Welcome! I had a similar problem. The turbocharger was rebuilt and a new aftermarket actuator was installed. After installation on the car I had an error! After a lot of research, watching videos on TH-cam, I found that Turboserv installed an incompatible actuator. I checked with the multimeter directly on the pins of the position sensor, the values of the output signal, operating the actuator with the vacuum pump and with the ignition on. I found that I had the values totally reversed compared to another perfectly identical car! The actuator had to be replaced with one compatible with the original series of the turbocharger. The compatible one had the correct values. It was only necessary to make the adjustments to obtain min-max values and make adaptation with vcds. Everything was ok!!!

I had the issue where it kept going to limp mode because the dpf wasn't doing what it should be.
Changed turbo actuator, programmed it, gave it a carbon clean and then cleared codes, has been running sweet for the last 3 years now

Well done and glad you are paid for your time. Couple of thoughts, the original garage have tried to fix the car as cheap as possible. The garage obviously put the wrong parts that don't work, especially with modern electronics. Sometimes you have say no to jobs, and in this case give a written report as supporting evidence. The garage must know who you are and if they see this video, want to fix it properly for the customer!

But for new VW cars better to use Odis for diagnose.
And I think (99%sure) that firmware in ECU have switch to change to another sensor. But is really hard to find, without Damos fast imposible.

      Also true...
I had a similar situation, where a DTC was deleted from the ecu, the car was going into limp mode with no codes... as soon as I flashed an ORI software the problem was immediately highlighted by the trouble code...

Does the actuator even move physically? Because if it's not, it may be a common power/ground problem between the actuator and the temperature sensor, as those look to be close together and may be on the same wiring loom.
It's not stuck vanes because the turbo has been changed.

My first thoughts with a glow plug light is tandem pump. Just started watching though. Also that coolant tank is overfilled jeez. Interesting that the turbo is different. The part number is the same just the revision of it looks differently. I'm surprised it would affect that much. I don't know how the electronic actuators work, but could the vacuum lines be reversed causing the swapped voltages?

    • @moldovanandrei7008

Also the turbine has to be dismounted and checked. Could somebody let me know what are the steps of the Electronic Actuator replacement? Thank you in advance.

    • @LMAutoRepairs
      @LMAutoRepairs  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

What is wrong with the actual one?
The actuator is a vacuum actuator with a position sensor...
Just remove one and install the new one...
There a procedure with the correct scan tool to program/reset the new actuator...

Careful with the camera, you are filming your hands waving across the lens. We can't see through your fingers, so it is very distracting. I know people on youtube have started doing this and it has spread so everyone thinks they need to on videos - but it looks rubbish.
If you are filming something close up and pointing out a part that's fine - if you are standing looking at a car, talking about it and then pointing at it, there is no need to as we know what you are pointing the camera at!
Many youtube people do things for a joke and see how long it takes for others to copy their style.
There was a youtuber that suddenly started using this huge old fashioned 1940s microphone and put it in front of the camera so it was difficult to see his face. Within days, other videos appeared and people had bought replica mics and put them so it blocked their face.
It was a hoax as the person had a clip-on mic.
