(Some of the content in this video may be inspired by other amazing quilters' work. And while I would love to be able to identify the author of the original pattern, sometimes that's impossible to do. I hope you understand.)
The perfect first quilting project right here 😀 so special!
I love this pattern!
With browns and beige you have stashed make a TEDDY BEAR with the beige and surround with the browns. It'll be cute! 🐻
Love that, thank you.
Always beautiful !!!
A very happy, colorful quilt. I always look forward to your "sew as you go" quilts. It always has a happy, satisfying outcome! Thanks for sharing. 😊 ❤
Thank you so much! 😀
Wow ! Thanks so much ! I have two quilts that I have started, but have put off finishing. This makes me want to get them done now.
Sounds like a plan! 😁
I love your machine quilt mat. It looks so nice. This pattern would make a nice baby quilt too. I can just see it in a pram or little one in a car seat snuggled in a bright quilt like this and like you said. Anyone can give it a go and make something lovely for the grandchild, niece, nephew etc. and everyone would think that are a mastermind sewing it and yes, they would be.
Love that 😍
I LOVE watching you. you make everything so fun. thank you.
Thank you so much! 😊
I just loved The idea about background! ❤😊
The colors of your fabrics make working with them a joy!
Absolutely! I love playing with pretty fabric 😍
Thanks for awesome quilts video. ❤❤❤
Sandy, I love your smile and your beaming face ❤ Your videos brighten my day, as do your cheerful quilts bursting with wonderful colours 🥰
Oh thank you! ☺️
What an easy quilt to make, and I love it❤. Have a great week ahead. ❤
Thank you, you too! 😄
Que show!!!
Very good video. Thank you for sharing. Would you do a future video showing how you miter the binding corners with close up and a very thorough explanation? I really struggle with this step. Thank you
Sounds like a great idea!
I love all your videos. I'm going to try this one.
Have fun! 😀
Great pattern for a table runner. I love it
Renkler iç açıcı, ellerinize emeğinize yüreğinize sağlık ❤❤❤❤😊
Thank you 😊
very pretty Sandy! Bonus that it's QAYG!
Such fun. Could even use scraps especially if you have 2 1/2 “ strips. I especially like being able to totally finish off the project my self.
Thanks
Hi Vanessa, thank you so much ☺️
I just love you and listening to your videos. I have learned a lot. Keep them coming
Thank you for the new idea, I love Tula Pink fabric and I got some in scrap bags that would work perfectly for this pattern you did... Thank you...😊
Great teacher!
Love this! Brick wall might be my new favourite 🙂
I love it too, so simple but stunning

Hello - loved your video and machine mat. Might I ask what model of Singer sewing machine you are using, please? It looks to have a larger open area which would be good for machine quilting. Thank you in advance
Hi! It's a singer modern quilter. It's a bit too temperamental for me but the neck space is awesome, yes!
@seweasybysandy Thank you. Appreciate the info. If you wouldn't mind, how do you find it temperamental? I'm 71 and have only been quilting for about 5 years and, like you, get much satisfaction from quilting. Just think I need something with a bit more room when quilting bigger projects.
Heidi
@heidilauner6696 the tension is kind of wacky most of the time, I thought it was a malfunction but I had it repaired and it's still bad. Yes! We need a sewing machine that gives us room to grow 😄
Thank you for your prompt response - it was very helpful. I find tension problems frustrating, as well. Something to think about. Hope you have a terrific day because you always help those of us who watch your videos to have a brighter day.
@heidilauner6696 thank you so much, I really appreciate it 😄
Save all brown and beige fabric and make a quilt with them alone.
Yes! A fall quilt 🥰
A Table Runner
That would look lovely 😍
I wish you would show more sewing when you do the binding. Do you go to the end and stitch back? or turn the needle and continue sewing? Don't need to see every row stitched. I appreciate your videos though and thank you
Hi. I do self binding, so I use a larger piece of backing fabric and fold it over the top to make the binding. So I only sew once.
I didn't care for brown or beige either
Browns and beige go with Fall quilts like leaves and acorns and pinecorns...
I pretty much stopped quilting because quilts are not actually useful to anyone I've ever met. People politely accept them but don't use them. And any donation would be more useful in the form of money spent on the supplies. It's a real bummer, but even my partner doesn't like them. He sits ourside a lot, I made one to warm him up, but he doesn't like how cotton feels when it's cold outside. I could make a wool one, but I don't think he'll like it either. He's perfectly happy with a cheaper synthetic blanket from the store.
It's so expensive and time consuming, so knowing that it's useless, I can't justify wasting time, money, space in the house, and creating more waste for the landfill. Even though patchwork is fun.
Oh I'm sorry to hear that. But yeah, there are a lot of things you can do with a patchwork top, from a mug rug to a table cloth! It doesn't need to be a quilt.
