    Amazing series of tutorials from an amazing girl! I am new to Revit and i like to learn very good families and parameters! All the relevant tutorials of others make extensive use of reference planes but here you did not. Is it a different method, a simpler method or what else? Please advise!!!

    Hi, I am a beginner learner of Revit, so I have a modest question: When you create the family of Window, it's come with walls, so when you insert the family in the project model, the walls are not inserted with the window, why?

    • @ThatBIMGirl
      @ThatBIMGirl  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The wall in the family editor is just a sample wall, so you can see how the window will sit in the wall later on. Once you import it, it will only be the window, so you can place it in your project walls.
      But if you want to create a family that consists of a wall + window for whatever reason, you could do that as well. Just create your window family first. And then create another family from the generic template or something similar and then import your window family and draw your wall plus window.
      Hope this answers your question ,😁

    I try the DynoMap. It does not work in our area. But from Google Earth, I can see there are mapped 3d model available.
    How can I know which source DynoMap is pulling data from?
    Is there a way to specify which source I want to pull 3d data from?

    I would have liked a bit longer video where the windows are parametric.. all windows change, or something like fire/DB parameters done in an easy parametric way.. less work ;)

    Your title is misleading I expected much more. You did not explain some the most basic pts. Type vs Instance And you should have locked the mullion to the ctr line. Your knowledge of wds is not existent. How is the glass held in place?
