I have been reloading for getting close to 15 years now, And the last 2 years have been monumental in advancement in the quality of the way I approach loading. From Satterlee's latter building for a node, to Erik. We do tend to over complicate the process. I know they get paid for their video's, but they are driven from their love of this hobbie. And we appreciate it, very much!

Its great to hear someone else gets frustrated when shooting. I shoot AR platforms and shoot 2in groups at 500 yards but if I don't I get so down on myself. Even if I miss a coyote that's on a dead run at 200 yards I get so frustrated. I absolutely loved this interview to listen to other people get frustrated! I always want to be the best for myself! I went to a 1000 yards and trying for 3 in groups almost have it but still on 4in.

I am a long time subscriber to Ultimate Reloader and Gavin has been my guiding light for reloading. I recently "discovered" Eric Cortina and have ordered one of his EC Tuners for a rebuild I'm working on with a 308 Ruger American Predator. It includes the Oryx Chassis System and was glad to see Eric selected the same for his "builds". As an 80 yo retiree, my goal is to develop hobbies that don't require a lot of physical strength, but still provide the challenges I enjoyed in my working life, i.e. overcoming obstacles to get in the win column. Great interview!!

Hi Gavin, I've been watching you, Erik C. and listening to the interviews with Jack Neary. Been learning a lot from you all. I got started about 2.5 yrs ago into reloading because I stopped using 12g shotguns for hunting and when going to rifles there were zero ammunition available. Only gun available to me was a savage 6.5 cm. With reloadi ng I quickly got hooked with getting the tightest groups I can get. I now have many hunting rifles and find myself chasing 1 hole groups at 100yds. (Hard to find range longer than that here.) 100 yds is completely boring any more. I so appreciate the info from you all. I may have found a place to shoot out to 400. Can't wait.... Thank you all so much.

First video of Erik's that I saw was "Stop neck sizing". His channel wasn't very active back then. After watching that vid. TH-cam suggested "Texas Barndominiuns". Coming from a construction background, I was interested, and watched that channel avidly. I had been wondering what ever happened. Thos interview shed light on that question, obviously.
I actually live one county west of Erik. I'm glad to see him doing so well.

And every other just in case advantage one can come up with. The best scales to .0001 what about weighing bullets to the 1000th. Even checking ogive tolerance's to the same. That's archery, LR F- Class is another story. 50 shooters on page 1 US Nationals, Best shooters in the nation and a few from around the world. Point separation from 1st to 50th is about 3 to 6 points for the entire four days of shooting three days of individual scores. X count is what separates shooters in groups of three, five, and about seven shooters with the same score but being ranked by X count.
You can take the best shooter in the nationals and give them the "worst" equipment. and they won't make the first page. You might be able to do that in PRS or NRL where the targets are as big as an 8 Ring but you will not do that in F class.

You’re not doing anything in archery shooting suspect non tuned equipment. Sorry that you think that.
Also shooting indoor at 25yards is worlds apart from shooting 3” groups at 1000yards. Like in shooting rifles, none of the guys shooting and winning in archery are shooting subpar equipment. The idea here is getting every small advantage ironed out, outside your shooting abilities. If you can’t see the difference in a $300 bow and $1500 dollar bow… then you’re a $300 shooter.

I dare you to actually shoot the group real and not just have some hiles punched in paper by pencil and show some weird pc screen... I mean zoom in and show it... i get tired of people who talk more than shoot and extrapolate their skill. It's like vortex all of the sudden everyone is some expert. I get it he's a great shot more power to him but I'm still calling bullshit...does he even compete at a thousand

If you can do that you can shoot sub moa at 200 offhand with irons no problem ... I dare you to try that with standard m4 carry handle sight and fsp
