super souvenir!
à la même époque Nico avait fait la première partie d'un concert de Magma au théâtre du Chêne noir à Avignon.
une soirée inoubliable!
👍😎
This is a great post. Nico at her peak. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it; thanks for the comment.😎
Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful recording. This version of Purple Lips is priceless.
One of my absolute favorite songs.
Nico- the first time I saw that face, heard that voice- I knew I was in a zone I had always sought, without drugs or alcohol- Thank you for this rarity- I always feel "alienated" by family and friends where she's concerned- and I get annoyed by my overreacting-! I still get defensive! OK, so she's "not commercial"! To each her own, right? Namaste
You have exactly described by ongoing soul connection to her also. I hope I can make music one day that is as profound and unflinching.
Ma come mai questa artista che sicuramente avrà guadagnato soldi e diritti d autore e morta povera?
Hi, thanks for leaving a comment. I guess it comes down to « »The Cicada and The Ant" aka" The Ant and the The Grasshopper ». Artists often have a different approach to money than other people.
As they are not paid on a monthly basis when money comes it comes in bulk so they tend to party intensely whatever the cost.
Thanks a lot! I still have the LP desert shore... and saw hr live in Paradiso Amsterdam, fascinating but sad as well these days
🙏
This sounds fantastic. Also, thanks for the translation of what she said after "Secret Side."
.Thank you for leaving a comment🙂😎Here's a bit more translation :
Intro to « No One Is There » :Nico : ''I believed Marseille was an interesting city, with some sights to see ... but ...But I couldn't manage to see anything , so I'm drinking Coca Cola''
Smartass kid : ''We've got some lebanese stuff here''
Nico : really ?!
@@josephkolmansky8965 I know Nico loved North African and Middle Eastern culture so I'm not surprised she was interested. Thank you so much for this incredible recording!
merci, grand fan de NICO, je n'avais pas ce concert...
The concert in Arles with Kevin Ayers (as the sweet deceiver) is also part of my archive if you don't have it yet.
@@josephkolmansky8965 A real long shot here, but any chance you recorded Fripp & Eno in 1975 at either the Paris Olympia or in St-Etienne Municipal Hall?
@@microbunny Thanks for your kind comments, I didn't record Fripp & Eno, I did take pictures of one of the last King Crimson (Fripp/Wetton/Bruford) shows in March 74 though ; and I recorded Nico at the wreck of the old 75 Arles festival (featuring an odd duet with Kevin Ayers in both English&German on « Falling In Love Again »). Sorry🤔
@@josephkolmansky8965 Amazing! I work closely with members of Fripp’s label and would be very interested indeed to see these photos you took! That’s my favourite incarnation of the band as well. I’ve heard the Nico Ayers Arles concert, which was very interesting. I’m not sure if that’s your recording or someone else’s that’s floating around. Perhaps we should connect directly?
@@microbunny If you pm my fb page through messenger, I could send you a download link for the pix, not much to expect though, just souvenir photos.
Music too loud i cant hear her thats music should be more delikate to hear her voice
Sorry for the inconvenience ; I confined myself to recording the music as it was, i wasn't supposed to run the soundboard.
Quel document rare ! Mille mercis pour cette découverte
Avec plaisir 🙂
The sound quailty is excellent
All glories to the now defunct Cinema le Rond-Point for its acoustics, Uher CR210 cassette recorder, BASF CRO2 cassettes, BST electret condenser microphones and my left arm holding the lot above head level. Thanks for leaving a comment.
Merci beaucoup
My pleasure
I love Frozen Warnings...
Grazie mille
non c'è di che😎
Thank you for this🙂
Glad you like it.😁
Why do you have so many maniac sound sources like this ? 🙃🙄 Thanks for sharing them 😀😀😀
Give an ape eternity and a tape recorder and he's bound to record something good, the only hitch is that I haven't been granted eternity and neither have most of the acts I taped.😂
Merci infiniment✨💙🙏
Avec plaisir 😊
Bella 🎧✨✨✨
grazie per Nico !
I want to thank you so much, that's fantastic😍
Glad you like it, thanks!
My friends Toots and Willy said in the early 80s when they were recording Le Chat Bleu that the strongest dope in the world is from Marseille. She met Nico where she lived in Manchester around that time and said Nico was one of the coolest realest persons she ever met, no star trip, no Warhol scene attitude.
She seemed to be rather depressed about not finding what she expected from Marseille(don't know if she eventually shared anything with the guy who offered some lebanese product), Cale seemed to ignore her and I saw her again a few months later in Arles where she played Fallin In Love Again with Kevin Ayers (both in a rather poor shape) and declared she « was amoureuse mais malheureuse, pas heureuse » then joining Kevin in a mishmash German English duet of FILA. Poignant but musically questionable.
thanks you very much best regards from france
Thank you for leaving a comment and best wishes to you and your loved ones.😎
