Never heard of Kyrasis before and he won a new fan, his insight is really deep and made me think about things I can improve. Love his UI block in the middle and will try to make my own abomination . Also keep the good work Quazii you are killing it
Wowhead theory crafters and BDK Discord folks aren't too fond of him. They dislike him because he's really good and knows BDK inside out. Thank you, Quazii.
The people on BDK's Discord are cringe as hell. Mandl specifically, dude just disregards any title achiever to ''you just have time to spend on it''. Don't know why they're so fond of tearing people's achievement down while simultaneously giving themselves an excuse for not achieving it themselves that's not related to their skill level.
It seems like discords does not like top players often. I know that the world first raiders makes jokes about them often. I also know that the top key pushers also do this same.
@@TempoNama Mandl hardly even plays, is abusive on WoWhead comments and the discord. It's insane the level those people are on regarding ego. Horrible advice from him since legion.
lot of class discord theory crafters get their dopamine from being "the discord guy", and so they dislike when someone challenges what they say is the "absolute truth". Just typical loser behavior.
Quazii you are doing the lords work with these interviews. I’ve met SO many ppl that want to do M+ but don’t because of misguided info and stuff like anxiety. Keep these up plz! ❤
As much as I respect guys like Max, I hear from them so much and know and have heard what they’ve said. Fresh takes like a pro who knows a class SO deeply is a very interesting interview, and I don’t even play DK. Keep up this fresh content!
One thing I always find in games is that the best players are often super intelligent people. Not remotely surprised to find out this off-meta Mythic+ machine is a well-spoken engineer in real life.
As someone who's favourite tank has been bdk since cata, i love his guide and appreciate his work so much. Even on seasons that i dont touch dk much and play just couple of keys on it for fun, i always check his guide! Thank you for all your work Kyrasis
My wife isn't a gamer, but she has watched WoW videos with me since I started the game about 20 years ago. This is the first time she has commented on how clear and eloquent Kryasis spoke. It is an excellent video.
The BDK discord is hostile and anti-Kyrasis due to a disagreement over his Advanced BDK Guide published on google publicly. It seems many of the BDKs view Kyrasis' guide as being inaccurate in any ways. No idea what or why exactly. BDK discord is quite toxic and I have always wondered what the disagreement exactly is about.
@@mitchruby4716 KSM is pretty free, even for somewhat casual players. If those people can't get it even at the end of season, their opinion is completely invalid. Just for reference, I played early season SL1 before all the sets came out on a laptop that could run on an average of like 15 fps, 30 if it went well and 5 if there was a lot of clutter. I did KSM in the first 3 weeks. Since then I got a brandnew PC that would run at a solid 200+ and it's literally not even comparable on how easy KSM for SL S3 up to now has been. Can't imagine watching guides, sitting in a discord for your class and still struggling with that.
@@mitchruby4716 Youre high if you think those people arent getting KSM, that shit is not hard to get. For some reason people think ksm and 2700+ io is hard/good
Class discords are filled to the brim with anti-social nerds and know-it-alls - just the medium and setting that attracts them in this case - who cannot stand when others do not share their point of view or do not agree with their number crunching. Do yourself a favor and leave them to their spreadsheets, let them continue mining salt 🧂 instead of getting titles.
The best thing you can do when pugging aside from doing your best is to notice good attitudes. Add people who do well under pressure and take responsibility vs complaining and being toxic. This helps build a list of people who you easily progress with later in the season.
In mist it use to be a permanent amount of health past your max hp. I remember I was being healed in a raid and I had to ask the healers to stop. I had enough of a shield to tank all the bosses. Blood boil use to stack too. So you would spam it and around 100 stacks you would out dps the whole raid.
(can someone help me? which addon / option is in the gameplayfootage the "pressed skills" over Kyrasis Icon ? in the left corner. i dont know how to search for it on google tbh.) Incredible good video! i startet BloodDK in TwW and love him. I was searching for a good guide to get everything clear, cus i often fell a bit overwhelmt from the amount of buttons and ressource managments. Thanks Quazii and Kyrasis :)
Funny I also play(ed) warlock and kinda switched to DK. Found his google doc guy and that's been the number 1 resource. I got a guardian druid too mainly for gathering, but I've tanked with him too. In comparison, the bear is easy mode...blood is more fun and engaging, but dang there's soooo many buttons to press and it feels like you need lots of caffeine. Bear is chill to play, does more damage, and feels more consistent with HP not bouncing like crazy. My 2 cents is the DK can do fine, but you need a really good player who is also focused...what doesn't feel right is other tanks can do just as good or better without the effort. I tried some higher keys and it basically feels like you're just going to die if you don't use cooldowns, mess up some of your 'plate spinning,' and/or don't get that death strike off.
Im struggling with stat priority. Does blood dk need crit? It gives a little parry chance which is alright in my mind. But wouldnt it make more sense to go mastery heavy for more shields and healing?
I also quit in Cata, went from maining a blood dk to playing warlock/mage lol. Tried going back to blood dk a little bit ago and it is miles different than it used to be. But then of course it used to be a DPS spec so even this isn't the largest change.
This is literally the first high level player I've heard correctly say "meta classes are good at high and low keys". So many times streamers will be like "yea it only matters in high keys", no it only matters to YOU in high keys. Meta classes/comps are x% better than non-meta classes/comps, period. At any level (unless the difference requires some high level gameplay which is almost never the case). So the advantage is felt at all levels, maybe even moreso at lower levels where a built in strength can outshine gameplay.
It's just a matter of phrasing and what you exactly mean by "matter". Are they going to do better? Yes. But when people say it doesn't "matter" it implies that if you don't play them you can still do those lower keys just fine and not be stuck.
that is absolutely untrue as some classes' value only shines when they are put in high keys, you cannot throw out a statement that broad if you don't know what makes classes meta/not meta, kyrasis is a beast but what he said is a total lie lmfao augvoker is absolute dogwater on anything below like a 12 because you just don't need all that utility, nothing is ever going to kill you anyway so might as well just bring a proper 3rd dps to kill things much faster boomie/sp/fmage in df were awful in low keys because things would be at 50% health by they time they finished their ramp unless every single dps was playing one of those specs or an augvoker but at that point you could literally just run like idfk 3 fury wars and youd kill every pack 25% faster whilst still being completely immortal bc its a low key
Mandi crying and saying in blood disc that kyrasis not playing correctly when Mandl can't even back it up in game. Power tripping in the discord whenever someone plays not his way
I think interesting decision about Augmentation could be: We need to get rid of one of his 2 especially broken things (1 - huge buff to survivability of all party and 2 - buff to tank and healer) and make another one less exclusive. All aug's other stuff isn't really that special. Lots of CC, party shield every 2 minutes and special stuff like dispells? It isn't really much more than shaman or mage have for example. since noone else buffs tanks and healers getting rid of that part is an easier option. so what about all party survivability: make so the buffs to survivability don't stack. I.E. If you have a paladin, a priest, a druid and an evoker, only one of their buff may be active. All of them have good and bad sides. Priest may have the best buff against literal oneshot but it's also more HP to heal. Paladin reduces damage but not as much. Druid gives even less pure survivability but verse also increases dmg and heal. And evokers have their way of smth between priest and druid. A bit of HP a bit of verse sometimes. Then a slot that is always be reserved by aug would still reserved but by 4 CLASSES instead of 1 spec which is totally ok (since usually meta is no more than like 10 specs anyways). And ye that survivability should probably go from spec to class talents. At least one part of it.
does Mandl even make his character publically known? yeah like others said, I'm probably gonna go with the guy that actually shows he knows what hes doing
