Nick your 45 that’s a young kid 🤣. I’m on my second ebike 2021 trek rail 5 highly modified and I’m 61 and only getting started . You would not believe what us old guys can do. I come from motocross and road racing (crotch rocket)background so like you I ware a lot of protection. Full face helmet all the time. Keep shredding guys. Great video.

I had the 2020 E Reign and updated to the 2022 Reign E+2, WOW what a bike. I'm an intermediate older rider and felt so confident on the bike I raced for the first time ever in the CES (California Enduro E Series) and loved it. I turned it into a more trails bike after the season with different wheels and a different suspension set up and its been great on 30+ mi rides. I have the new 800 W battery and have gone 45mi with 5500' elevation with battery left over.
The Reign is such a sick bike, I've done 1500kms so far and loving it. I have had a couple of issues thou, my frame cracked which Giant replaced within a week with the E+0 green frame and motor has started making a grinding noise which is getting sorted under warranty atm. As the price of bikes keeps going up Giant is one of the best bang for buck manufacturers.
It really is my long term review will be out this December shot in Australia 🇦🇺! Did the frame crack or was it the filler under the paint 🎨? I’ve heard it’s the filler not the frame!

We go our hands on an E+0 fall last year. Only had 1 day on it myself at a bike park. It was a lovely bike and the front was super planted. The weight and the motor put us off buying one to race but for fun I would buy one. Great value for money. The spec on the E+0 is really good for the price! 👍

I'm going to buy a reign tomorrow it's a 2020 E2.
I don't care it's not the latest I am going to project bike it.
I rode one in 2020 and I just couldn't get over that reign.
I bought the trance 2019 E plus 1.
My daughter will inherit the trance now.

Only news available to date from giant is the reign E+ 1
I've ridden quite a few E-bikes but this Reign E+0 is definitely the best i have ridden so/owned so far, great bike, great warranty and great overall machine

Sold and now riding a Whyte E-180 Works, the Reign I am still sad to no longer own though! And will possibly own one again in the future when they bring out an updated model 😊@camwells9726
@@EMTBOllie ok I’m looking at getting my first e bike , the 2024 model e+1 in particular is selling at a great price . I suspect it’s the same frame as last year with a few spec changes.
The reach stack measurements on the large are almost identical to my nukeproof mega l so I know it will be a great fit .
But I’m just not sure whether it’s now a bit dated and newer bikes coming onto the market will be better ?
No, its super low BB is great its the reason i went with the whyte as it has a similar low bb. You wont regret it, its great, what country are you buying in?@camwells9726

I could not get a Reign E+0 so I bought a +2, got the 800 battery as an extra, upgraded it to Shimano XTR brakes, Shimano Link Glide drivetrain and Fox forks and shock on it. Got a better paint job in my opinion. Great bike.

I love this bike and wanted one, unfortunately they are all sold out here in NZ🙁 I have the 2021 Trance e+0 and love it. I want the bigger battery and more travel so here’s hoping the 2023 reigns will be out soon. Great review 👍👍

Brakes are always an interesting topic... I also went from XT to RSC and I felt the Sram brakes made me more confident and faster. I just love the modulation and the power feels pretty good. My Meta Power comes with 220mm rotors and it's just sweeeeet!

It cracked all the way around, not to sure if it was paint or filler but kudos to Giant replaced the frame within 5 days, the guys at the shop told me the E+0 frame is different somehow it looks like Giant have beefed up the area. Maybe it was a bad batch but to replace it with that specific frame tells me Giant knows something was wrong and have changed the process.

I bought E+1 half year ago - still puting huge smile every time I ride it. I really LOVE this tank with suspension :D

I’m really curious to know how much Sam Waze if the Ozzie Punter Weighs 100kg. For me at 185 pounds I realize my friends that are 160lbs have a large advantage over me climbing and battery life. He definitely looks like he’s carrying at least 20 to 30 pounds more than Sam so if that bike will keep up I am very impressed

@@SamsBikes I mean he said he’s buying the reign when he sells his old bike, just wondered if the trance was in his thoughts when choosing his next bike
I‘ve got the E+2, in comparison to the rest of the market a great offer. Drives well, only the motor is not so great, the Bosch of my girlfriends bike is more punchy and easier to hold a wheels with.
Why don't the government allow the pedal assistance limit go up on ebikes when they allowing e scooters going around with unlimited speeds

Good EMTB's aren't cheap but, Giant has some pretty good deals. Those codes have to go though 😁 Got Saints on my 2 but, I like snappy 😁 brakes

I'm just working on the small jumps at the moment - I know one thing I have the brakes on most of the time when going Downhill the Giant Trance are Bulk Fast, "hahaha scary"

Very different bikes! The reign is going to give you more power and I think more range

How come Giant is notorious for their bad customer support?
Almost bought this one,then I found topic about cracks on frames....
Frames not cracking it was the filler to make the frames look more like carbon I was told
Giant Sync Drive / Yamaha auto-assist mode is a disaster: way way too slow to react :
Man I wish the reign E+0 was 4.999€, it's actually 7.799 😂

@@SamsBikes @6:05 you've got the little spec sheet, you probably meant that the reign series starts at 4.999 but the last entry is 725WH battery that only the e+0 sports, hence the confusion 👍
