I like to play with the mindset that my characters don't know what they're getting into, but I absolutely do. I make my in-game choices based on that. I do have a character (usually my first run) which in basically I do the run blind, and then make choices as I would, which I did for my dwarf. Morrigan wanted to drink from the well so my idea was like, well 1. It's creepy. Better her than me. And 2. I liked Morrigan in Origins, if she wants it just let her go for it!! And I was so shocked by how it played out the first time. On my second playthrough I played a dalish mage, who ended up taking the power from the well for herself simply because she thought it was her birthright, seeing as the elvhen are her ancestors (she also wasn't very fond of Morrigan).
Even with my headcanon Dalish Inquisitor, I will never let him drink that Well. None of my Dalish Inquisitors drink from that Well. Sure lost knowledge and all the shit, but at the cost of free will and being enslaved by a powerful being? No way. What is their vow again? Never again we shall submit? That includes the elven gods, who are revealed as nothing but powerful slavers. Drinking that well would definitely go against their adage. For me, I feel bad to pass this to Morrigan since she is going to be bound back to her abuser, but yeah, my Inquisitors will never. Good thing I picked up Arcane Knowledge to understand Abelas' warning even before Flemeth reveals the side effects of that Well. Flemeth might be undeniably abusive to Morrigan, but some of her criticisms against her is rather on point, Morrigan really stretches herself towards the things she barely knows. But I know with all her flaws, Morrigan proves herself to be trustworthy and steadfast and I admire her for fighting back from her fate.
Okay so mythial was betrayed, but wouldnt all the gods be betrayed? By the maker? Or was it the dread wolf? Seems very weird all these gods reuniting so abruptly
Okay you might already know this but Solas is fen Harel and the story of him tricking the gods was twisted, They were enslaving the elves and Solas was freeing elven slaves from the gods, then they killed Mythal and then Solas created the veil banishing the elven gods.
@@TheOneBeing1345 yea didnt play the game when i wrote this. I played it afterwards when i started getting intrested in d3 and watching the videos. I was just taking my knowledge from the first two games at the time.
After all my experience with her, I would say that her goals in the end are for the eventual good of the world. Thus worthy to support! Plus it would give her power against Flemeth (perhaps drinking it would even allow her to see the actualities surrounding Flemeth)
The more i think about this, the more i am convinced that "Old Gods", "Elven Gods" and "Taint" are all connected. I mean we saw Mythal absorbed Urthemiel's soul extremely easily, without harming the person who carried it. How many living beings can do that? I doubt that even Architect or Corypheus could do that. And Darkspawn are instinctively drawn to the Old Gods. The true question is, what is the connection between Taint and Elven Gods? Could they created it after their banishment? Could it be some small part of their corruption, which they left in the "Black City" to be found, and to force elves to tear veil and bring them back? Maybe chantry was partly right after all. It was punishment, but not because of the "sins" of the men, but because what Fen'Harrel did? And to make elves desperate enough, so that they would choose living in the slavery of the "elven gods" rather than die horribly. But they didn't account for the fact that Elves, after creation of the Veil, were reduced to being ordinary mortals like Humans/Quanari, so they did not have enough power to bring them back even if they desired so.
It all depends on who drinks from the well, if the Inquisitor drinks, they gain a dragon, regardless of their race. If Morrigan drinks then she gains the ability to become a dragon.
@@andrewpj7 I dont get it; is it like if you played DAO and got her pregnant, your ps4 will somehow remember that and somehow effect how this game plays? how?
Holy cow i did not realize this was even a possible scene. In my game I drank from the well, met with Mythal at the altar in the grove. She granted my wish for aid, said "nice talk, i free you from our bond" and that was that. I got a dragon and well knowledge, at no cost. @@rogelioregalado2032 If you want to know- SPOILER: They were slave markings from the Evanuris. The Evanuris were tyrants which is why Fen'Herel turned against them.
I'm sorry but in the last playthrouth I couldn't stop thinking that the Old Elven are just old gatekeepers, what good are they? Like for real... in DA4 if I have the opportunity I will be just as harsh as they are to the young races ....
My Dalish Inquisitor actually finds that to be a good thing; considering Mythal was the most noble of the Evanuris. She is the mother and the protector of the people, and would probably have been her main choice of worship to begin with.
I think he’ll appear if you use the default world state. If you use the Dragon Age Keep, you need to select the dark ritual as being performed. Or a male Hero of Ferelden can romance her without allowing the ritual. Kieren will appear but not have an old god soul.
Hear me out, Mythal isn't a elf, human, mage whatever. She is the thing that is pulling all the strings. Solas was her servant, maybe he was an ex slave or perhaps once was an owner of slaves in ancient times. The Evenuris warred/killed Mythal, as in killed her worshippers. Solas and the rest of her followers, couldn't abide this and warred against the rest of them. She embodied Solas as her devotee to help him lock the Evenuris away. Mythal is like the One Ring, she has a will of her own and she manipulates people throughout history to turn the tides as she sees fit. She embodied Andraste, Flemeth, pushed the Wardens to fight the Blight, Hawke, and the Inquisitor.
Nope not at all, Solas is Ben Fariel the Dread wolf who rose up against the Dalish gods and stole their divinity causing them to die, Mythal survived by letting a human be the host of her spirit. She changes things yes but she did not embody Andraste, Andraste was a woman who rose up against the imperium centuries ago to bring order to the world, she created the chantry, the circles of magi, the templars and the seekers who were remnants of the first Inquisition. In ancient elven lore the maker is a part of it and where the original chant of light was derrived from.

The idea that Morrigan wants to drink the wisdom from the well of a goddess she doesn't even believe in or respect always sickened me. She doesn't even know anything about Mythal, and only her limited 'studies' of the Elven people give her some haughty belief that she alone is worthy of drinking from the well. Morrigan disgusts me! The idea that the Inquisitor, as an Elf, would say 'Do you believe this Mythal still exists' even though the Dalish worship her among 8 other Elven deities is annoying! Lavellan would never have asked that! Gah...I always drink from the well, otherwise getting through the Library in Trespasser is massive pain in arse!
I don't understand why they kept giving flemeth reappearances. If you keep morrigan away from her and kill her in DA origins she dies permanently. But yet she reappears in both DA2 and Inquisition. Always bothered me because flemeth is an evil, power hungry bitch.
She actually did not die when you killed her in Origins (way too powerful for that), and she is actually fighting for the good of the world (chaotic good).
For you idiots talking about Solas, the concept of nuance doesn't exist your tiny minds.
If you allow Morrigan to drink the video is different but the words are the same.
Since Solas absorbs mythal, whoever drank the well will end up as his servant.
cant believe none of these changes affect the vailguard
You can’t let Morrigan risk for the well, you know what her husband would do to you?
Of course I know her husband, he's me!
I never had this story thread (mainly because my Warden was a mage in love with Leliana). I wonder how the dragon fight plays without Morrigan.
BioWare when are we getting a Dragon Age Legendary Edition?
This NEEDS to happen
Honestly i feel like morrigan would've just jumped in lol.
That elvhen armor is so cool! Why couldn't we unlcock a schematic for it?!
So after the Trespasser events, does that mean Solas controls you know because he sucked up Mythal's spirit? lol
I think who ever drank will be a villian controlled by Solas in DA4 at some point
10:44 this bitch can fly
I would have let Morrigan drink from it. I trust her with my life at this point.
Is the dragon F mentions only in the Elf story line? I don't remember this. Morrigan has always been the dragon that takes on C's dragon
It all depends on who drinks from the well, if the Inquisitor drinks, they gain a dragon, regardless of their race. If Morrigan drinks then she gains the ability to become a dragon.
How do you get the armor for solas?
It’s one of the higher armor tier. I faintly recall that the schematic should be available at the DLC mirror shop if you own game of the year edition.
Andrew P. Okay thanks
Woah, nice! You use that Morrigan outfit mod, makes her look much better!
Is that captain Kathryn Janeway from star Trek?!
Yup. Kate Mulgrew
How do you even get this scene? I seriously don't remember this at all.
You mean Kieran having cameo? Make sure that Morrigan have child in DA:O either with the warden or Alastair.
Does this scene still happen if it was a love child between her and the Warden (not the ritual before the fight)?
Egeslean Yes, it will still happen.
@@andrewpj7 I dont get it; is it like if you played DAO and got her pregnant, your ps4 will somehow remember that and somehow effect how this game plays? how?
polesmoker dragon age keep it’s a website
I want to have my inquisitor drink but I'll feel bad if I do.
I love how Solas and Vivienne never agree on anything but they both despise Morrigan lol
Morrigan should have stayed with my Warden. She killed Flemeth once already.
Twice
Ho was that water woman that jumped in the eluvian?
Wait do vallaslin not show up in the fade?
Nvm they just vanished partway through
If you haven't found out yet, there's a scene in the Solas romance that lets you remove the vallaslin, it happens after the Well.
Does drinking the well is better then let morrigan drink it ?
Who is the woman in the water?
Holy cow i did not realize this was even a possible scene. In my game I drank from the well, met with Mythal at the altar in the grove. She granted my wish for aid, said "nice talk, i free you from our bond" and that was that. I got a dragon and well knowledge, at no cost. I have been playing since the first dragon age, I must've done something right. Also Moriggan raised Kieran to be his own man, to become whomever he wanted to be.
Edit: I am curious though, what choices need to be made for Morrigan to be clothed?? In my game shes wearing the same outfit as you meet her in the first game.
Its probably a mod for the video
What mod did you use for Inky's elven uniform in the war room? It's amazing.
How does Morigan have that outfit on? I have every DLC and she doesn't look that way, she has open chest and skin.
It would be mods, only on the PC. for those of us with consoles, dragon age isn't moddable. At least for playstation - I donvt play xbox so I wouldn't know.
@@ladybilbert2227 sadly xbox doesnt give mods for dai either...its sad
is that why your morrigan is so much more clothed than mine?
Who is the spirit that comes out of the well?
Why does Abelas have face tattoos if he's from the time of Arlathan I thought he was a true elven
He is. And he is a servant of/bound to Mythal so he bears her mark.
@@Saphira1001fanfic but aren't the markings a slaves crest from tevinter
@@rogelioregalado2032 If you want to know- SPOILER:
They were slave markings from the Evanuris. The Evanuris were tyrants which is why Fen'Herel turned against them.
So Solas haves the old god soul and a part of mythal in him now??
here after getting truth bombed in veilguard :)
Keiran: No more dreams?
Mythal/Flemeth: No more dreams.
Me: *ugly sobbing*
the armor and weapons on your elf, what are they cause those look so bad ass
I'm sorry but in the last playthrouth I couldn't stop thinking that the Old Elven are just old gatekeepers, what good are they? Like for real... in DA4 if I have the opportunity I will be just as harsh as they are to the young races ....
Is bad for yourself to drink the well?
I don't see any immediate consequences yet in this game. But I think it might bad for the inquisitor since he/she are now bound to the mythal.
My Dalish Inquisitor actually finds that to be a good thing; considering Mythal was the most noble of the Evanuris. She is the mother and the protector of the people, and would probably have been her main choice of worship to begin with.
@dianna k She's chill with muh boi Solas so I'm on her side regardless XD
Actually it's bad because Solas absorbed mythal so I'm guessing he will have power over the inquisitor the next game...
@@WingedEdits All the moar reason to drink.
Eggboi can have all the power he wants over my Inquisitor; she still loves him.
What shield is this?
I play the game on my pc so I use shield mod.
www.nexusmods.com/dragonageinquisition/mods/2084
I just wanna say that your Inquisitor is very hot in the thumbnail thank u
What armor are you wearing and how do you get it?
PutridFoe 65 it’s the highest tier armor. I modded the appearance of the armor.
Wait how do I get this one? I never knew Morrigan had a son?
I think he’ll appear if you use the default world state. If you use the Dragon Age Keep, you need to select the dark ritual as being performed. Or a male Hero of Ferelden can romance her without allowing the ritual. Kieren will appear but not have an old god soul.
@yggdrasil1969 I didn't because I did the default and the Warden was a female who died against the Arch Daemon.
@@deathstar6998 Hi! Im Ben Fariel! And i sell used cars to you for cheap...no credit? No problem, and Ben Fariel's we believe that if you ha e a job, you have credit! Its Fen'harel you idiot
mythal is an elf that's what all the elven gods are they are just extremely powerful mages

@@FLASK904 No need to be condescending I wrote that late at night and didn't bother to check if I pronounced it correct.
Forever bothered that Kieran has the voice of a four-year-old and the body of an eight-year-old.
Why? Young boys can definitely have such voices at those ages (I would know).

By the way, Kieran's voice actor is the actual kid of Claudia Black (Morrigan),

this is a fine video, but holy crap are the graphics so bad in this game. Kieren randomly is a full grown man then 'child sized'. Total graphic failure. The frostbite engine is so …clunky
Dang she cute
She’s possibly my favorite character in the series. I think she’s complex, not evil. I think she’s been trying to guide things to save the world.
For you idiots talking about Solas, the concept of nuance doesn't exist your tiny minds. That's why u'd never understand complex characters like Solas, Flemeth, Thanos, or Dutch, and will continue to live your unremarkable lives as a waiter in starbucks, etc.
As for this scenario, it is likely just an inconsistency in the approval system. Because if you understand these characters well, and their motivations, it makes no sense why Vivienne would greatly approve of power should wouldn't be the master of.
You really calling Thanos deep?
To this mission i brought solas cassandra and varric.. solas was fantastic. Cassandra always praying to Andraste xD and varric was all "why the hell i end up in this shit!"..
In the Abyss i still brought varric (poor Hawke but Alistair you know...)
I kinda like the idea of Varric being this random Dwarf who finds himself in crazier and crazier shit all the time xD even at redcliff xD
Is it just me or it feels like the perfect inquisitor is a female mafe elf?
I started as a rogue but ended up switching character after skyhold to.. femElf mage seems like perfect for lore and much more
What shield is that?
