    Just found your channel today. it's awesome. i have a 22 Reign +1. . fully support this review. Hilarous to see the sticky tape Giant logo also has been "lost" on your motor ;) defo agree with the sizing. i'm 5ft 7. medium frame feels great to climb.. and behaves like an old school DH bike downhill. I have upgraded to the 800 battery. I've never used full power off road, dont need to. the range is outragoeus... 75km+ on level 3 with 2000m ascent. i'm 76kg fully loaded. Agree, it's a beast, needs aggro to launch. Rediculous stability. no major electronic isses after 1500km in the wet of a UK winter. my first eBike ( 20years MTB) , not looking to move to another any time soon.

    Great review Sam ! I just bought en E+1 and ALL, I say ALL your comments are exactly what I felt on mine : took a large size while i am 1M75, changed the bars for a Renthal Fat Bar in 40MM that super optimizes the position....cool to see that your sensations are the same than mine. A super bike, full throttle and full pleasure ! thanks for this super review !

    Loving my Reign e+2, I've had it 9 months now with 1200kms on it. I totally agree, it's a very forgiving and confidence inspiring machine. Just a beast on the downhill stuff.

    Hey Sam,
    Good honest review, thanks for sharing and all the hard work!
    I see a lot of very positive comments on Trance as well, but my experience with both these bikes says rider position is way different and for me, the Reign takes it on everything (trail, enduro, going up or down…)
    Nice weather you’re having… Cheers! 👍

    "Great pricing". Depends on how you look at it.
    I was a little shocked spending 7K to the door for a 2022 Canyon Spectral ON CF8, after 3 rides I'm more than sold.
    It loves downhill, works great on fast flow trails, it feels really good trailriding, its comfortable and smooth on the rocky trails here.

    Hey Sam, nice review, just wanted to say I’ve had of one these for about a year. Good bike, really happy with it as an enduro shuttle machine, it’s really helped him improve my riding. But I did just have the frame replaced for cracking, not just filer. Giant we’re good about it, warranty replacement, only took 2 weeks. Fingers crossed new frame is better.

    Nice review. Finally there are bikes back in the shops, what a shit show during covid trying to get a bike. So easy yesterday as I just walked into the Trek store first and test rode a couple of different Rails, and really liked them, especially the ease of battery removal. Then I went to the Giant store and rode three different bikes including the Reign. I should mention that up to now I have still been riding my old Trek 970. I kind of got out of Mtn bike riding and got into motorcycles starting back in 2008. First a couple of KLR's, CRF250LR, then Aprila Shiver and two Africa Twins. Where am I going with this your wondering, ok, the Reign feels more like motorcycle than any other bikes of ever ridden. For the money it's pretty good value. My purchase experience with my salesman was below average I would mention though, and he was the manager. Anyways I think this bike is going to be a ton of fun, and by the way I'm a 65 year young grey hair. No laughing eh.. Cheers :)

    Hey Sam. Thank you for your perfect videos, reviews and tests. Now you got me with the reign e+. I had the chance to ride the e+3 2023 today and that bike impressed me completely. Even if the fork and damper are not top of the pops, that bike rides also like riding on clouds. The syncdrive motor runs completely different compared to my actual bosch gen4 in my hardtail. That e+ catched me. I tested it in frame size xl cause i am 6"3 with 105 kg. I am not sure if the e+3 with that fork and damperset holds my weight over the time or maybe i need to go for a stronger fork and damper set. Also the ground clearance scared me a bit, there was not much room left to the ground. Maybe setting the flipchip in H position helps a bit. Thanks for all your videos man, they help a lot. See you on the next trail.

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mate congrats on the new beast! You know those domains are pretty ok you can actually change the chargers, I would think about that and maybe grab some 155 cranks and put the bike in the high position you will love it bro!

      @@SamsBikes Hey Sam. Thanks again for your advice with the Giant Reign E+2. I am so damn happy with this bike. Sram Code R brakes are working very good. The Rockshox ZEB Select works ok for me, if I need more i would go with a zeb ultimate charge 3 insert. The fox damper has to do a lot of work with my weight of 105 kg. I need to ride it with around 250-260 psi to get the sag. Only a bit room left to the limit. But at the moment it works good. The whole Bike is perfect for me. More than enough travel, very good geometry and I ride it with Flipchip in H-position. Don´t stop giving advices and tips like that bro. Have a nice day and see you on the next trail.

    I love my E+ 2. Amazing bike and you're absolutely spot on with how stable it is. I do find that when riding trails the ride can be a bit hard, no matter how you tune the air pressure and low speed compression , but it's really only a very minor point and once you hit the gnarl...well it's a beast! As it happens I'm fitting an Ohlins coil shock this week (being a fat b'strd I think it will smooth out the ride more for me)

    Got the '23 Reign E+2 about a month ago. Just noticed that the rear wheel is offset to the left of the seat tube by about 0.25". And no it's not an illusion caused by the asymmetrical shape of the rear triangle. The wheel is clearly not centered. Has anybody else noticed this on their Reign?

    Hey Sam, thx for all your Videos. I really enjoy your content quite a while. Thank you also for this absolutely legendary Review.
    I watch this review over and over again and this bike doesn’t go out of my mind, because of your review. The only thing that is holding me back from buying this banger is my experience with my actual E-Bike. I own a 2019 Canyon Spectral:On 11:17 with a Shimano EP8000 motor on it. That motor ist absolutely lovely until I hit the 25 km/h or it turns out of battery! That moment is an absolute fun killer.
    Can you tell me how the SyncDrive Motor is performing after 25 km/h mark or when it runs out of battery?

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Riders thanks for the kind words, ok how does the Syncdrive Pro ride when out of battery or over the limiter! Well I think most ebikes are pretty bad in this situation but I don’t think the Syncdrive is good or bad it’s pretty normal! My advice buy the 800wh in the Reign and go nuts it’s a great bike

    Hi Sam,
    I know you address this in the video but I'm turn between trance and reign. I live in Madrid and am interested in riding everything the Sierra has to offer in terms of natural trails but not so much bikeparks. I also would ride hoyos/pardo etc. I like the idea of the confidence the reign would give but feel it would be overkill in pardo for example. I'm more interested in getting down mountain safely than performing jumps. Which would you recommend?

    • @SamsBikes
      @SamsBikes  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey mate maybe watch the trance review as well. If I had to pick one for the Sierra I would go the Trance I find it more fun you get more feedback from the trails but I’m a pretty experienced rider 100% the Reign is going to be safer for someone that doesn’t have a lot of experience and wants to push the bike a little harder.

    Nice work, how does it compare to your levo dream build? I believe the levo is the better bike on trail, but the motor issues are too likely on the spesh... Just wondering is the levo miles better, or could the reign be built up to ride as fast/fun on enduro level trails?

    Interesting that you say for this would suit a newer rider. I’m definitely a newer rider. I’ve had some experience riding light trails on a hard tail, very heavy e bike. I’m about to turn 55 and picking up my first of 2 bikes today. First one is the Trek fuel exe 9.8xt. I’ve also ordered the Giant trance x advanced e+1. I am a little crazy when I ride things. I just sold an electric scooter that I rode on fire breaks, fully suspended machine. Doing jumps etc. so even though I plan to take it easy on the bikes, I know that I will go a bit crazy,
    probably sooner rather than later. So now I’m thinking of canceling the Trance and waiting for the suitable model of reign to come back in stock. They still have the 2023 Reign E+3 in stock. What is your opinion of that model. And do you think for my situation I should get the reign? I’m feeling that it could be the safer option.

    Here’s my long-term review… ride my 2022 E+2 advanced for six months after taking a delivery mid September 2022… on March 10 I had a motor failure during a ride, as of today, my bike has been at the shop for two days short of seven weeks…Giant claims the only known cause of the engine malfunction code is tampering with the assist speed limiter circuit… I never attempted to or installed a speed box, or even opened up the motor covers etc…and it failed in the middle of a ride, and sent them the ride/motor data from my Garmin which was synced during the ride it failed on. I believe my very reputable bike shop is trying their hardest to get resolution on this, but the fact I’ve been without a bike I paid quite a bit of money for, and only rode for six months, is extremely frustrating. Even if my bike is returned to me today and works great from here on out I will never buy another giant E bike, or recommend them to anyone else regardless of how good of value they supposedly are. This is my third eBike, my first two were Haibikes… no motor or other warranty claim issues with either of them, 7000 mostly mountain trail miles between the two of them. Oh, and speaking of miles in January, my bike shop did a tuneup and ever since then the mileage was not increasing on the odometer, which was some sort of communication chip failure that happened before the motor failure…

    Hey Sam,
    How's the power delivery cut off when bike reaches speed limiter? Sudden like a Bosch? Or more gradual like a Brose.
    Cheers bro.

      Can you go ride on? I think it would be fine also remember the steep sea tube angle 📐 makes the bike feel smaller than it is.

    • @SamsBikes

      Levo is more a TrailDuro where the Reign is more a DH ebike! Yes it’s 170-160 but feels like a Kenevo

    After about 3 years the last Keurig stopped working th-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf initially was able to unblock, however eventually we couldn't fix. That one was a replacement unit sent by the manufacturer after we had problems with our very first Keurig. This works fine (lol, at least for now) however I didn't realize the water reservoir was so much smaller than our prior unit. With 2 people having one or two cups of coffee each morning, it seems like I'm refilling it daily. Otherwise just happy to have the convenience of pod coffee vs. making a morning pot.
