Hi Jamie! Great job! The only outfit I would change up is the vest/white tee/socks and loafers. I think ditching the white socks would take it up a notch-maybe from preppy to cool/sophisticated?? Keep the videos coming!
This was a fantastic video. I really appreciate how you styled so many outfits and explained why they did or did not work. I’m looking for this type of jean, so this was perfect timing. Thank you!
Love the espadrille shoes with the crop jeans. I have a pair of the jeans, but really didn’t know how to style them. You have given us some great suggestions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
Very helpful tips, I liked the longer coat in the last style, you given me fun new ideas. Also I noticed the added info windows are getting in the way of the comparison visuals. Thank you for your inspiration and enthusiasm 💕
Loved the longer trench coat. I found a wide leg cropped jean at Chico’s last year and it is my favorite pair of jeans. So comfortable and even though I’m only 5’1, they don’t look frumpy. Love this style! Thanks for all your tips on how to wear them - especially for the shoes.
Thank yo so much for this video. It gave me a lot to think about. I have a pair of SPANX black jean cropped wide leg and wasn’t sure what to do with them. The moto jacket works for me. I have a black lace style. I like the longer maxi coat. Gave me great idea to style mine with these jeans with a beautiful long maxi coat that I have.
I found the video helpful I didn't like the Mary Janes with the crop jeans at all. I was really hoping you would try them with a pair of Chelsea boots. I prefer the longer coat does something a bit more tailored. Love the cropped Blazers and bomber.
I agreed with your re- proportioning with these jeans. Also liked the tonal look striped shirt with the denims AND yes, Jamie, these jeans, do look really attractive on you🤓 PS long trench coat, I think.
I DO love those jeans. I am 5’4” and slim through the hips (rather boyish) like you and I really want a pair now. I just ordered the Amazon ones you found……thank you. I can’t wait to wear them.
I absolutely love cropped wide leg jeans (actually, I just love the cropped length in general)! I have a couple pair of Madewell Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Crop jeans, one in blue denim and the other in a creamy white denim. The Anthro pair you had on are adorable!
I love these kinds of videos Jamie. They are very helpful. We’re going to the UK for 15 days in late summer and I’m trying to plan my wardrobe. I’m not sure wide leg crops will be versatile enough….I have to limit shoes!
A good surprise for me also your video, because yesterday i bought a pair of crop plaid pants!! I wasn't looking for one like this , but i wore and it was so nice on me, so i took it. After i start to think the combination of the jacket!! So your video was perfect!! Only i'm not sure about the length, i must try it now!!!
Thank you! I have a video on my channel that I did last year. I use a different gel now but this would show you how I style it. Here is is: th-cam.com/video/SRGDzUYfXRo/w-d-xo.html
Long coat much nicer...I have a just-below-knee length trench, though. :(. Your videos are soooo good. The side by side comparison is great and your explanations are so clear. Thank you. I'm learning.
Glad I got full length as cropped are trickier but think they’re better if you’re shorter. In general, I think pointier shoes have worked better. My issue is that I got really high waist so tops are tricky but mine has cute pockets like yours that I like to show. Took some getting used to but are so comfortable.
I appreciate the captions too…in my view this time they were blocking the whole look for the majority of time she was showing each outfit. It was different from previous videos! This message was for her in case changed something…. Not for general opinions.
Love wide leg crop pants but I never know where they need to fall on me. I am 5'9" and rarely wear heels (maybe 2" at most). Where on my leg am I aiming for the crop pant to hit? And I prefer the longer trench - more stylish.
I put on my wide leg crop jeans this morning, with a pink sweater and retro sneakers. My first thought was that I kind of looked like you. 😂 great video. Thank you.
I was looking for a pair of cropped pants this morning. They are somewhat of a unicorn for me too as they can look really frumpy. I love these jeans. Thanks for this video.
Hi Jamie! I still can't do the cropped wide legs, but I'm getting used to cropped pants, in general, where I wouldn't even have considered wearing them a couple of years ago! 😅 I loved the long trench coat. Mine is more like the shorter length one you showed. Great video, as always! ❤
i hate no show sox. never stay up. with sneakers does it have to be no show or can it be ankle socks? i love my levi ribcage straight ankle 27 in length. im 5’5. but am not sure how to wear for fall/ winter
This is the topic I have been looking for. The shoes have been my obstacle. I’ve been wearing wedges. I’m 5’6” 165lb and didn’t like the look with flats on me.
I really like your tan and black ankle boots that look stretch square toes and funky heel. May I ask where you got these or the brand? I have foot problems and need a boot like this. Thank you.
I liked the longer trench coat outfit. I am 5'3" with tiny ankles and have not found a pair of this type jeans that I have liked on me. Although, I liked your idea of wearing booties with a small heel that go under the pants. Thanks for the idea.
Thanks for this video, I have 3 pairs. I have a question about the Sam Eldelmen sneakers. Are they a heavy shoe? I like the look, just concerned about the walk ability. Thanks
You are so welcome! They are a tad bit heavier than your average sneakers but I don't find they to be what I would consider a heavy shoe like my lug sole loafers are! I find them very comfortable to walk in.
I think a half inch or full inch shorter in the crop would have been slightly better. I think they are just a tad too long to look cropped. I’m going for a wide leg trouser for fall to wear with a low heal ankle boot and I think an inch shorter looks more intentional and not accidental.
Ooh….I love the Anthropologie jeans too. I see you are wearing a size 26. I usually wear what you wear (I’m also 5’4”) and my size is mostly a 25. Also I can’t wear petite because it usually cuts me in the crotch, maybe because I’m higher waisted. Do you think standard is ok? Please let me know your thoughts on all. Thanks.
I got the 26P and it's a little big but I needed it for the length. You may want to try the 24 and 25 regular. I tried the 25 regular, and it was a little long and a little big. They stretch out as well. You may want to just try the petite and see. I can't usually wear petite either.
I got the petite in a size up from my normal. I purchased a 26P. They are a little roomy on me but the perfect length so I kept them. I tried the regular in a 25 and it was too long on me.
Hi Jamie, I do love the longer trench coat with the cropped jeans. I have flared cropped jeans and I like them with my flats and my Mary Jane’s, it looks cute, but I also like them with my booties.
This is one of those styles I can appreciate and like on other people...just not for me. I feel a wider legged crop makes me look dumpy. I'm not short with an average height of 5'6 and not overweight but still I feel dumpy. They look great on you though and you put together some cute outfits. Enjoyed watching.
I love this trend with boots. They are gaucho pants. You are not short. You are average. If you wear 3 inch heels you would be standard height. I won’t wear flats with them. Just boots look nice with these kind of pants. Especially the corduroy material goes well in this fashion of pants, only with boots.
Why many women look good with tucked tops but I look and feel bad? My figure is not that terrible. Maybe it's because I'm top-heavy and have a short torso? I have tis type of jeans and like them but find it difficult to pair with tops because I don't like too short blouses.
These outfits look fantastic on you! I love the side by side comparison. This style is not for me though. Loafers with white socks and shorter wide leg pants remind me of Michael Jackson. I am 5’5”, very slim and 55+ but still do not feel comfortable in wide leg crops. My formative years were styled in tapered leg crops which is my comfort zone. I also favor low to mid rise. Wide legs feel like I’m wearing clown pants. The sound of pants legs making noise when I walk also bothers me.
Any garment that visually shortens my legs is a "no", although at 5'1" these jeans could well be full length on me? Garments that are hard to style are also a "no". The one outfit I'd consider is the cohesive sandwich look with your lovely plaid blazer and brown boots, which could also be achieved by sandwiching a cropped jacket with boots in the same colour family.
Yes, they might be full length, lol! You could always have them hemmed with the original Hem. I found these pretty easy to style compared to others I have tried. I'm glad you would consider that outfit!
I swore I would never do cropped. But, after a summer of seeing so many women (of all ages) looking so cool, I bought two high-rise stretchy pairs, a straight slimmish pair of Citizens of Humanity and a wide flare raggedy-edge pair of Mother. (It's all about the bum in my book!) While I will have no problem styling the straight leg, I'm wondering about the wider pair. I have no problem finding balance/proportion on the body. I tuck, wear closer-fitting tops, etc. But footwear!!! Winter is coming to Toronto and I need to wear socks! I have sock booties with heels, various heights, for those occasions when I won't have to walk much. But I live in a big city where I walk a lot to get to the bank, drugstore, market, meet friends for coffee etc. I hate chunky loafers. I hated loafers as a teen in the 60s and still hate them. I also feel that they look ridiculous on my 5'2" inch body. I have flat tall boots but it's still too warm to wear those. I have a pair of black patent leather platform sneakers and a white regular leather. But somehow... So I am stymied. Maybe I should look for skintone socks. Hope you're all safe from these hurricanes!
I’m very petite - 5’2” at most and a size US 2 or 25 in jeans - and I love a cropped wide leg. I wear them very high-waisted and wear tops with them that I can tuck in or that are cropped so that my waist is exposed. That creates a longer line that appears to elongate my legs, and I have a small waist so exposing it makes me look thinner. I also have the hem hit at a point that exposes the thinnest part of my ankle, which again makes me look slimmer and makes my legs look a bit longer. I wear them with both flats and heels, but if I wear a flat I’ll go for a pointy toe because, again, it visually creates a longer line. At my height, if I don’t follow these rules a wide-legged cropped trouser or pair of jeans makes me look short and stumpy. It’s probably less trouble to wear a different silhouette at my height - I do need to find ideal “Goldilocks” wide-legged cropped trousers or jeans or else undertake the expense of professional alterations- but they really are comfortable to wear and show off my shoes (and I’ve invested a lot of time and money in my shoes, so they’re an important part of my wardrobe).
I love the pants on you. I am only 5' 2" so they would probably not work for me. I love the blouse you are wearing as you narrate the video just anyway, but I it was also my favorite with the wide leg jeans. I honestly don't care for either of the trench coats. They are just too boxy with the wide legs and your frame is so small. I loved all the shorter jackets you paired with them though.
You can absolutely do that but sometimes the original hem can be a bit heavy on something like a wide leg. If you can find the right length otherwise I think that's best but I know that's not always available. Thanks for the tip!
I love everything except the socks with the loafers.
LOVE that blue/white stripe blouse!
As for the Trench coats - I’m with you. The longer is much better! ❤️🙏🏻
Thank you! I'm glad you agree!
Me too 😂😂😂😂😂cute!!!
The top you are wearing in the video is awesome! Any links to that?

Thank you for taking the time to show the side by sides/comparisons. They make the point 🙂
For sure the long coat. Thank you.
I love the long trench coat. It looks fabulous 😊
Thank you!😃

That's great! I'm so glad it was helpful!
Great video the maxi coat looked so much better
Thanks!
I LOVE the last shirt! So classy looking!
Thank you!
I kind of like the loose-shirt look.
Love the espadrille shoes with the crop jeans. I have a pair of the jeans, but really didn’t know how to style them. You have given us some great suggestions. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
I'm so glad you found this helpful! Thanks so much!
Very helpful tips, I liked the longer coat in the last style, you given me fun new ideas. Also I noticed the added info windows are getting in the way of the comparison visuals. Thank you for your inspiration and enthusiasm 💕
Thanks for the feedback. I took most of them out and when I reviewed it they were not show like that. I am glad I could fix them!
The cropped blazer and espadrilles was my favorite ❤
The short jacket and espadrilles is quite cute
Thank you!
I have been waiting for this video. It’s So Very helpful! As a petite person I can use all these tips.
I am so glad! Thanks for watching!
Love the striped shirt outfit on you the best!! Long trench definately. Thx for the inspo
I like the long trench coat better! 😊
Thanks!
love the maxi trench with the outfit!
I am not a cropped jacket fan but have to admit it is the most flattering option with these cropped jeans. I may have to pick up one this Spring.😊

Great video/topic, thank you very much for the side by side visuals!!! I love the outfit you are wearing 💙 I prefer the longer trench.
I wore gauchos in the 70s. I still think of the wide leg crop as a variation of the gaucho. It gives me another vibe for them.
Thanks for sharing!
I liked the espadrilles the best. Thank you for covering how to style these pants 👖. Great ideas!

Really love the cropped jacket! And your striped shirt is really cool!
Thank you for all the inspiration, I need to dig out my cropped jeans. 😉
A bit frustrating when the ad window covers you. Mostly your shoes but this was a big part of this post!
I really sorry about that. It's something new on TH-cam and I went and took most of them out. Thanks for your feedback!
I found the video helpful I didn't like the Mary Janes with the crop jeans at all. I was really hoping you would try them with a pair of Chelsea boots. I prefer the longer coat does something a bit more tailored. Love the cropped Blazers and bomber.

Creates confusion down there .. 😅😂 That made my day!
Haha, I wondered if someone was going to say something about that! 🤣🤣🤣
I absolutely love cropped wide leg jeans (actually, I just love the cropped length in general)! I have a couple pair of Madewell Perfect Vintage Wide Leg Crop jeans, one in blue denim and the other in a creamy white denim. The Anthro pair you had on are adorable!

Your videos and ideas are always smart and sensible in a good fashion-sense way. Very accessible for everyone. Your are also a charming host.
You just made my day! Thank you so much for the compliments! ❤️
This video came at the right time. I picked up a pair of Sam Edelmans and I really love them. Thank you for your tips!
Glad I could help!
Love, love, love your style. The long coat looks best. 🙂
Thank you!
I like the long trench coat 👍🏽
just bought silver sneakers and I love them, but I combine it with the mini silver purse
I love these kinds of videos Jamie. They are very helpful. We’re going to the UK for 15 days in late summer and I’m trying to plan my wardrobe. I’m not sure wide leg crops will be versatile enough….I have to limit shoes!
I'm so glad they are helpful! You should do a straight leg or slim straight, and those will go with almost anything! Have a great time!

Oh, thank you!
Love the silver shoes
Thanks!
good ideas for how to wear my cropped wide legged jeans in the spring! Thanks so much
You're so welcome!
I love your videos. I prefer the long jacket and I would love to see you do a video on styling your hair and what products you use.❤

I have a long trench coat and love it. I’m petite
I liked the T-shirt and vest.
Thanks!
In this video your captions & descriptions were in the way. 😳
They took up some of the time but not all of it!
I appreciate the captions, and they were up for all of 3 seconds !! Jeez
I appreciate the captions too…in my view this time they were blocking the whole look for the majority of time she was showing each outfit. It was different from previous videos! This message was for her in case changed something…. Not for general opinions.
i love that top you have on

That top is beautiful on you! Loved this video. ✨🌼
Thank you!
I put on my wide leg crop jeans this morning, with a pink sweater and retro sneakers. My first thought was that I kind of looked like you. 😂 great video. Thank you.
Hahaha!🤣 You probably did and I would totally wear that!
Great ideas, thank you 😊
I was looking for a pair of cropped pants this morning. They are somewhat of a unicorn for me too as they can look really frumpy. I love these jeans. Thanks for this video.
You are so welcome!

I love your blue and white stripe top! Will you share where you got it, please?
It's from Loft. It should be linked in the description.
Hi, I couldn’t find it at Loft. Is it by chance from Temu?
I liked the long coat best and my favorite outfit was with the striped shirt you filmed in.
Oh great! Thank you!
This is the topic I have been looking for. The shoes have been my obstacle. I’ve been wearing wedges. I’m 5’6” 165lb and didn’t like the look with flats on me.
I hope it was helpful!
@@YourGuideToStyle very helpful, thank you.
I JUST bought a pair from NYDJ that looks exactly like your Anthropologie ones (but probably less expensive), so this is perfect timing!
Oh, I will have to try to find those! Thanks for the feedback!
Loved this video!!!! Great tips, thanks!!
You are so welcome! Thank you!
I really like your tan and black ankle boots that look stretch square toes and funky heel. May I ask where you got these or the brand? I have foot problems and need a boot like this. Thank you.

I have not found the right length for me yet … still looking. I will give Anthropologie a try. Thanks for the tip!
It takes time and effort! I hope they work for you!
I liked the longer trench coat outfit.
I am 5'3" with tiny ankles and have not found a pair of this type jeans that I have liked on me.
Although, I liked your idea of wearing booties with a small heel that go under the pants.
Thanks for the idea.
I hope you can find a pair you like. Petites should work really well for you! Thanks for the feedback and for watching!
I love cropped blazer, I have some 😂😂😂😂😂
Do you have a link for that striped clutch?
Sorry for the delay! Here it is! amzn.to/3TzR8mR
Long one look great on you.
Can you share the long trench coat link ?pls
Where can I find this Jean. Thank you.
They are from Anthropologie! rstyle.me/+OwpNSLZQcro4TwK_YdGpfw
hi what length are the jeans please
Those are a 28 inch I think.
Not sure I see more (crop Jean options besides the anthropology?)
Found em✌🏻
Hi Jamie, did you find the anthropologie jeans true to size? I am 5’4 like you and wondering if I should get the regular and my regular size. Thanks!😁
I got the petite in a size up from my normal. I purchased a 26P. They are a little roomy on me but the perfect length so I kept them. I tried the regular in a 25 and it was too long on me.
I’m also 5”4 and the regular in theses jeans was to long to be cropped.
How about cropped wide length cullotes?
Ok. I think they can be good.
Hi Jamie, I do love the longer trench coat with the cropped jeans. I have flared cropped jeans and I like them with my flats and my Mary Jane’s, it looks cute, but I also like them with my booties.
Thanks for sharing! I like my flared cropped jeans like that as well!
Cute top
Thank you!
This is one of those styles I can appreciate and like on other people...just not for me. I feel a wider legged crop makes me look dumpy. I'm not short with an average height of 5'6 and not overweight but still I feel dumpy. They look great on you though and you put together some cute outfits. Enjoyed watching.
If you feel dumpy, definitely don't wear them, lol! I used to feel like that way too in them.
I’m 5’7 and I’m still a hard No on cropped pants. I still think we looked “ cut off” or shortened legs with cropped pants.
I love this trend with boots. They are gaucho pants. You are not short. You are average. If you wear 3 inch heels you would be standard height. I won’t wear flats with them. Just boots look nice with these kind of pants. Especially the corduroy material goes well in this fashion of pants, only with boots.
Thanks for sharing!
Long coat❤
What is the cropped happy place for most people? Inch above ankle?❤
Mine is a half inch to an inch.
Why many women look good with tucked tops but I look and feel bad? My figure is not that terrible. Maybe it's because I'm top-heavy and have a short torso?
I have tis type of jeans and like them but find it difficult to pair with tops because I don't like too short blouses.
Before look was way better than after with the loafers.
Agree. Couldn't see the hem of the pants . Defeated the purpose of the video
I am not sure why you could not see it. Plus there were images of the jeans that were more close up in the video.
Please tell us abt yr bl + wht striped blouse. Thx.
Tenho uma calça assim mas estou acima do peso e sou baixinha, não me sinto a vontade usando
(It's all about the bum in my book!)
While I will have no problem styling the straight leg, I'm wondering about the wider pair.
Thank you for sharing!
Long trench really worked
I love sock boots 🫶🏼
Thanks!
If it mks me look shorter (I’m 5’2”) I need to opt out
I understand that.
Or hem them to the appropriate length. It’s very easy. Keep the original hem stitching and take it up above that.
You can absolutely do that but sometimes the original hem can be a bit heavy on something like a wide leg. If you can find the right length otherwise I think that's best but I know that's not always available. Thanks for the tip!
