I must say you look rather young to have acquired such a high level of skill. Perhaps you started doing this very young. What a superb craftsman You are.
Why must "West" be mentioned in every video about other people's culture? Why the need to compare it to the west? Is it because the video is in English and likely targeting a western audience? I just feel like I hear this incessant need to always compare everything to the west as if that is the only place to compare to. For an embroidery culture that is more than 1000 years old, the west is a very poor comparison. Many rich cultures very next to you in India have better and older craftsmanship to compare to. Anyway loved the video. Alway happy to learn about cultures around the world.
Marco polo describes embroidery in his journal .for all that Western mention .everything in rennaisance was from the east. India has kagala like sculpture .these are flat and smooth E.BABCOCK
I believe that 'the west' is used as a catch-all term for the countries of the western hemisphere, just as 'the east' is used as a catch-all term for the eastern hemisphere. It is simply a form of linguistic shorthand.
