When I was in 1st grade I used to draw Sonic flying towards the chaos emerald from this stage and the underwater "ghost bars" and Mario swimming past them from SMB3. Then I'd give them to my friend. It's cool how watching these gameplay videos make me remember stuff like that.
this glitch happened to me randomly while playing by *totally legit means* (a website with a bunch of free games that's available for mobile too), idk how i felt but it must have been good skipping an entire act just by collecting some rings
I mean the sign makes no sense. It's supposed to calculate how fast you got through the act as far as I know, but I'll get a time of 0:20 and it'll say like "997 kph" but I'll get a time of 0:17 and it'll say "902 kph". It's bizzare.
You can turn around on the special stages too, making it much easier to get the rings faster. It would've sped up this Speedrun probably by 2 minutes if you did it for every special stage.
@PJman586 Wasn't there another six? Are they only for game gear? Like triple trouble, tails adventure, sonic drift 1&2 and two others I can't remember. EDIT: one is labyrinth - I don't know how I forgot that considering I watched a video of it just now. And the other is Tails Skypatrol.

PJ is right there are 6 SMS Sonic games (which he listed), but there is 12 Game Gear Sonic games (they include the SMS one’s plus 6 more, so you’d be correct about GG). So, all the Game Gear Sonic games would be: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos, Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble, Sonic Blast, Tails’ Skypatrol, Tails Adventure, Sonic Spinball, Dr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2 Wow. You were able to remember some really obscure Sonic games off the top of your head. The only one you were missing was Tails’ Skypatrol, which is really obscure.

A few years ago I used to be really into sonic games, and as I wasn't someone who was alive when they originally came out, I've mostly played the compilation games like mega collection plus and gems collection, and then looked up more stuff on the internet. This means that I've also found out about the sonic games all together, which means I've actually researched them at some point rather than just hearing about them when they come out like most normal people. That's why I know them pretty much off by heart. I'm a bit of a nerd. Thanks, though.

I actually beat this game recently, but not with all emeralds
The game gear manual showed Sonic taking damage and losing a giant ring in the Zone description for the first zone. Is that a beta thing or something?
I've always preferred the Game Gear version. It's got a better title screen, character select screen, and music.
