A very good tutorial that lets you interpolate how to use it related to other design items - many thanks.

Me I ask a question? It is a very very good tutorial. I tried to do an example but something it's going bad. For example in this case you have the family called "A" and a nested Family called "B" that contains Family "A". And also this family "B" is into a project. Supposing that family "A" have two "dimensions parameters": (Large and Width, for example).
In the project I select family "A", and click "Edit Type", And assign 150 mm to "Large" and 150 mm to "Width" parameters.
Then, I select family "B", and click "Edit Type" and then "Duplicate", and then "Rename" to create a new nested family and call it "B2". Now I have two nested families "B" and "B2". In both families, there is a family called "A" which dimensions are 150mm - 15mm.
I tried to select the family "A" that is into family "B2" and duplicate it in order to create a new family A with different dimensions but I couldn't. The "duplicate" button is disabled

You got family A to show up on the schedule, family B was shown as well. That would be a double count, wouldn't it? Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the video. Can you create material takeoff lists for example parts of a file cabinet. If I nested families of a file cabinet, how could I create a material takeoff list showing each part of the cabinet including the costs? Can you do a video showing this and how to input calculations for the costs and totals? Thank you!

Suppose that to each family B you add a Mark as B1, B2, B3, Is there a way to schedule how many family A belong to Family B1, B2 and B3? Of course, I could add a mark to each family A for example B1-A, B2-A. B-3, but the process is too manual and long. I am looking for a faster method.

is there any way way to move the individual items once theyre in the project. For example if i bring the the Family B in and i want to move just one of the squares. Can I do that without editing Family B?
