    Did You actually phisically check the computer 62.8?! I have a new model Ford that is off in showing avg.consump. but in a very good way, it's actually lower by 15-ish% regularly. But here I have a feeling (full tank to top, almost done, bact to top/milage done by galons) is gona show sth. else... Also what about the current consump. At 70-85mph, would be a very relevant, valuable info.

    The main issue is that the trophy one is 20.5k. 21k with a colour. Thats just too much when a similarly equipped dacia sandero is 14.5k, 16k for the stepway, which is a bigger car. And the hybrid system is a gimmick. In real terms youll be lucky to break 55 mpg with the mg3, the sandero gets 50 mpg but is also 20! Insurance classes lower

    • @MrSensible2
      @MrSensible2 28 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      In addition to extra cost, a bigger 7.5kWh battery would add significantly more weight. As I see it, the problem with a lot of today's automotive tech, be it BEV, PHEV or HEV, is that all that extra weight compromises the very thing you've trying to improve on which is fuel economy. My very basic, ultra lightweight Suzuki regularly returns 70+ mpg & it's done it consistently over 8 years of ownership. It's the most efficient car I've driven in 45 years of being behind the wheel. It weighs in at a mere 835 kg! Sometimes the neatest technical solutions are the simplest ones...

    Thankyou Nice motor, efficiency and Hybrid ? Lol .. bit of an oxymoron., why not make it a BEV and done with? surely the MG4 has led the way .
    Now that public (ie destination) charging is increasingly available everywhere pretty much, why are SAIC mucking about with fossil fuel powered cars ? Very short term thinking.
    Compelled by the design and very clever compactness but to me pointless petrol/ electrics engine(s) in a small car. 62 to the gallon hmm my old Zafira diesel would do that .
    BTW that was relegated (but not disposed of) to be replaced by an MG4 , not perfect ( what car is) but at about 2p per mile 11k miles plus now in 18 months, is far more worthwhile

      @@TheKkpop1 I not a Chinese hater but l do hate Chinese built vehicles they are crap and unfortunately we get them in Australia and some Australians know they are crap they are very poorly built LDVs rust BYDs rust and l know people in the motor industry know that they are crap about 20 years they sold GWM SUVs and Ute's and you are very lucky to see any on the road they didn't last 10 years as for there EVs BYDs stands for Burn Your Drive or Driveway but now l myself own a 1997 Toyota Hilux has only done 437000 kilometres and l have owned it for five years and it's still running very well it doesn't burn oil and there many 20 and 30 year old Toyota's driving around and a Chinese built vehicle will not last ten years and by the way my Hilux has no bad rust but in N.S.W every vehicle over 5 years old has to have a yearly registration inspection and my 27 year old Hilux has never failed because of rust
