Now this is definitely not how it's supposed to work. But it sure is crazy to see negative damage numbers. I've just been enjoying the Eclipse + Dashwire augment interaction to get the Tombfinger or Shedu up in damage. My major takeaway here is that I need to use more CC instead of CD on my weapons.
I'm actually gonna cast another vote for "doesn't need nerf". We already have other easy damage cap options that aren't getting nerfed (such as Zephyr Target Fixation). This trick is kinda cute, but it actually takes quite a while before it stacks enough to be really nutty. That means that its only impressive in endless content...which currently gives zero incentive over the alternative. In the vast majority of missions its just not game-breaking, and where it is its doing no harm.
I tested this today on 6/26/2023 and it does not work.. patched! don't waste you time doing this like I did. wish someone would have clearly stated this as a curtesy update hence why I am commenting now.

Don't have the augment myself, so I can't test it to find out how the stacked buffs apply to one another, but; If they apply linearly, just being added on top of one another (most likely) and you recast dashwire every single time you kill an enemy, you would end up with 25,600% critical damage from the augment. If the application is multiplicative, each buff scaling off of the current total bonus, and you fulfill the same condition regarding molt augmented, you would end up with %37,582 CD from the augment. Pair that with Prowl's stealth and headshot damage bonuses, and Ivara once again proves herself to be the ultimate boss slayer.
Still works? I used to use this build when the video was released but haven't really played since and thinking of coming back. If anyone sees this comment I would really appreciate an answer 🙂
i thought it was gonna use her 4 augment bcus it has rlly high range potential and no falloff like balecharger and was gonna joke that that its bad actually bcus u have to hit headshots
can probably change the build for more range and use it on grineer which is more easy for headshot, sadly at the moment HM and IB doesnt trigger with artemis bow

holy MOLY that's a lot of damage. Last time I saw damage like that was waaay back in the day when banchee was considered one of the best crit frames. I feel like this is gonna get nerfed now though, because DE is literally the fun police.
Hey , do you know if you can reproduce the same without molt augment , and just energy conversion ( i just wonder if you can infinite stack it with grabbing energy orbs ) or do i need a permament ability strenght increase so the dashwire stacks ? Asking cuz i want make the build more flexiable by adding arcane avanger+ arcane reaper instead of molt efficiency

Tried this a few times now and followed the steps verbatim but it does not work, seems you never keep that initial CD buff that is spoken about so it never stacks with your next wire. Playing on playstation 4 (dont know if that makes a difference)

So can you hop down from the first dashwire to get more powerstrength or not? Tested with Roar but the effect is still minimal. My rotation is dashwire > jump down > empowered wellspring > kill enemies with AoE weapon > jump up first dashwire > cast second dashwire > jump down > kill enemies > empowered wellspring > jump up second dashwire > cast third dashwire > repeat Still oneshot lv.400 acolyte with Nataruk tho.
Roar isn't ability strength increase so I don't think it helps. Roar is a final more damage modifier. You literally need NOTHING other than a single molt augmented for this to work. Yes, even a single rank 0 molt augmented. Grab it for 5p off the market. And here's what you do: 1. Power Strength and Efficiency on your Ivara, slap Empowered Quiver on. 2. Dashwire and hop on. 3. Kill an enemy. 4. Dashwire (recommended that you just stack Dashwire together on the same spot because it doesn't matter which wire you hop on or off) 5. Hop off and immediately back on, doesn't matter which wire. 6. Repeat from step 3. By doing this, I was able to boost the damage of an Euphona Prime shot on a full stripped, 10 viral stacks enemy from 64k to 165 million, on a **RANK ZERO EMPOWERED QUIVER BECAUSE I FORGOT TO RANK IT UP** 💀

It feels oddly specific in timing, so just make sure to take a step or two before jumping up again. Also, be careful with your wires. If you accidentally jump on the wrong one, the buff breaks a little. You want to only ever use the newest wires.

Wait question. I casted a wire(using the trumna) hoped on it got about 5 kills and casted another wire while on a wire. I hoped down and jumped on the newly casted wire, but I didn't see a change. Do I just keep repeating the steps until I see big numbers or am I doing something wrong? And do I have to get headshots to get big numbers?
I tested this FEW hours after he posted, and it didn't work with maxed molt augmented or other ability strenght buffs. Either it was fixed really quick or it works in specific scenarios.

its a linear scaling, and how mucb ot gives is also depending on the based CD of your weapon, 2 to 3 makes a huge gap after all these multipling
