I’ve been doing rope flow for about two months and heavy clubs for almost a year, just tried these moves for the first time. Man, were they challenging! Although I’m familiar with mill and reverse mill from the heavy clubs, this was more challenging. I’m guessing it’s due to the increased lever length and the reverse spin of the rope at the end of the movement. Took me longer than expected to groove the movement pattern, but I think I’ve got it locked in now and really loving it!! ❤
Thanks so much for you comment! Yes there are lots of similarities between rope flow and club swinging. They work very well together as a training modality. Ropes are good to warm up with before swinging clubs! Good luck with your practice
@@RF1_Rotofitness I have been really enjoying both heavy clubs and rope flow. Unfortunately about 2 hours after doing these new drills today, I have intense deep achy pain in my posterior left shoulder. I think I probably just strained it due to overdoing it a bit and having difficulty performing the movement at first (especially on the left). No pain during or immediately after the drills, so I think that’s a good sign. Luckily I’m an acupuncturist and own a wellness center, so I’ll rest it and get some treatment to speed up the recovery :)
Your videos are very useful, thank you. About these single hand flows I was struggling because I was not moving my body but always facing the same direction. After comparing a recorded video with this one I noticed you were moving a lot more than me
Thank you! Yes that's right, the less you rotate the body from side to side, the harder this will actually be to pull off. We want to facilitate some rotation in the trunk as this simulates our natural throwing mechanics and works the slings on the front side of the body. Thanks for your comment and I'm glad you find the videos useful my friend 👍
Hi buddy, The rope in this video is about 450-460g. It's about the same weight as the new Thnderbolt V2 ropes you can find on our site www.spiralflowropes.com. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Superb thank you. Had never thought of flipping the rope direction like that for extra weight
really helpful series

@@RF1_Rotofitness I wish I found your videos time ago. They have the right length and details. Thanks again
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
hi this stuff is great - did you learn it or develop it?
Both. I didn't create it but I have created a few of my own exercises with it
What weight rope do you use?
