I am someone who thinks the previous generation (e-Niro) actually looks much better than the new generation which, from the front looks quite like so many other Kia models(apart from EV6). From the rear - well, I'm not exactly sure where I've seen a similar rear before - maybe the Ford Focus. Unfortunately the GT-line apart from being way over-priced looks a bit 'try hard', a bit 'look at me'. This is the case especially with the different coloured C-pillar, etc. Aesthetics is a very personal thing though, I'll admit.
For me it's somewhat of a pity, because the internal features of the car (as with the previous generation) seem well thought-out, very good quality and generally quite excellent (particularly the V2L). Charging speed, in my case is not such an issue, as I do most of that at home.

I have bought one recently and it works well, the range is really value for the money, and loadspeed is no issue, cause i charge it at home wen i go to sleep. Thank you for this review.

Thanks you for your review. Interesting to get the perspective of someone driving in the Netherlands rather than UK where I live. I love our eNiro which has another 2 years on the lease. From what I've seen of this model I would prefer another one like we have now! The 'old' model has more buttons but is neater in design IMO. I hate the touch screen only approach used by Tesla. These take far longer to select functions - eyes off the road - so more dangerous to drive. Cant afford a Tesla anyway 🙂

I am afraid the real elephant in the room is the price for Kia,that,in the tested version is around 50k € in Italy.(before subsidies, discounts, promotions)
At the price range,or even lower, there is the manufacturer who is setting the standards in efficiency, range and entertainment, with an equivalent suv.
And ,as the latest Shanghai auto show suggests, new brands are coming, with aggressive price policies.

I find mine pretty fun to drive compared to my previous gas-powered Kia Soul. Especially if I’m on the highway and I kick it into Sport mode. The instant torque really makes me stick to the back of my seat.

Just a note here, the "i-Pedal" feature has a bug where it won't light up the brake lights when it's slowing you down, unless you take your foot completely off the pedal....but the braking level during i-Pedal mode is very strong, so most normal braking is done with the pedal partially pressed. If you take your foot completely off, you will brake *very* fast. Anyway, KIA has said that this pretty serious safety bug will probably be fixed with a firmware update soon.

Evs with vtl should really have a socket in the car like the honda e so you can use it in the go

Forgot to mention but this Kia Niro EV does. It is under the rear seats.

Charging speed is really the only issue, besides of course a ‘3’ or ‘4’ getting dangerously close in price to an entry EV6!
I could live with 80kW/h speed, personally, but if not, chuck an extra £5-7.5k at it and buy EV6. Either way, two great cars.

I always thought the eSoul was a better deal, but no one ever talks about it. How is it selling?
