I used to be a hair stylist at some high end avant-garde salons in a major city. Notice I said “used to” the shallow, uptight, prima-donna, drama queen atmosphere was just too damn much. I became a heroin addict and got the HELL out!
I used to go to Curl up and Dye. I loved it the first couple years but then there was a rapid turn around of stylist and it became way to vulgar and I can tolerate quite a bit.
I learned that you have to roll with the punch’s that are thrown at you. Also I was amazed at how some of the stylists spoke to their clients. I know this show is older but that still should be acceptable.
I learned that using a razor with a bob can give it a tapered look and that if you use to much conditioner when shampooing, it can make the hair more difficult to style. I also learned that not being able to take criticism from those around you and not being able to work well with others will hinder your growth as a good hair stylist.

For those of you that participated in the "Lunch & Learn" today tell me in two (2) to three (3) sentences what you learned from watching this show.
I learned the judges were impressed with the razor cut and everyone on this show has a lot of drama
