Love the music from this show, created by the great Stephen Schwartz. I think the Choir and tenor did a masterful job. The musicians were excellent too.
Always loved this song, I grew up on Godspell. We sang this in our "Folk Group" full harmonies, finger picked guitars, etc. My eyes flooded with tears for some of those friends and others from my old parish are no longer with us, and memories of that time rushed back to me. This was beautiful,
Good to see choirs back in action. Always loved the music from Godspell! But showing my age, remember singing we plough the fields and scatter in chapel for harvest festival but this wasn't the music we sang to. More traditional.
This Morgan Mastrangelo has a set of pipes that exude energy, power and emotion. Love this song. I've seen Godspell about three times in my life over a period of 30 years. I discovered this song was originally a hymn but I like the Godspell version as well or better than the original.
Morgan Mastrangelo sang a song Merell Jackson sang in the movie, but he gives off some serious Victor Garber vibes. Blame the hair and tenor lol :D , as Victor in his youth had both:) Jokes aside, I totally loved it.
Thank you 5th Ave Pres.
We Catholics have to bring this song and type of gospel music to our masses-
What a beautiful talented soloist, chorus, musicians, and what an inspiring song!
Beautiful! I’m glad to see these songs continue to be performed in church settings and not just in theaters. ❤

Incredible tone by this guy. So pure. Love it.
Beautiful!!! Sung at my wedding back in 1977

It's also sung to a Dutch hymn tune. "Wie Pfluge"

tUTTI bRAVI!!!
The brunette has eyes for the singer.
I always thought it was a mistake to have a bass sing this. It becomes way too legitimate sounding. I was right. Great job.
Sheeesh! 😫 It’s filmed in 2023 and one girl’s still wearing a Covid mask. 🤦🏼♂️ …while singing.🤷🏼♂️
Nice work! Merell's calibre is still greater. Not that anyone is comparing.
Original, move over. You've got competition.
