduro and throw a SL motor in it, would be the ultimate bike". I am still waiting for me free bike for the idea hahahahaha!!

    • @mabizu
      @mabizu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I had an SL before and now on the Gen 3. Depends what you are after, they are quite different: SL is less powerful, but more playful. It just feels awesome on the tracks, like a regular fully. The lighter weight comes also in handy if you need to carry the bike at a steep or to rocky part of the incline. Additionally lifting it up to a roof rack on a car is way easier. On the other hand, if you are not the fittest in a group of people or the only one with a less powerful E Bike it quite sucks - you always will be the one keeping the group waiting. One more negative, on very steep and high mountains, you might always carry the extender batterie with you. The Gen 3 feels more refined, but also way heavier and planted to the ground - it‘s beast forgiving many mistakes. That said, you will always know that you are riding an E bike, it feels heavy and acts different then a regular bike without e-support. Long story short, if you are not riding in a group regularly and you are not in steep mountain terrain, I would go with the SL. But that said, I would go and try both at a dealer to get a feel for it, go with the SL first dow, else you will miss the juice to much!

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it really comes down to who your riding with... seeing most of my mates are on full fat ebikes I'm going to have to say the Gen 3 but If I was just riding on my Own I would grab the SL.

      Hey mate, I was doing this testing at the bike park I actually changed the seat post to a DH seat post so no dropper for the chair lifts! I'm guessing the same comparison could be made between the non-SL Levo and Kenevo? I'm eyeing up a new Turbo Levo Expert and after watching this, I think it should be ample bike (was wondering if I should be considering the Kenevo). I'm only 68kg so I'm thinking the 160mm/150mm suspension should be more than enough...

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me the Levo is a better bike more fun 🤩 the kenevo is a DH weapon which can dumb down the trails and make everything easy. 160-150 is enough I think for enduro / trail riding

    Great review Sam, look like the Levo SL really holds its own and against that monster :) As a trail rider 95% of the time, I'm pretty comfortable with my choice, but I also wonder if you wouldn't have been better off on the XL Levo SL considering your height. Also, really makes me want to get a 160 fork for my LSL. I think the 34 is basically fine for trail duty, but having that little extra squish and little extra length sure sounds appealing for enduro style riding.
