The producers really threw her to the sharks. They knew she'd drown. A brand new stylist (5 months?) was swapped with an experienced salon OWNER. Obvious drama, not fair, but it makes a good show if you like to see that.

The owner of that filthy Oregon saloon should learn from Richard instead of fighting him. The man has skills!

8 years later i feel i still need to comment on this. at Glass they did not help Amanda not all. the manager put her down for not learning how to blow dry in school, but did not see an opportunity to teach her, imagine what credit it would have given Glass if they taught her all the skills she lacked in a couple of days. Richard had an easier experience, he has confidence and skill and the The Loft owner wasnt too mean, i loved that he did a glam-up of their salon and the owner liked it
