And to be clear, in the manga it is "ぬるい男" which directly means "lenient or soft guy." "Impotent" might be close for "soft" but the use of "fool" was editorial flavoring.
Impotent also means powerless to do something. It is not out of place to be used to refer to someone being weak to act on something either. So it isn't necessarily a mistake of this category. Especially since the official translation was "soft man". As in, Sakazuki was too weak-willed to do what should have been done.

As an American, I can tell you the accent you are looking for is a Louisiana Southern accent called Cajun. It's a crazy mix of Southern (suh-thern please don't say redneck as that is an insult lol) and French Canadian.
Redneck refers to a certain type of person from all over. It doesn't just refer to people from the south. I've also never met anyone offended by that term and most the people who use it are the "rednecks" themselves.
If Sakazuki is a dad that would be an epic back story. Also it would set up a good plot point. Picture this Hibari gets taken by either the World Government or Blackbeard, being both incredibly pissed and internaly concerned, Sakazuki declares that he will personally take on said foe maybe laying down his pride and working alongside Luffy and Crew to reclaim his daughter. Before the fight every Marine shows up to back him up, showing their pride and sort of trust in him, and as he sheds a couple tears he gives Luffy a stiff apology for killing Ace

Akainu should know that and would be compelled by his job to protect her. It’s also possible he knows she’s just a little girl and not a full fledged pirate yet, maybe he thinks he can save her somehow.
I only heard about the One Piece being set in high school from a debate I had on Discord in a RWBY Discord server, but I haven't heard about all the other One Piece spinoffs.
I love this video. One nitpick: it couldn't be that Akainu was radicalized by Hibari's mom's death, because he was already perfectly radical back at Ohara (blowing up a civilian ship on the off chance it'd kill someone who studied the Void Century) unless we're prepared to age Hibari way over Coby by at least as much older than him as was the Ohara incident.
When it comes to Hibari and Sakazuki; I believe Jack Sparrow said it best; "You are very, very, ugly; so how could you produce a fetching creature such as that?"
While I love the idea of Sakazuki being Hibari’s father (he could also be her Uncle) & here is a fun fact both Ashura Doji & Tama both speak with with a dialect from the region called Kagoshima
8:50 I'm not sure if we know how old hibari is ,but assuming she's koby's age sakazuki would have already been an absolute justice maniac before she was even born
As a person who is caught up to the manga how the heck have I never noticed this flower on sakazuki I swear until you pointed this out it didn’t exist.
It doesn’t have to be Sakazuki’s biological daughter, really. It could just be the daughter of the woman that Sakazuki loved. When she passed, it became his life goal to raise and protect her, now carrying the will of the woman he loved.
Worth pointing out, in the anime Vice Admiral Jonathan is the first mention of Sakazuki since Jonathan apparently works under him. An example of less canon material done right.
Now personally, I think Hibari is adopted by Sakazuki (Kinda like Bell-mère adopting Nami & Nojiko). This is how I think Oda might go about showcasing Hibari's backstory. Picture this, a Vice Admiral Sakazuki explores a now destroyed village which was raided by pirates. With the marines being a little late, allowing the pirates to plunder the village and make there escape. In the midst of the flames, Sakazuki would find a young Hibari, standing there wailing holding a Teddy bear. Child Hibari reminded Sakazuki of his own childhood, so he casual adopts her. I don't really have any evidence to support this, I just thought it'd be a cool thought tbh.
Hibari may well have been added to the story to create a path for Sakazuki flipping. His lack of relationships kind of makes it hard to imagine any motivation for change. Giving him and daughter and allying her with Sword means Sakazuki at least in theory has a more reasonable voice in his ear. It's not terribly hard to imagine Koby defying an admiral or higher, Hibari gets involved, someone hurts her, and Sakazuki goes full dad rage on like Greenbull or an Elder. I don't know how redeemed he'll end up being, but he's been moving towards giving the Marines the finger for awhile now.
I can't wait for the video where we see Koby turned into a donut by Sakazuki in marineford, and how the timeline gets impacted. Maybe one for the end of the series though 🤔

I definetly can see a scene of Sakazuki havibg a heel realization of what he's done, perhaps after something he did or orders ends up hurting Hibari badly and has his entire worldview crushed as he now realizes he is also the problem, and if that happens i think it's very likely we'll have a scene of him going into battle, fully intending to die as atonement for hurting what in his eyes is the most precious thing to exist and going iff Oda's track record, i am not going to assume a potential flashback/death scene will fail to make me sympathize

I have a theory that the thing that shanks told Kaido to stop him from coming to marineford was that Luffy was there. He probably told him that Luffy would become Nika who Kaido wanted to find desperately. That way, if Kaido came to marineford and killed white beard, Luffy would die, the dawn would never come, and Kaido would live out his days knowing his dream was crushed by himself.
Its ironic and cool idea that at the end Sakazuki will sacrifice himself to protect Luffy from Imu's punch the same way Ace did from Sakazuki and join the donut club :D
i am pretty sure you brought this up in another video, so its not a huge deal. I am just surprised you didnt mention the whole kuzan only freezing hibari out of the whole lot. again, pretty sure you ve said it before in other videos, but shit is so funny was hoping to hear it again.
i love how oda can make us feel for any character in one piece no matter what negative they may have done, my favorite examples are doflamingo , nami , capone beige, katakuri, kaido, and now maybe sakazuki?
On why Hibari isn't like Sakazuki: It could also be that he acts entirely different around her on purpose to also keep her innocence (and the fact she mioght be his only daughter) which led to her turning out like that. Either way I would love to see a situation where Sakazuki is facing the choice between abandoning his absolute justice for his daughter or the other way around. Drama baby!
Now I really want Hibari to turn out as the daughter of fleet admiral AKAINU,Like that'll be the most perfect twist for akainu to change sides because of his daughter that he adores the most❤.

It's a bit hard to imagine Sakazuki around girls or women, since he seems to never interacted with them, put aside that 5 minute talk with Bonney
Liam: "Sakazuki has committed to many genocides to be redeemable."
Thel Vadam: *Laughs in Arbiter*
Its ironic and cool idea that at the end Sakazuki will sacrifice himself to protect Luffy from Imu's punch the same way Ace did from Sakazuki and join the donut club :D
I feel like Liam’s everything in video is way more thought out and deeper than Oda has himself 😆.
i am pretty sure you brought this up in another video, so its not a huge deal. I am just surprised you didnt mention the whole kuzan only freezing hibari out of the whole lot. again, pretty sure you ve said it before in other videos, but shit is so funny was hoping to hear it again.
Liam’s southern accent sounds like Tugg Speedman as simple Jack. Love it lmao
2:23 A fine addition to my collection good sir
i love how oda can make us feel for any character in one piece no matter what negative they may have done, my favorite examples are doflamingo , nami , capone beige, katakuri, kaido, and now maybe sakazuki?
Break week always get to you Liam, from clickbait to 50 ads in an 11-minute video
Bro is cooking right here
think of it this way. if a character in king of the hill showed up and talked exactly like boomhower.
i love your videos
they fumbled a major bag by not making the translation of their dialect more like new york or new jersey accent lol
Drama baby!
This is canon.
as someone from the Texas that accent impression is one of the best things I've heard all day
Foxy being the reason that Sakazuki is a strong believer of Absolute Justice would be tragic but hilarious… mostly hilarious.

Koby smiling be like, "Your daughter calls me Daddy too."
I'm a little bit more than half the video in and Liam absolutely COOKED with this one!
Luffy in dragon's clothes was absolutely BEAUTIFUL
3:43 that camera work tho
I never thought of the idea of Sakazuki possibly sacrificing himself
Sakazuki being an over protective dad just scaled to 11. That sounds so silly. Silly enough that it fits right in with One Piece.
Now I really want Hibari to turn out as the daughter of fleet admiral AKAINU,Like that'll be the most perfect twist for akainu to change sides because of his daughter that he adores the most❤.
I could've lived my whole life without knowing about chin piece's existence, but here I am.
I love the little sakazuki hibari backstory 😂. If Akainu actually had a backstory like that I would love it
I bought and read the Kobiyama manga when it was released-- I was waiting for a few years feeling quite certain Madoka would make it into the story. I recognized her immediately even under the name "Hibari".
