I got the 2020 reign and it's a missile. Bullet proof build typical Giant. I love the inspiring feel to the bike. Coming from a Trance Just replaced my bars with fat bar lite with a 40mm rise.
Really nice review, thanks! I’ve done 1,000 km on mine without issue, it is good to have someone else’s perspective… easy to forget how good this bike really is. Wish I could ride it like you do! 👍
Great review. this is my first Ebike. bit late for the comments, sorry. Completely agree, its a weapon, yet you can move it around on the trail as u want to. ride all day, and get twice as much done.. in half the time. It's also bloody amazing fun, whuch is what we all want !! To help / answear the brakes comments.. (i've ridden soso any brakes in the past) I put Galfer discs and pads on the XTs... and the result has been mint.. tested on the Golfie.. and many huge Scots descents, hope that helps.
Nice review….I’ve been disappointed since getting my E+2 last December….it’s just spent the last 2 months with my dealer and giant trying to rectify faults…their approach has been to replace 1 item of the electrical component at time, only to realise, that it could be something else and each time I encounter another 2 week delay whilst they wait for parts from Holland….they are at the point where they are now replacing the motor! I may sell it when I get it back and invest in a Spesh as my mates get their issues turned around in a couple of hours! That aside I’ve been pleased with the bike…it’s just the after service that sucks …..
Great long term review Pete. Still think it's the best bang for buck ebike around at the moment. Interested to hear your views on the xt brakes, I can't really fault them, plenty of power even on an ebike. Only issue I've had is rotor wear, but that may be down to the places I ride.
Cheers Jez. Yeah, would agree with that. For the money its certainly a seriously strong contender for the eBike of the year. Does everything so well. Brakes wise, I like the XT's but the wondering bite point is an ongoing issue for me.
Great bike, I've been loving mine, my dropper post decided to stop working after 100 miles but other than that it's a beast, where are these trails? They look pretty good! Thanks for the video
I'm 85kg and the bike is 27kg now with new maxxis on the back (+300gr). but the problem was also when the bike was more lighter. Reading on internet the peoples like me makes more than 1500m with third assistance. My battery has 96% healthy. I can't explain.@@alex1_matthews
Ever had any issues with pedal strike? A friend has one and was having a lot of strike. Changed the chip to the High position and went to 160mm cranks (were 165mm) and its a bit better now.

Good test.I’d like to learn more about battery and charging I just got mine

Cheers Bushmonkey. These are some of the lesser known trails around Cannock.
any updates on your Reign?
Great video
Thanks for the video. Have you ridden a Trek Rail for comparison?
Bel Video, che taglia hai usato?
non ho visto se hai montato la borraccia? ci sta una borraccia da 650ML?
How many miles do you get from an average ride? And what does it weigh? Thanks
Mine is 85 kgs and 1300m d+ and 32 kms in warm winter only with second assistance (green trail mode). I'm a little bit disappointed with range.
@@valeriomoretta thanks for replying. 32km isn’t a lot is it. How much does the bike weigh? I’m guessing not 85kg? Thanks

@@alex1_matthewsI’m guessing he meant to say 25 , haven’t weighed mine but that seems to be the common answer other owners say
Random question dude what camera are you using? 👍
Hey. This was all filmed on a GoPro Hero 9.
@@peterbooker1995 thanks 👍

Be very careful on chipping it.
They are programmed to sniff out “tampering “ and lock the motor.
