I have owned a 2005 rubicon since new. Very reliable machine. I keep it well maintained. It has never left me stranded . I doubt my 2022 outlander will last that long reliably.
@@SL40cal d1 is for higher speeds. D2 gives you more torque at lower speed . I use d2 when towing heavier trailers or hauling logs . I don’t plow snow with it but I would use d2 if I did and I would consider using low range to plow snow. I used low range on my old yamaha big bear when plowing the driveway but it was a a 350 cc and manual .
Great video as always. We need to blow up the likes and the comments section. Someone argue with me. I say polaris is best canned ham can stay in the trailers.
That is a brand new honda yet i got two 2003 350s one got 65000 km all original except the engine and brakes and the other got 35000 both used as farm bikes still get used every day cant kill them they are great bikes still like my old 300 king quad the best
The Rubicon's are great machines i had a 01- 02 red one like that was my favorite hunting utility atv the full time 4x4 and no PS got old sometime compared to PS model ATV'S now
Nothing like a Honda ! Got the TRX 90 squared away i mentioned a few days ago & the warrior 1/2 done before having to go back to work for the week . Great content !
Love these videos. They relate to the common maintenance that needs to be done. Do you think that the rear differential needs new seals? I have been finding on my 20+ year old machines that most need new differential seals by now. Cant wait for the updated 600 grizzly video.
Trying to help the algorithm. Looks identical to the one the guy gave me for free that I worked on for him. The low range first gear is nice and low but a sportsman 500 would outpull one of these easily. Weight and 3x4 was a big difference. Could hold the front brake on a bit to lock the front end.
@Mud_N_Suds Yes we got about 15” here as well. Some places further south in VT got almost 30” Glad to hear you enjoy the videos and thanks for subscribing!
Able to ship parts to Nova Scotia? Can’t seem to find a rear engine cover for a 98 foreman 450 S, u joint broke and pinched the output shaft seal, can’t find one down here anywhere
Have you ever thought of taking one of your spare bikes down to the frame and rebuilding it the best as possible with what you have like a budget build or even just a budget resto that you don’t have much into but can make a bit off of
I need help or advice where to start my dad has Honda Foreman es that will not start off the key but you can pull start it then you shift it in to gear and it will not shift out of gear or in to any other gear u manually have to put it back in to neutral
7k miles. That's absolutely weak compared to the highest mileage quad I have ever seen. On the KingQuad facebook group i saw someone posted a KingQuad 500 as a farm quad in New Zealand with 31,000 MILES. absolutely stunning.
Hey I just recently did a top end on my foreman 450. Now the motor won’t rev out and back fires through carb. Do you have any ideas on what it could be?
just my opinion.. honda front drum brakes are not worth putting and time or money into when u can get the super atv disc brake conversion for $230 shipped specially is they use it in the mud and water all the time... ive have done this conversion to many hondas by far the best thing you can do if u want to stop

Bought a 2001 Rubicon mint condition for hunting getting to stand and plowing driveway. Would you primarily run it D1 or D2 for that type of work?

That’ll start something for sure! Haha
I almost argued against you until I realized you say Polaris is better, I don’t trust can-ams to save my life
Great work as usual Rock! You do great work and always seem to have the best interest of the customer.
Thanks appreciate that!

I had no idea those Hondas held so much oil. I definitely like it take a lot longer for the oil to break down.
Howdy duty from indiana. A video on a sunday must be a sign.

I’ve done the front brake trick on quite a few of these limited slip front diffs. Can’t beat a AWD system or a fully locked front diff.
Hey Rock did you get any snow from yesterday's storm we got 15in in upstate NY, love your video new subscriber here

im havin trouble with mine it surges i guess (limps ) the engine not running bad its just the power.
Do you count the turns when taking apart the carb mixture screw? What do you do when your not sure of the original position?

31,000 miles is very impressive!

I need some parts for a rubicon 500 Honda matic ! Let me know if you got one for parts
What parts do you need for it?
That old gas probably wasn't helping starting.

There nothing wrong with the way it started its a honda it has a primer for when they sit for prolonged period
Personally not a big fan of the yellow color but its hard to not trust a honda.
Rock, is Milwaukee 2854- 20 compact impact torque strong enough? The battery is only 1.5 ?
Rock i have same year but green. Is the Milwaukee 2854-20 a good impact to use on my machine, power?
