Thank you for this information!!! I got hit by a drunk driver on Oct 31st. I was driving a rental from Lyft, and had a passenger in the car too. They have told me NOTHING other than telling me about the money I owe them over it. I did nothing wrong!!! The other girl hit me head on, and she went straight to jail with a .27 BAC!

My buddy James is going thru this RIGHT NOW with Lyft (in a Lyft rental). He had a wreck Saturday night and Lyft is giving him the runaround about it all. They're telling him to go after the OTHER driver's insurance in order to get another rental car. I think Lyft has the ability to get him another rental, and they can go after the other driver's insurance thru subrogation. They're basically throwing the ball back and forth, not really wanting to handle this situation for him.

@Sergio-SMTMC I just texted him the screenshot with Bryant's info and told him to make sure he knew SERGIO sent him. This way, they know what modes of marketing are working. Glad you did this video brotha! I've been on driver's ASSES lately about being careful. I've got so many accidents recorded. More than last year. Folks came out of lockdown and forgot how to drive!

@Sergio-SMTMC But that will let these attorneys know how powerful these channels are for driver information. That's why I need him to let Bryant know where he heard of it. We're a network. We dont have a corporate headquarters like these apps.
We meet on channels and that's how we get business across to each other. Love ya brotha, and keep putting out these kinda videos. It's VERY necessary to make it in this industry as a business owner. We gotta have each other's backs like this.

Only an extra $30 a month??? Most of the insurance companies that I called don't even cover rideshare, and the ones that do quoted me around 1k per month!! What insurance company should I be using for rideshare coverage? And why doesn't Uber tell us we need to do this at the very beginning? Why do they just accept a regular insurance card and then send you off to work? Isn't that technically illegal?

The ride share offered by insurance companies is a joke. Your paying a lot of extra money and they only cover you for period one or phase one where your sitting with your app on, driving to get the passenger or once you get them you are not covered! All they will do during period 2 & 3 is fill in the gap between Ubers deductible so for ex: if Uber charges you a 2500 deductible and if you have a 1000 dollar deductible with your insurance company or whatever it is, they will deduct that for you so youll pay 1500 instead. They won't cover your loss wages if you pay for this extra insurance on your policy unless you are physically hurt and can't drive. Is your car messed up and cant drive i
to make money? To bad , your not covered, no loss of wages unless your physical hurt! What a joke and most drivers who get the extra insurance have no clue.
Insurance companies should be rewarded these drivers because they're professional, they've learned defensive driving over the years, theu should be given discounts instead they're punished . No insurance companies cover the passengers and your car while driving with them in it at least none that I have found. It's a shame

If you decide to do personal car insurance while I ride sharing you got to find a car insurance company that will accept you as a ride share driver that's why most of the time if I got in an accident when I was ubering I use my personal insurance Uber's insurance takes too long the deductible too damn high and I guess God was on my side because I never had a passenger in my car while I was ubering... And even when you do find a car insurance company that will accept that you are a driver get ready for your premiums to shoot as high as eagle nuts 🤣

I’m going through this right now, progressive can kiss my ass. I worked for Lyft for a week and got into a fender bender. Lori from progressive called me and told me not even ten minutes after talking to her I was at fault. And no coverage was there for my car because I was in a period one. And if it was to be found that I wasn’t to be at fault didn’t matter because my car would not be covered. The witness lied even after she told the cop and my insurance a totally different story. Of what happened I was forced into drawing a diagram for them. Didn’t matter how much I protested they had me at fault. Every time I talked with them they kept saying I was at fault. These companies don’t care about us as drivers. They pay us shit and don’t have our backs for nothing. After this I would not get progressive insurance for nothing. Be careful out there
