I have over 5k hours played and every gun, warframe etc in this game and I swear to god I cannot bring myself to seriously engage with the riven system. I have rolled a total of maybe 100 times between all my rivens but it is so insultingly hopeless, extremely random and it takes so long even by Warframe standards that I can't bring myself to do it. I don't mind farming for some time to achieve something but spending an ungodly amount of time for the high chance of leaving empty handed? DE needs to work on this system and I completely agree on the capacity of locking stats or something of the sort, this is one of the most unfun mechanics in the game.
If you desire a specific combination of stats, go to wfm or aleca, search for exact one like that, there is a chance it exists. That is my experience having things that i cant control in this game. If i have a good price riven, i would just sell it then buy something else later that I want to be perfect.
As for today, i want a latron riven with multi, sc, puncture, any neg. I do have latron riven myself but i just cant have the exact combination of these. Its hopeless to roll for that. So i bought it from someone else who think its not as good as I think, so i get a quite decent price for it. I just dont think whatever ppl call 'god roll' then set an unrealistic price for it, I just build my weapon to do a specific thing, not random cc/cd/multi god roll, its just brainless.
Rivens are still usable even as a Casual that sticks to the minimum investment. Just go for Stats that can replace a Mod in your finished build of the weapon of your choice. Doesn‘t always need to be a god roll. Only reroll rivens until the cost hits 3500 kuva then stick to whatever roll you got or sell it. Pretty casual in my opinion and they are literally for free and add on to very creative and individual builds

My idea for riven stat locking, make a new kaul quest to unlock a new vendor related to the kuva fortress to fit it in with the subject. Then the vendor tax for stat locking can involve riven slivers,stock and possibly kuva. Or can even do a investment tax system to invest a load of stuff to perma lock a stat (but then if you perma lock 1 stat or more,it makes the riven untradeable)
That untradeable idea helps keep some market balance but can help encourage people to do some of their own rolling since they can hard lock specific stats

Second, things have potential to make money or DE banking on will get QoF treatment first, anything else won't t even in plan. Just said when will an unpopular warframe guarantee receiving a rework ? When new skin come out. Nyx, Trinity, etc etc you just witness that youself. Not even said do you think DE dare find a way to make money from Riven gambling? That will be a huge PR disaster especially for riven the biggest plat casino where lucky folks printing their money.

Weather it a limit to how much of “special resource” need to hard lock can be earned per week or make it so can only lock 1 stat. 2nd if worried so much about that untradable part, then scrap the thought. Or theres even the though if making a riven stat lock makes it a new mod rarity which can then be tier to guess what slots (you’ll need to buy) if want to exceed the base slot capacity if lets say 5. Back to the thought of a special resource with limit sourcing, that can just help raise the value because lets just say with melee rivs a common trend i see for a fair chunk is people wanting electric on the riv
I think if you could lock stats you get on a riven to persist through riven rolls that would be a huge improvement over the current system and would also make rivens a little more affordable to the average player. The balance would be to either 2x or 3x the riven rolls cost per locked stat.

How about being able to exchange stats from similar weapon rivens? move -zoom from one riven to the other one with a bad negative like -damage to infested etc.
@noahedenborg4221 just because I try it and it does not work does not mean I know how to build correctly. And there are loads of updates that change thing look at gas, whent from bad to good to bad and now back to good.

If you wondering what crazy people will buy those overpriced mods my answer is whole lot of and not even said TC community is relatively small for entire warframe community even back when. I guess DE really don't dare touch riven market😅.

Resurgence is an utter abomination for the prime vaulting market. It was kinda necessary to a certain extent with how many frames there are now, but my god primes rarely go above 100-120 plat now. It's actually depressing to see because now it feels hardly even worth it to save prime frames for very long. Its way too hit or miss now. Only resurgence thing I've farmed recently was a bunch of glaives, which luckily that still seems to be worth saving, but 90% of shit now barely rises in price.
I don't even bother with rivens anymore, the game is so fucking easy now even at 9999 what's the point. The power creep is so out of control now what is a riven really going to do for me? Kill a mob with 10x the damage it takes instead of 8x?
Locking stats is a bad idea. It would betray the trust of all those people who spent all their time and plat to collect Grolls. I have like 4000 riven slivers. It would be nice if I could do something with the slivers. Why delete Pathocyst? Old video or mistake?
I mean I never have 30 riven slivers for each week. I get lucky if I see 20 in a week. Don’t forget you’re not free to play knightmare if you don’t want such an abundance of slivers stop buying booster prime access bundles.
@@Actixst good for you i rarely ever have 10. point is this slivers to lock stats is a completely unfair design. ya yall shouldnt have nothing to spend your abundance of slivers on but most players that are free to play dont ever have enough slivers to buy both rivens and 35000 kuva. very VERY rarely like once every other month can i buy full with the slivers and then have maybe 2 or 3 remaining to start next weeks count. but the fact remains that if this system goes into effect its only gunna hurt a huge majority of the community rather than help them. on my ps account i have a riven with 600 rerolls thats not 1000 but its still over 1000000 kuva and dont have the ++- that i want. kuva rerolling needs a rework but using slivers to lock stats just isnt the play.
i have 1.8mill kuva and lik 40+ of each type of riven i need to open. besides zaw and kitgun i just melt those into 50 endo lol. Also the fact he didnt know new weapons get .5 dispo... like how did u not know that. DE needs the user data to give a proper disposition. that takes time. usually 3 months for new weapons to get updated dispo
