the Matrox/3DFX combo was the absolute best you could get back in those days.

Nice, not an AWE 32 btw, but a Sound Blaster 32 card, the 32 is a slightly lower end card from the AWE 32.

Dio mio di tutta la mia strepitosa infanzia nerd (sono 91) e di tutto quello che potrei dire e ricordare, quanta nostalgia in un logo che non vedevo da oltre 25 anni: 0:18

Your build does have 3dfx from 1997 variant, 3dfx voodoo1 was widely popular in 1997, it has its release date at the end of 1996 but only two variants was available Onich Righteous 3d 4mb and Diamond Monster 3D. Diamond release their cards in 96/97

Great looking build. I just ordered a 4mb voodoo. I've never had a 3dfx card before. Looking forward to trying it out!

You’ll love it. I have a voodoo 3 but I’ve been looking to get an older voodoo 1 pc.

Great video! It could run faster fi you could find a "cache on a stick" (the brown slot next to CPU) for the motherboard. I own a slower (120MHz OC to 133MHz) CPU but similar MB (430FX "Triton" chipset), 2x32MB EDO RAM SIMM, S3 Trio64V2/DX 2MB, and the original long version of AWE32, with SD adapter replacing HDD. It's not capable of playing 3D games but runs DOS / Windows 3.1 games and apps quite well, and it can even run Windows 98 SE if necessary.

Hello. Thank you for the great video. Could you please tell me where can I download drivers and software for a CT3670 for Win95?

ahh the fastest pentium in 1996 was the 133MHz. the 200 did not come out until 1997

I'd better go with proper 97 voodoo1 build including mmx cpu for the first time which gives extra firepower for 3d rendering, also awe64 in 97 is good option and millennium 2

Last generation of 486DX2 had better performances than pentium 😉
