Well described...Thanks..one doubt please that how to decide to select the Type of parameter(text, are, slope or yes/No) base on what? & How to decide to select Group parameter under (data, dimension, layers or text) ? Please elaborate, thanks 🙏
Group Parameters Under is your wish. Parameters type has a limitation. For example the number parameter type will not allow text. Parameter type is important to understand.
Good

hi, then whats the point of using project parameter, as shared parameter does everything project parameter does but superior?
Example, A family is imported to revit project which has shared parameters. But the same parameters are not used in the current project. Then you have to add the same parameters once again in revit project using project parameters. Otherwise the shared parameters won't work. Because its available in the family but not available in the project.
Shared parameters use an txt file so it's easy to add to project parameters. So we don't have to define the parameter name and parameter type. It can be directly selected from the txt file. That's the reason we use shared parameters.
thank you so much.helps me alot
Happy to hear from you. Happy new year🎉🎊🎊
thanks ..good one
Glad you liked it
Good
Thank you🙏
In what cases Project parameters will be useful over Shared parameters?
Project parameters cannot be used with other projects or with other families Whereas shared parameters can be shared with other families and Other projects..
Project parameters doesn't need external text file to create, Whereas shared parameters need .txt file to create and share between projects/families.
Thanks for making such videos :)
