"And your Lord (Allah) revealed to the bees: Build your *hives in mountains* , trees and in what they build. Then *eat (for females) from every fruit* and *follow (for females) your Lord's enslaved paths* , from its bellies (بُطُونِهَا) exits drink of different colors, in it healing for man. These are signs for those who contemplate."
There are 2 facts mentioned in this verse which are miraculous since it was unknown to the arab people yet it was known to an illiterate shepherd living in the desert of saudi arabia 1400 years ago
1. Bee do build hive in mountains , rocks etc- which is rare and usually can only be found in himalaya mountains and east africa.
2. The worker bee who collect necttar and make honey is female bee. the verse specifically mentioned that only female bee is doing the work.

Honey, the World's oldest drug. I don't eat it but I do think it will sell nicely. I installed my first beehives yesterday, and I am already looking forward to the brood, which is what bears and I are after. While everybody else loves honey. Win-win situation.

How could you possibly know that they have no conscious sense of ownership. Every living creature has a conscious, they are all aware the same as us. But not all species are like us in the sence that we only lookout for ourselves, take and destroy only what will benefit us. The bees here are building together to support everyone else and are willing to die to protect their creation.
They've been doing it longer than us, but they have no concious sense of ownership. As humans we are aware of ownership, 'This is might', 'That is his'; bees have no such awareness. They don't feel indignant at the 'theft' of their honey, as they're not even aware that they're working in concert for the good of the hive - inasmuch as a bee is aware of anything at all, it's just acting on instinct and pheromones, it has no sense of, 'This is for the good of the colony, the queen, and the larvae'.

When you take a hive down, leaving part of it is not a sure thing for the bees to rebuild because you don't know where the queen is. If the queen is not in that Hive, the bees will not rebuild they will swarm towards your bucket. How do you avoid that?
The bees won't swarm towards your bucket as bees swarm to mate. And the harvesters don't care if the bees die or not, that is why these bees are disappearing. Of course the queen is at the bottom with new cells, that is where her work is at.
i dont like the title "steal." they should use hunt or something else.
