@emperortoho super chaotix wouldn't really work since, for starters, there's no emeralds. While The chaos rings do carry chaos energy thanks to the master emerald, but they only have power to form a special ring to get to special stages. That doesn't mean mighty and the rest were vulnerable to the power of chaos. However, chaotox never made a return on the classic games, they came back in heroes. So they mostly forgot about this whole adventure, as well as forgetting about how chaos energy works/knowing about chaos energy.
A lot of this game is just designed around flexing what the 32x was capable of rather than making a cohesive game around it, it's honestly one of its biggest flaws because it feels more like a tech demo than an actual Sonic game because of how unrealized a lot of its concepts are

They could've released this on the Saturn with some enhancements, i mean, there was something here that could've kept some Sonic fans happy on the Saturn years.
I found a lot of enjoyment from the ring mechanic once I understood how to manipulate its tech to the fullest. That being said, you can just _feel_ how undercooked this game is. Love it, but the experience is an acquired taste.
The bosses in this game were very bold and creative. I’m glad the sonic newtrolgic panic game home brew is gonna match this style of game minus the ring chains lol
God this game is so weird. I simply cannot understand the thought process behind this and someone saying "Yes, people will LOVE this idea!". It just feels so rushed and unpolished (understandably so knowing the 32X) which is shocking for their main IP.
While I do think this game is way better then most give it credit for, though it does take some getting use to. The "Best Ending" is a dumb disappointment at best.

We finally got the best ending version of this game on TAS. Felt like a decade has passed since the first TAS of this game.
I'll admit, this game is a guilty pleasure of mine. This TAS really did this game justice!

The score skipping glitch is hilarious. I love how it always gets 100 points into cancelling out the negative score and then just ends the tally.

well at one point chaotix was being developed for the saturn but all the prototypes for it have been sadly lost
