    I'm glad you brought up the cheap aspect. I will never understand people who spend several thousand on bicycle frames and parts just for name brands. I mean I get it if they're professional sponsored competitors or whatever. But why the hell would anyone else blow that money on something made for pedals just to show how much disposable money one has i guess...
    I got a 400cc Yamaha scooter with 2 full face helmet underseat and rear rack storage, and fast enough for interstate highway travel for a little over 3k. Then again I'm about practicality. Not show off material lol.

      Just got the black and it comes with all the good stuff including the Speed carb. Even has the good clutch lever, not the push button one! The only down side is it has the gas tank with male threads and faulty gas shut off valve. It also had rust in the tank. So thats going in the garbage but I am fine with that. The drive gear was badly made and had to be replaced. It's a bit on the loud side for some reason too. Clutch was not adjusted to the proper spec at all but is an easy fix.

    If you get that "415 HD" chain on Amazon or Ebay that comes with the little free bottle of chain lube- a chain breaker will not avail you because you have to grind off one side of the pin you wish to remove and knock it out with a punch, then just use the connector link. Those chains are the best I've found, I've broken every chain I've had before I found those and I'm on my second one with the first still in reserve as backup. They are gold in color but it wears off to a more normal looking steel color.

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Are you trying to tell me that the chain breaker I have been using for 4 years won't work? ...
      It breaks and resets chains for me with out any issues, you are doing something wrong.
      Please stop grinding your pins, and please stop telling others to do the same!
      I know what chain you are talking about by the way, I use my breaker on them and have never had a problem. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013RU6KYO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1

      @codelicious6590 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LAHover Theres nothing wrong with grinding a chain pin off at the end if it belongs to the part thats coming off and not being used. I just never used a chain breaker because the one i had to begin with was for bicycle chains, was inadequate so I made due with what I had at my disposal at the time, then it just worked so I never saw the need for a heavy duty chain breaker, because none of the parts I ever grinded on went back onto the working moving operating bits. So, I dont see the danger of doing it if thats the case. So, actually the only reason I just assumed a breaker would not work with this particular chain is because I notice the pins look as though they have been peened over the holes in a more secure manner, as on a motorcycle chain, I guess the heavier duty breakers just power those out regardless of whether or not they are peened over, or is that generally done only to one side? It sure looks as though the pins are the same on both sides. Huh, I guess ya learn something new every day however, I dont see how it was any harm to anyone this assumption and the accompanying advice but nevertheless I do apologize.

    As far as that Roadmaster, i had that frame brake in two places. The downtube cracked and the rear triangle on the left side bent in over about 2000 miles till it wasn't straight enough to run, i assume the constant pressure from the motor for about a year of running it on a 32tooth sprocket at 45miles a hour just slowly broke the frame and bent the rear, but i also had for about 3 months before swapping the frame no front mount other then a ubolt on the exhaust to since it had cheap 6mm studs that broke

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should be uploading a dedicated clutch video this week that will answer many questions about issues builder have to deal with.
      In the mean time make sure that there is no grease on the front or back friction plates, as well as the front or back of the pads (the clutch grabs from both sides).
      Also make sure you did not lose the set screw that keeps the flower nut in place, and that the clutch shaft woodruff key is not missing/damaged.
      Be sure have grease on the clutch cam, bucking bar, and bucking bar bearing.
      When adjusting the clutch arm/cable, make sure the clutch arm is nearly parallel to the motor case/sprocket cover. Then you can adjust the flower nut for engagement.
      lastly you can tighten the main spring for a stronger clamping force by removing the cable retaining bolt, holding the main spring nut in place with a screwdriver, and rolling the bike forward slightly.

      The issue with most bike in the $500 range is they come with rear disk brakes. So unless you can find a gas bike frame in stock you are likely going to have to deal with adapting a disk/sprocket combo, (witch I don't know how to do yet) or giving up rear brakes... As soon as I find a higher end bike that fits a motor well I will do an update.

      In case you missed it in the last two videos, the Seeutek will fit inside the Kent Bayside, and that is a solid frame, you can also upgrade allot of part on that frame.

      @@LAHover ok I will look into the Bayside. Saw the one bike on bbr tuning but $800 seems a bit steep. Might as well get something cheaper as a beginner. I appreciate you taking the time out of your day to respond, really enjoy your channel and will check out those vids. Best of luck to you!!

    What is the chain that the YD100 uses?

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 415, 415H and 41 roller chain will fit the stock YD-100, as well as most (if not all) motorized bike sprockets. But all YD-100 kits that I know of will come with a 415.

      @@LAHover so 415 is sightly smaller than 41? i bought a half-link and it's a 41 and seems a little big on width

    • @LAHover
      @LAHover 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Thrashaero I know the 41 is stronger. If I remember correctly it has thicker links, or thicker rollers. But the 41 uses slightly thinner pins. So I would not try to jam a 415 pin into a 41 roller or vise versa... If you are in a pinch the 41 half link may work on the 415 chain as long as you use the 41's pins, but watch out for chain skipping/binding during your first ride.

      @@LAHover ya i'm in a pinch now, damn master link popped off and my tensioner went into the spokes getting all beat up. no 415 at any stores around town. Though I dont know how 41 pins are going to fit in 415 plates without just sliding out. whyyyyy must they use this wonky size and not one of the other sizes that's similar and readily available ughhhhhhhh
