The moment Koby stood up to Sakazuki in the paramount war was the exact moment Hibary fell in love with him..
I felt that the hatred he had during that moment wasn't about stopping the war that punch was hotter then the one that doughnuted ace I think it's something else like habari told him about koby. His absolutely her dad he wouldn't have act like that if he wasn't.

About the "impotent fool" line, I always thought it was the translator's miss understanding the common expression "impudent fool." Like how people think it's "all intents and purposes" is "all intensive purposes," or "espresso" is "expresso." Things like that. And to be clear, in the manga it is "ぬるい男" which directly means "lenient or soft guy." "Impotent" might be close for "soft" but the use of "fool" was editorial flavoring.
Impotent also means powerless to do something. It is not out of place to be used to refer to someone being weak to act on something either. So it isn't necessarily a mistake of this category. Especially since the official translation was "soft man". As in, Sakazuki was too weak-willed to do what should have been done.
Ah yes the relationship triangle where one side tries to kill the other one, and other one tries to date, and the person they tried to date is the child of person trying to kill them.

This make sense coz I always find the dialogue between Aka Inu and Bonney/Kuma weird. Why was Aka Inu relieved that Bonney is okay ? Why he seems to "respect" Kuma when facing him ? I think he respects him coz Kuma does everything in order to protect his daughter.
I just assume it's because Bonney is half celestial dragon. Her safety is part of their job. Didn't really notice the "respect" thing myself, but I may just have read over it, gotta check again.

He was relieved because they needed Bonney to keep Kuma in check. Without Bonney, the world government loses one of its most important pawns
@@TheRockerXKuma had no will of his own to their knowledge. Why would they need Bonney to control him? Prior to his cyborgization maybe, but after that the world govt pretty much thought he was completely under their control. Until what like Sabaody? Given that was only two years ago I doubt the world govt felt the need to find and capture her. I’d imagine it has more to do with her status as a celestial dragon. Akainu should know that and would be compelled by his job to protect her. It’s also possible he knows she’s just a little girl and not a full fledged pirate yet, maybe he thinks he can save her somehow.

If Sakazuki is a dad that would be an epic back story. Also it would set up a good plot point. Picture this Hibari gets taken by either the World Government or Blackbeard, being both incredibly pissed and internaly concerned, Sakazuki declares that he will personally take on said foe maybe laying down his pride and working alongside Luffy and Crew to reclaim his daughter. Before the fight every Marine shows up to back him up, showing their pride and sort of trust in him, and as he sheds a couple tears he gives Luffy a stiff apology for killing Ace
In my opinion Sakuzuki shedding tears and apologizing to Luffy would completely ruin his character. L theory.
As an American, I can tell you the accent you are looking for is a Louisiana Southern accent called Cajun. It's a crazy mix of Southern (suh-thern please don't say redneck as that is an insult lol) and French Canadian.

It doesn’t have to be Sakazuki’s biological daughter, really. It could just be the daughter of the woman that Sakazuki loved. When she passed, it became his life goal to raise and protect her, now carrying the will of the woman he loved.

One nitpick: it couldn't be that Akainu was radicalized by Hibari's mom's death, because he was already perfectly radical back at Ohara (blowing up a civilian ship on the off chance it'd kill someone who studied the Void Century) unless we're prepared to age Hibari way over Coby by at least as much older than him as was the Ohara incident.
The fact you made me picture Foxy killing Sakazuki's wife made me comfortable in being subscribed to you.

On why Hibari isn't like Sakazuki: It could also be that he acts entirely different around her on purpose to also keep her innocence (and the fact she mioght be his only daughter) which led to her turning out like that. Either way I would love to see a situation where Sakazuki is facing the choice between abandoning his absolute justice for his daughter or the other way around. Drama baby!

Hibari may well have been added to the story to create a path for Sakazuki flipping. His lack of relationships kind of makes it hard to imagine any motivation for change. Giving him and daughter and allying her with Sword means Sakazuki at least in theory has a more reasonable voice in his ear. It's not terribly hard to imagine Koby defying an admiral or higher, Hibari gets involved, someone hurts her, and Sakazuki goes full dad rage on like Greenbull or an Elder. I don't know how redeemed he'll end up being, but he's been moving towards giving the Marines the finger for awhile now.

As a person who is caught up to the manga how the heck have I never noticed this flower on sakazuki I swear until you pointed this out it didn’t exist.
I have a theory that the thing that shanks told Kaido to stop him from coming to marineford was that Luffy was there. He probably told him that Luffy would become Nika who Kaido wanted to find desperately. That way, if Kaido came to marineford and killed white beard, Luffy would die, the dawn would never come, and Kaido would live out his days knowing his dream was crushed by himself.

Pirates capture Hibari and toture her to make him mad like Garp was when Ace died. Then if your losing a fight with him reveal the hostage and have like a contraption bringing her closer to her death to infuriate him more just like Garp was when he got held down then kill her right infront of him or give her the same treatment ace received with a hole through her chest and stomach then let her drop to the ground and let akainu cry like luffy did then you kill akainu to. The ultimate revenge for ace. And if he ask's why say its for ace.
I definetly can see a scene of Sakazuki havibg a heel realization of what he's done, perhaps after something he did or orders ends up hurting Hibari badly and has his entire worldview crushed as he now realizes he is also the problem, and if that happens i think it's very likely we'll have a scene of him going into battle, fully intending to die as atonement for hurting what in his eyes is the most precious thing to exist and going iff Oda's track record, i am not going to assume a potential flashback/death scene will fail to make me sympathize

Chin Piece makes Luffy's attack Elephant Gun have a whole new meaning.
Maybe sakazuki is an alternative to Kuma. Having a dead wife, daughter he's willing to go to any lengths to protect. But where Kuma's a pacifist, sakazuki's a ruthless killer. Kuma relinquishes peoples suffering to take it onto himself, sakazuki delivers suffering to everyone else. Kuma is analogous to God with all his religious symbolism, and sakazuki can be seen as analogous to the devil. Literally he brings a firey and torturous death to his enemies. Even one of his attacks is called hell hound.
Worth pointing out, in the anime Vice Admiral Jonathan is the first mention of Sakazuki since Jonathan apparently works under him. An example of less canon material done right.
Well... If Sakazuki meets his end in battle, then he may not live to BE Koby's In-law...
Franky's parents were pirates willing to chuck an unwanted kid into the sea and abandon him.
Franky is a pirate who is willing to defend and protect a kid who is actively being hunted by the world.

I feel the on camera pans & shakes in this video to be a tad excessive.
The only wrinkle with the "Sakazuki believes in absolute justice because pirates killed his wife/Hibari's mom" theory is that the timeline doesn't line up. We don't know how old Hibari is, but we can assume she is younger than Koby-Senpai, who is 18. Sakazuki was showing homicidal tendencies in the name of absolute justice as early as Ohara, which was 22 years ago. Now, if Sakazuki's whole family, perhaps including a younger sister named Hibari, was killed by pirates, that would fit a lot more cleanly. Definitely hope we get to see his flashback at some point.
I don't think the death of his wife is the catalyst. He was already a hardass when he destroyed Ohara and i believe that's longer in the past than Hibari is old.
ALTERNATIVELY
If Robin was around 12 when Ohara was destroyed then Hibari could have just been born (assuming she is Kobys age). That's more than enough time for a mother to die and Sakazuki would have literally vented his anger and sadness on the people of Ohara.
I changed my mind. I think i like that version better.
